I don't think there would be a sub and I also don't think you realize the impact of passive radiator on bass extension. Those are tiny speakers for tiny rooms. It doesn't really make sense to use them if you have a sub. They're not made for that.
@@jas_bataille most speakers are not really „made for a sub“. Almost every speaker can profit by adding a sub. 30 years ago i remember the audiophiles complaining about subs but thank God this way of thinking is long gone and Subs have proven their worth and are here to stay. You win upper bass and midrange reserves on the Satellites as their woofer is less stressed if you keep the lower bass away from them . Also you don`t need a manufacturer to provide you a matching subwoofer. This also is not rocket science. You can find one that matches any speaker if you look in this vast market that exists today. A passive radiator is simply the expensive and better brother of Bass reflex. It does not have any kind of „impact“ on low end, it simply works better than reflex ports most times. Its not rocket science.That said If you want low bass from a driver the more bass you achieve the less spl you gain. Its always a give and take. A passive radiator will not give you more spl than a normal port, you can simply sometimes easier tune it deeper than fitting a long reflex port in a speaker but thats another discussion. My two cents
Hi @TH-lo8mq! Thanks for your question! They come with the smaller, detachable stands but they are mountable to any standard microphone stand! Best, Jasper
how do these compare to the T5V for musicproduction purposes? are these more colored for "fun" listening or do they too aim for a flat frequency response?
They differ especially in SPL, size, and portability. You don't need a dedicated interface for these for example. They have a flat response from 45 Hz - 23.2 kHz at -6dB SPL and they are made for professional applications. Of course, the convenience with USB-C makes them also great for entertainment purpose. Greetings, Daniel
How much extra would it have added to the total cost if both speakers had separate amps as opposed to one of them being a slave? Was that the4 main reason for going this route? But in the end I guess, it's the audio performance that matters and the benchmark is the iLoud micro. It'll be interesting to see what the pros are saying. Well done, Adam!

Hi @annebokma4637, the D3Vs are mountable to standard microphone stands, which makes them very flexible in mounting :) The connection between the two speakers allows to control both speakers at once via the frontside knob of the active speaker.
@@ADAMAudioBerlin I know, but I still prefer your T7V. Just wish those had that same mounting option. The A7V can be mounted easier. But those aren't in my budget ... If you buy 2 pairs of D3V, how do you best connect them to work together in a (4.0.0) surround sound system (i.e. one front-left channel, one front-right channel, one rear-left channel, one rear-right channel)?
Hi @theshushubird! Thanks for your question! When using them for a multichannel setup, you would need to connect via the TRS inputs, where the corresponding outputs of the interface would need to be connected to the active speakers of each pair. I hope this helps you out!
Hi ADAM Audio, I just have a quick question. I love the sound of my D3V speakers, but I'm having some high frequency clarity issues at low volumes. It sounds like the tweeters are disabled past a certain threshold. Are you guys aware of this, and is there any way that could be fixed with a firmware update? Thank you.
Hi Thursday, thank you for reaching out. Do you think these would have enough connectivity and low end for music production and DJ’ing to replace a pair of KRK Rokit 5s (G4)? I have a small room, not really sound treated.
You need your own correction software like IK, and sell this pair along with a measurement microphone (with a calibration file). We are waiting for these features in the MK2 version =) Looks great and a great idea. I hope there are no problems with the mid frequencies that the T series has (the middle is missing there, unfortunately 😑)
Room correction software can fix issues in the frequency domain, but it can't do anything about issues in the time domain, and arguably most rooms without treatment will still suffer from those issues
@@RollrightKnights Just curious in case of a final mix what would a mix without correction software be on a relative scale of 1-10 vs mix with correction software vs mix with treated room mixed by a prof mixer? Just so I can understand how much of a difference the issues in the time domain translate to the deficiencies of a real mix
My PC speakers are aging and I'm looling to replace them. Could I connect my DAP to the DV3 by either USB-C or 4.4mm jacks with no PC connection? The speakers could then be portable to play in other rooms just using the DAP.

