Couple of things. You want to have a fuse (15a) somewhere in the positive wire, the closer to the power source the better (Google blade fuse tap) and then plug into either the Headlight or Ignition fuse in the Engine bay fuse box ( Google car model and year to find correct fuse to use).
Your Earth wire (Black) also prefers a stronger connection to something Metal, preferably unpainted under a bolt head.
Clean the surface with iso alcohol or window cleaner and allow to thoroughly dry before installing.
Find the middle of your light strip and the middle of where you intend to install before installing.
Sometimes you will have better placement of the strip underneath the front lip of the bonnet rather than along the top of the headlights and grill.
Am having a hard time installing on a dodge charger. Could you assist which fuse to use?
@findingthetruth9036 use a 10 amp fuse, any! Remove fuse with engine off, wire it around one of fuse's legs and insert back, same potion.
Or you can use any other wire which is fused. Same thing!
Why do all these videos blow past the part about the fuse
BECAUSE EVERY CAR IS DIFFERENT U HAVE TO FIND THE FUSE IN THE FUSE BOX THAT FEEDS ELECTRICITY ONLY WHEN THE VEHICLE IS LEGIT ON SO IT WONT DRAIN BAttery
For anyone wandering about this, I haven't gotten one yet, but I definitely will, in relation to the fuse part, that it just to give it power, they are just plugging into an existing fuse location, for instance if you have a 10 amp fuse and the kit comes with the 10 amp fuse, then that one fuse will become the fuse for the existing slot as well as the new LED strip, I would recommend finding a spot that is for an accessory where you don't have to use another existing used slot, but they also have these things called fuse taps and you can plug them in, connect stuff to them and plug a fuse into the back of them, it's a lot more secure, and FYI please nobody twist that wire around a ground like in the video, at min look up how to properly ground a wire and crimp a donut shaped connector on to it and unscrew a bolt, slide the connector over it and then screw the bolt back down, there are some other things you can do like sanding the paint and getting 100% solid ground, but for this little LED you can go minimal with it, but at minimum don't just loop it around the ground, it's gonna end up coming off and at min get dirt and oxidation on the wire and start to corrode and your LEDs will start messing up and either doing all kinds of wacky stuff or just altogether stop working, I hope this helped, DM me if you have questions, I have hooked light bars up, underglow, radios, speakers, backup cameras, etc. and I can help you hook your stuff up and make sure it's secure and gonna be weather resistant

For it to come on anytime the car is on, you'd tap into either the ignition fuse or an accessory that gets power when the car is on.

So the wires go where… one is ground got that…and the other ?…. Where exactly?

Connect it to the drl positive wire or fuse. That way they come on with your daytime running lights.
Check for the 12v and use a t tap connector

@@drhamrah because you have it wired directly to the battery. So it's getting constant power
@@NathanaelD no I have it on same fuse as the head lights, not the battery! Only the negative black wire is grounded to the batteries black pole. Is that why?!
