I really like the art in this game. It’s cool how the illustrations reflect the colors of the cards / abilities that they relate to

An interesting deckbuilding and negotiating game. I do have to say that the deckbuilding elements didn't really stand out. Which by no means means they were bad, just that there are so many excellent and innovative deckbuilders out there and this one is just serviceable. So its the negotiating that makes this stand out, and the thing is, I kind of think I'd almost prefer a pure negotiation game or something like Sidereal Confluence if I want that. Still, I'd like to try this out at least once. Sadly your usual style doesn't really work in showing off these kinds of heavy player interaction games, which is simply a given with your format. Good job on showing of this game well regardless.
Thanks for the video as always!

True. Like I just said in my comment that I posted just now, they'll trying to introduce something that looks like co-op into a completive setting, which doesn't work right now. I feel that if the game was instead as a co-op game with players working together, it might have been more interesting for me and maybe you as well.

There’s no playthrough as thorough and clear as yours. I never have to read rulebooks when I watch a tutorial from you. I do anyways, just to make sure I cover some detail that might have escaped, but still! xD
I’m really excited for the upcoming expansions for Moonrakers! Binding ties, with the reputation system, seem to be more rewarding and thus encouraging cooperation between players. I dig that.

Very interesting game. I love deckbuilding and seeing how it works with other mechanics. The negotiation aspect is super fun and gets everyone involved every turn

In my experience though, that negotiating element can also be terribly frustrating while making the game take forever to finish… I’m really digging into this expansion to see if it helps fix those issues…

After seeing the video, I'll leave my thoughts here:
    1. The game has great artwork. I loved the idea of a black background with simple pictures in front of it. More games should come out with artwork like this.
    2. For gameplay, I think the game could use a co-op campaign mode to go with it. I think the developers might have went too much into the idea of negotiations in the game, and it looks like they're trying to introduce co-op mode into a comparative game with needing to work with your opponents to complete harder contacts, but also making over 50% of the contacts hard enough that at least 2 people need to complete them would forced the person in the lead to hunt down an easy 1-prestige point contact in order to win or complete an objective, since the person winning at 8-9 prestige most likely won't get help from his opponents with getting to 10 prestige at that point.
Maybe if they changed it to a co-op game where X players have to get to X prestige in X rounds and/or completing X contacts including a very hard one that scales with its icons by player count, I think that would have gone better. Also seeing how they introduced a comic in the base game Kickstarter, they could have also made a campaign where in X scenarios, each player is playing as a faction seeking alliances from other factions, and they each are trying to seek prestige through various ways in the story. For gameplay of that, each player has their own starting deck, and with each scenario, all players must work together to complete an objective (complete X rescue missions in X rounds, etc.) In summary, a campaign game with a story and players negotiating and working together might have been better for Moonrakers.
That aside, that was a great tutorial, and I look forward for the next one.

This game really needs a legit solo automa, not a score chart win condition

Pretty sure you roll the hazard dice after you start trying to complete a mission, not before; otherwise, there would be no point in negotiating hazard dice.

At 5:25 I had already stated that I wasn't inviting any opponents to negotiate with me and had moved into the execution phase before any dice were rolled.

Nice tutorial as usual. Non binding negotiation where you can lie has to be the worst mechanism in board gaming. Me, I’d negotiate on the first turn to play something else.

      @Wylie288 Год назад

That's not a thing in this game though.
Also. Even if it was. You'd never be brought on again and would quickly fall behind because solo-ing missions off the base deck is difficult, and without allying, you won't be getting money to upgrade it.

You lose so often in these play throughs, so it’s sorta frustrating to end it so early when you’re actually doing well.