My two cents
why didn't room correction added like IK multimedia ?
i cant wait to get this speaker !!!!!!!!
These look like they'd be a good fit with the T10S sub using its balanced outputs.
That's cool ! looking like my old childhood speakers
Hi @adamoghoul, gxlad you like them :)
Are you guys selling the stands you use in your product photos/videos? If not, which brand is that?
Hi @TH-lo8mq! Thanks for your question! They come with the smaller, detachable stands but they are mountable to any standard microphone stand! Best, Jasper
Is the cable usb type a to c like all the other usbc cables?
Hi @NextroMusicOfficial! It's a USB-C to USB-C cable :)
Gorgeous! Especially the special edition X Files one. 😮💨
@DanDanAndMicah Thanks! 😉
how do these compare to the T5V for musicproduction purposes? are these more colored for "fun" listening or do they too aim for a flat frequency response?
They differ especially in SPL, size, and portability. You don't need a dedicated interface for these for example. They have a flat response from 45 Hz - 23.2 kHz at -6dB SPL and they are made for professional applications. Of course, the convenience with USB-C makes them also great for entertainment purpose.
Greetings,
Daniel
@@ADAMAudioBerlin The T5V requires a dedicated interface? Does that mean you can't connect the T5V straight to a MacBook with a 3.5mm to XLR cable?
How much extra would it have added to the total cost if both speakers had separate amps as opposed to one of them being a slave? Was that the4 main reason for going this route? But in the end I guess, it's the audio performance that matters and the benchmark is the iLoud micro. It'll be interesting to see what the pros are saying. Well done, Adam!
The USB connection supports only up to 16bit 48 kHz for both my PC and Mac, instead of the 24bit 48 kHz as advertised, also can't find any firmware updates.🤔
Hi @张偲-u5e! The internal AD-converter for converting the signal from the TRS-Inputs works with 24 Bit, while the USB-C connection works with 16 Bit.
You can find that info on our website under "signal processing":

Greetings from Berlin!
is there a chance the klippel measurements are uploaded to spinorama?
Hi @elliottsalt!
You'll find the measurement data here:

I have already pre-ordered the boxes. Can you please tell me which additional 3/8 microphone stands are used in the video?
Hi @elmargapp7768, Thanks for preordering!🥰 It is the K&M 232BK Tischstativ. Greetings from Berlin!
Will they work with Windows PC? I guess but haven't found info. I wanna order them they look stunning, 90's vibes
Hi @Nixxx2000! Yes, they work with any computer :) Greetings from Berlin!
Do the leds stay on at all times?
@kennethng9653 Hey there, yes it does, as it also indicates the mode which the speaker is set to. I hope this helps you out! :)
These look great!... Shame I just bought your A7V's, maybe these would have worked for me, although I do love the onboard correction feature of the A7V. How do these compare sonically? Any plans to add built in correction?

As a long-term owner of the A7Vs you are not going to regret them 😃
@@contemplativecomposer5983Absolutely, I'm very happy with them. I am a long term Adam user myself, having previously had the A7X & A5X for years in two different home studios. The A7V's are so good! 👌
Usera manual states that it has auto standby “feature” after 20 min without signal. Can it be turned off?
Hi Doctorkj!
We’ve heard feedback from several customers about the sleep mode on the D3V, and we’re happy to share that the next firmware update will address this. The standby activation time will be extended from 20 to 60 minutes, and you’ll also have the option to completely deactivate the automatic standby.
Thanks for helping us to improve your experience with the D3V-all the best from Berlin!

@@ADAMAudioBerlin Wow, good work Adam Audio. Thanks for the info.
@doctorkj5640! Thanks and have a great weekend!
i love the old school look
@verebellus 🥰
I have Adam Audio D3V. I will pair it with a T10S 10" Subwoofer. Adam audio D3v is connected to my desktop USB. What wires do I need for a subwoofer connection?
Can you connect a subwoofer via USB-C (no audio interface)?
No, that is not possible. But if you choose to use them with a sub, you can use the two balanced TSR sockets.
All the best from Berlin
LOOKS GREAT
@trancephile2412 Thanks! :)
Looks good. Doz it have ARC?
Hi @KeironRaven! You can use RCA cables with adapters to use with the TRS inputs :)
@@ADAMAudioBerlin I think the question was about room correction.
Wondering if there is a matching subwoofer?
Hi @RM-hy4so! You can use any subwoofer with them by using the TRS inputs of the D3Vs. Check out our subwoofers here:
www.adam-audio.com/en/subwoofers/
Greetings from Berlin!
Mega cool! Very curious about post-production audio applications for these!
Hi @PaulOuzounov, we hope you can try them soon! :)
There is a treaded mounting socket on the bottom?
Hi @edjefferson9175! It features a 3/8" threaded insert for mounting to microphone stands :)
The white ones eminds me of the cheap beige computer speakres you would get. Very oldschool, nice.
I still have a pair of a3x Adams which are nice, unfortunately at the moment I don’t use them because of space issues on my desk
@IlSinistero That's unfortunate, we hope you'll find a way to use them soon again! :)
About time.
Right? 😊
@@ADAMAudioBerlin Will these come in a portable case? If not. Please make something like that please. Thank you. 😊
how would these compare to the more traditional sized studio monitors, like the kali audip LP-6?
Hi @SKRDmusic! We recommend to look at the specs and if possible try them out yourself. Find here the detailed measurement report here for more details:
👉 www.adam-audio.com/content/uploads/2024/10/adam-audio-d3v-desktop-monitor-measurement-report-english.pdf
So is it 45 hz at -6 db? or -10 db?
Hi @SuryaTejSrinivas! You can have a look at the measurement data of the D3V here:

