Been trying to find something like this for quite a bit. Hopefully it enhances my stock lights. Aftermarket ones seem to have a hefty price tag and lengthy confusing install.
I have a Refreshed 2022 Silverado 1500 RST. I installed this recently on my truck and maybe can help someone out there who may have some questions on this install with the same truck. Firstly I installed it on the actual hood of the truck in front of the weather strip(just my preference). You cannot see the light at all from installing it in this location(tape the light itself almost dead even to slightly proud of the edge of the hood). I ran the wires through the hood and grounded it to the negative battery terminal with a crimped electrical eyelet. The positive(red/hot wire) I ran to the engine fuse panel and used a fuse tap into fuse #28 (Park Lamp Mirror/Grill) using a micro2 5 amp fuse. The light draws about 2 amps so you don't need anything above 5 amps. When installing the fuse tap(install factory fuse on the bottom then the new fuse where the wire is part is) pay attention to the way you pull out the fuse from the panel, you will want to install the new fuse tap in the same direction. The orientation does matter so the spades should all be following in the correct direction.(watch a fuse tap video if you are unclear of what I mean.) It can potentially cause electrical issues if you do not have this orientation correct even though it will "work" either way you put it in. Those of you who have this truck know that when you hit the unlock button there is factory dynamic light show with the blinkers. When using fuse #28 the led light strip WILL activate as well when you unlock the doors in-sync with the front blinkers. The dynamic LED light will NOT stay on constant with just the DRLs on during the day. When the head lights are on at night the LED light will do its automation when the truck is started and stay illuminated until you shut the truck off. Hope this helps!
Hey, thanks for posting this! I was looking for those SilverHolder LED strips all over the place! Saw them on Instagram and thought they were pretty cool looking.
What’s your opinion about installing 2 of these LED strips on a SUV, possibly a second strip somewhere near the front grill or bumper? Would this cause issues to the battery?
No issues on battery. make sure its connected to a power source that shuts down when the vehicle if off. I saw a video on it installed on the top and bottom portion of the front grille.
Personally I would have installed it underneath the front edge of the hood instead of on top of the plastic cowling it's what I did with mine because my preferred service shop did I take my vehicle to for service said if anything happened that required them to remove that cowling they would have to disconnect and remove that strip and it would be a thousand times better underneath the edge of the hood.
Since your DRL's are on every time you start the car, why not just tap an accessory position on the fuse box under the hood? Would make the installation a LOT less complicated than pulling moldings and inner wheel wells.
If no DRL what circuit then? Lights or accessories? Hopefully mine show up soon. I tracked them to Chicago yesterday so hopefully here soon. Going on my wife's 95 Z28.

Any fuse that shuts off when the vehicle turns off. And turns on when you start the vehicle. You can use a voltage meter. Could be cig fuse, horn fuse, or something like that
You can use any fuse that shuts off when the vehicle is off. Preferably below 10 amps. You can tap directly to a power source wire like parking lights.
Do you have a voltage meter? Use that to find a fuse that has no current when the vehicle is off. Then turn on the engine and check if that same fuse has current. If you find one use a piggy back fuse or fuse tap to connect the red wire.

@Luis Acevedo try and look for an acc or cigarette fuse. Something that turns off when the engine is off and on when engine is on. Look in the front fuse box first. Easier wiring.

Is this true? What is the difference in brightness? I would really appreciate your assistance and response. Thank you
Thanks for the great video. I just ordered this for my car. On the seller's website they mentioned these can be wired into the turn signal. Any tips for that? Or would you recommend that not be done? I would assume you would need 2 separate strips, one for each signal, right? I am familiar with tape/rope lights and know how to solder lead wires onto them. Just looking for some advice. Thanks. Also I noticed that you didn't show anything about trimming the end of the light strip. Usually most tape lights have designated points for cutting. Is that the same case here?
No. You van wire to any power source. However, sequential effect will happen on initial start. Example. If wired to your high beams. Sequential sequence will only happen once you turn your high beams on. Once you turn off the high beams the entire light unit will turn off.
Hello, I have one question, are this LED Strips allowed in Germany? The german TÜV is so strict here. 😉 I think this could look nice on my new Ford MK8. 🤔
Some cars have DRL fuse in the fuse box. You can use that. If not, unplug one headlight harness and use a volt meter. Note which wire has no current going through when the vehicle is off. Now start the car and check the wires again to which one now has current going through. More than likely you can use that wire.
Hey... I did mine last night. Great product. My only problem is that I attached to the grill and a small amount of the red tape from the top of the strip is showing. If I pull off then it might stick to hood as well. Any ideas on getting the glue off the top of the strip?
I don't know how to remove the adhesive easily. I would try to just put a little oil on the adhesive so it does not stick any more or place a clear tape on top of it.

