This is SO HELPFUL! I'm about to buy my first bike private seller, and as woman who admittedly knows nothing about motorcycles beyond how to drive one, I'm nervous. This video gave me a starting point. Thanks
Andrew , thanks for taking the time to put this video together. You seem to put people first, and that is rare in today's world, especially when it's about making money. Wish you many blessings on your business and life. I live in NJ ,but I would definitely consider purchasing from you. Keep putting people first!
Everything that he said to do I did the opposite. I paid for it in the long run. Nice video! I will never buy a bike or car without following his steps. Thank you very much. I wish I would have watched this video before I bought my aprilia. Live and learn
I appreciate the help and I made a list. I did notice you almost broke character when saying you liked the bike and you wanted it. I can see how owning that bike would ALWAYS put a smile on your face.. Thanks again...
Would you please open a dealership in Sw Montana. I would buy a bike from you, ESPECIALLY that Panagalle! All jokes aside, I share the same passion and your just a good dude.
Really great video.... thank you! Going to look at Gixxer 750 with 22k miles for $5k. The seller wanted to meet at a school parking lot but since he wants cash I requested to meet at a Police Station for the transaction
Very well done thank you! I'm a new rider with asperations of owning a Honda Goldwing with all the fixings. My trainer says that it would be a good idea for me to start off purchasing a used bike. I live in California and I trust only you, do you have machine for me? Steve
I've never ridden a motorcycle before and I want to get one so bad I have no one to go check out used bikes with so thanks for making this video I at least know what to look for on used bikes.
Hey buddy great video. Thanks for all the great info on purchasing a bike. I love that you said wear your gear cause I see so many people riding without it and that so dumb. I tell everyone to wear gloves helmet and any other riding gear they may have. I wear boots riding pants jacket and always gloves. Ride safe and God Bless buddy.
Many times Zillow will not give you the actual value of the home as it doesn’t check all other factors. If you get the name, address you can go to the county assessor office and see if the guy is a homeowner and his name should pop out. If he is renting that house then it wouldn’t matter. Also have a ccw
I almost went dealership. But for a $4,999 bike I would've been paying almost 7k out the door. Just decided to go the private route instead. Way cheaper and a wider selection of bikes
The bike that I am looking at the seller says "no test rides, I will ride and you can follow" It seems like a huge red flag to me as if there is something wrong with the bike, like a shake or vibration that would be felt while only while riding. Most I have seen say test rides with cash in hand, but what would be the reason for someone to say no test rides period?
Hi Andrew! Any tips on the price for a use bike. I used KBB and NADAguides for a 2001 Triumph Bonneville T100 (18K miles) and it range from 3K to 4K depending on the condition. The owner made lots of modification and is asking 6K. What's your take on this super clean bike. Is it even worth going to take a look, at that price?
Great question. It truly depends on your taste. Some individuals enjoy the older year motorcycles with specific aftermarket parts, and others may want the newest year for the money. www.cycletrader.com/2015-Triumph-Bonneville/motorcycles-for-sale?make=Triumph%7C2321036&model=BONNEVILLE%7C764861961&year=2015%3A2015 I found 2015s going for your price range at dealerships. Perhaps you can find something newer for less, with less modifications however that will be your choice. Sounds like you will be a winner either way as you cruise your Triumph! I wish my dealership had one to sell you. Keep an eye on Moramoto.com, we may have one soon 😊
depends on the engine. There are some rotax V2 engines on aprillias who can run for 30 000 miles and still be within spec, if it is a ducati desmodromic engine, hell no. Having good set of ears on you can also help, if anything sounds weird during the cold start of a motorcycle or during engine run, and guy didnt check for valve clearances. i would think twice before buying, also. if bike has no service history, ask him how to change the oil on the bike. how to maintain a chain, change brakes and so on, or even how to check for valve clearances, if he doesnt know, he didnt do it. If he tells you he serviced at particular place. its usually worth a trouble to go there and give the mechanic 20 bucks to tell you what condition the bike is in. Just some street knowledge for you. from a fellow biker. Ride safe mate 👍
It's been an excellent buyers and sellers tutorial. That's how it's done 💯. Congratulations on your business hermano. This will help me indeed on check a Triumph Tiger on sale. Thanks papá.

really good advice man
I’m looking to buy my first buy. Kind of nervous about buying from a private seller. But the dealership prices are pretty wild when comparing.

Paranoid you’re gonna steal it or there might be something wrong
Great stuff! Especially the seller research.
Thank you very much!
Oh man this video is amazing!!

Great video 👍
Very informative
This is Andrew and I want to say thank you very much! I really appreciate this feedback.
Replacing break pads is too cheap to be a variable when gauging the value a motorbike
Laughed so hard when the garage door opened 🤣

How important would you consider a valve adjustments to have been done with the bike above 20,000 miles?

I don’t think private sellers exist
Difficult to find a perfect motorcycle but certainly possible. I wish you luck on finding anything you want.
@@MoramotoTV thanks, not tons of riders in New England and if they have an xr650 they’re hoarding it and I can’t blame them.
Make sure that youre carrying a firearm (legally).