Best, Jasper
Crazyyyyyy🎉🎉🎉
@erickauffmann_official 🥰
I don't like monitors that need connection between them, so still going for the T7V. Just wish those had the threads for stands too. Way more option for placement.
Yet 😁
If the connection is just for the controls, why not over rj45 or even better, wireless? If both speakers house their own amps that should work.
Now that I have your attention, are you looking into giving the A7V network port Dante functionality? That would be awesome
Which would be better for overall use - spotify, gaming, youtube - Vanatoo T0+ or D3V?
I think I love it
🥲
If you buy 2 pairs of D3V, how do you best connect them to work together in a (4.0.0) surround sound system (i.e. one front-left channel, one front-right channel, one rear-left channel, one rear-right channel)?
Hi @theshushubird! Thanks for your question! When using them for a multichannel setup, you would need to connect via the TRS inputs, where the corresponding outputs of the interface would need to be connected to the active speakers of each pair. I hope this helps you out!
I'm wondering if these would suit an dolby atmos setup.
Yes, we are aware of the issue, and we will address this, as well as a longer standby time and the option to deactivate auto standby, with a firmware update in the new year.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or additional feedback on the D3Vs.
Thanks for choosing ADAM Audio and all the best from Berlin, Daniel.
@@ADAMAudioBerlin Great, thanks!
The Iloud Micro came a long way…Whats the price point here?
299
Hi @tobitweaks! You can find the price in our shop: shop.adam-audio.com/en/detail/index/sArticle/87 :)
What day are they released on exactly?
Hi @Frodo1000000! They are available for preorder and will be shipped in November.
Do you think these would have enough connectivity and low end for music production and DJ’ing to replace a pair of KRK Rokit 5s (G4)? I have a small room, not really sound treated.
Hi @JulianPrior! You can indeed use them for music production and DJing.
Klippel! now that's dedication 👍
@Mika-75 Always ;)
You need your own correction software like IK, and sell this pair along with a measurement microphone (with a calibration file). We are waiting for these features in the MK2 version =)
Looks great and a great idea.
I hope there are no problems with the mid frequencies that the T series has (the middle is missing there, unfortunately 😑)
Room correction software can fix issues in the frequency domain, but it can't do anything about issues in the time domain, and arguably most rooms without treatment will still suffer from those issues
@@RollrightKnights 🤫
@@RollrightKnights Just curious in case of a final mix what would a mix without correction software be on a relative scale of 1-10 vs mix with correction software vs mix with treated room mixed by a prof mixer? Just so I can understand how much of a difference the issues in the time domain translate to the deficiencies of a real mix
Maybe I've seen it wrong, but is the cable used for balanced inputs a TS instead of a balanced TRS? :)
i noticed that too 😆
My PC speakers are aging and I'm looling to replace them. Could I connect my DAP to the DV3 by either USB-C or 4.4mm jacks with no PC connection? The speakers could then be portable to play in other rooms just using the DAP.
Hi @richardbutler5504! Yes that's possible!
Wow, wow
Jez that sounds awesome! I just bought (last year) a pair of A5X + Sub 7 and actually have minimum space. So maybe I just sell them and try the D3V 🤔
@eatchy8386 Thanks for letting us know! The D3V might be the perfect solution for you! 💪
I hope a bag will be available for it. I wouldn't toss these in my backpack with those passive radiators.
@szityin Thanks for your comment, we generally recommend to transport our monitors in their original packaging. We'll consider your wish for an additional carrying bag!
I’ve got a pair of A7X and I’m looking for the ones that can generate the high frequency. Those ones are suitable for me?
Hi @MrDaigoRiki! The D3V is equipped with a 1.5" D-ART Tweeter for crystal-clear high-frequency reproduction :)
Wow love it
@29djandy awesome! 🙌🥰
nice, another 3inch speaker in the market that can go low 45hz
Look at those tiny cute radiators 🤤
@ashkanaref4056 🥹❤️
It looks like my grandma's old desktop pentium 2 computer speakers
Especially the white ones ... that would turn yellow as they get old lol
@@m-chopbeats7526 They do not make sounds when you get a text though 😂
@@ADAMAudioBerlin lol...I would definitely go for the black ones. Do you know that stand it was set on for the commercial ad?
Hi @KimJuliano-j4e! We're sure they sound better though 😏
@@ADAMAudioBerlin yep they do!, infact it sounds 500 percent way better
they're way cheaper than I expected. what's the catch?
If these ribbon tweeters deliver in the same way the other speaker models do, this will beat all competitors in the price range, and probably one step above.
@FlightdeckJohnny 😎💪
Great great great!❤
@RodrigoLana 🥰
at $300 USD these seem pretty sick.
@lucasj7577 Right? 😏
do they have a dac build in?
Hi @chrisnotyourbusines7739! Yes, they do.
will sonarworks sound id work with those ?
Hi @shumoyoyoyaya! If you're using Sound ID Reference as a plugin in your DAW, that will work of course!
I see you went with the retro design 😂
Can these connect to an Oled television?
Hi @dannykl6883! You can connect any source via USB-C or the TRS Inputs.