Can I cut the dynamic hood LED's? I'm about 16" too long to fit between my lights.
Not recommended as the lighting sequence will be off centered.
Question: When you use a multi-meter for the DRL...are you having your running lights on and then checking for power going to one of those wires when the DRL is on? I'm guessing yes :)
Yes
What if the DRLs are Switch Backs with turn signals also? Wont that cause an issue when using the blinker? Needing something to tap into.
Yes. I would tap into something in the fuse box.
Can you cut the end of the strip to fix exact or would the break it?
You can cut but it's not recommended. The light would not be centered after cut.
Hey My Man how make a conection in a Charger Dodge 08 the batery is back
Is your fuse box in the back as well? If so, I would either extend the red wire to the back or just tap into the DRL or parking lights
@@AutoSensation i have fuse box back and front to
@Luis Acevedo try and look for an acc or cigarette fuse. Something that turns off when the engine is off and on when engine is on. Look in the front fuse box first. Easier wiring.
My headlights are ice blue don't know what color to get?
I like the white ones best
Hi i have a question, the multicolor app control led strip does has the dynamic start sequence also or is only the white one only?????
No. Only the white and blue one have dynamic start.
My car don’t have drl lights it just have normal fog lamps so can you please advice me how to Install it please
Sure. You can tap into a fuse in your fuse box. Look for a fuse that is on when the can is on and turns off when the car is off. Example your ign or acc or horn fuse. ruclips.net/video/6FOzY19TLbw/видео.html
Does it stay on after initial start up
Yes it does.
hey! it looks like you can’t close your hood all the way… is that true? or can you close it
I can close the hood all the way.
Will this work with a C300 MB - how to connect it to the fuse box...can you post a video? Thank you!
I wanna know the same
My Fuse for low beam headlight has 10 amp it should be fine if i hook up my red wire there, right?
Yes. That will be fine
I want to buy it but not sure which one. I like the white light most but I would also like to have the option to change the color of I want to, however I saw another review saying the colors on the multi color are weak especially the white. Is this true? What is the difference in brightness? I would really appreciate your assistance and response. Thank you
Yes.The white is not pure white. It's a combo of RGB to make white. Not bright. If your looking for brightness dynamic white would be the way to go.
Thank you
So basically it might look cheesy if I don't go with the Dynamic White? Lol
will they work on A 23 LIGHTNING??
Thanks for the great video. I just ordered this for my car.
On the seller's website they mentioned these can be wired into the turn signal. Any tips for that? Or would you recommend that not be done? I would assume you would need 2 separate strips, one for each signal, right? I am familiar with tape/rope lights and know how to solder lead wires onto them. Just looking for some advice. Thanks.
Also I noticed that you didn't show anything about trimming the end of the light strip. Usually most tape lights have designated points for cutting. Is that the same case here?
You can purchase turn signal ones. These are for your hood. Much longer. This is turn signal ones. m.silverholder.com/product/singlecolor/ref/23/
Does has to be wired to your head to get the sequential effect?
No. You van wire to any power source. However, sequential effect will happen on initial start. Example. If wired to your high beams. Sequential sequence will only happen once you turn your high beams on. Once you turn off the high beams the entire light unit will turn off.
I don't recommend sticking wires in your head. If you do, make sure a doctor is present
Also, on the product website, is there a difference between the dynamic white and static white in terms of how they look?
Dynamic white will have the scan feature. Static will not.
The load animation is same when car Goes off?
No. Just shuts off immediately
Theyr legal in Europe?
@@dot-li6wd Not sure about European Laws
Hello, I have one question, are this LED Strips allowed in Germany? The german TÜV is so strict here. 😉
I think this could look nice on my new Ford MK8. 🤔
Not sure the laws in Germany.
How do you find the DRL wire to tap into? And if I tap into DRL, will they work at night?
WD40. Removes all adhesive glue
@@AutoSensation goo gone works great to remove any residue
What fuse need to connect it?
Any acc fuse or ignition fuse would work.
