@@Rotoscopers I mean this as nicely as I can, but the website review was constantly making comparisons to the original and trying to pass off complaints as critiques. (To put it bluntly...it was a little whiny and seems very contradictory to yours.) Whereas both you and your friend's perspective feels a lot more constructive. I don't know if I'm reading too heavily into things, of course but to me it seems that you two KNOW that the remake is its own retelling, and that they're going to do things its own way. I didn't get that from the written review.

Unfortunately haven’t seen it yet....planning on seeing it with my sister but life’s been making us a bit busy, but hoping to see it sooner than later!
I'm glad to hear that its a good film because I'm gonna watch it as well and I was pretty nervous but it alright.
I love the character development
I love the girl power
Jasmine and Aladdin relationship feels way more natural
Yes diversity
They fixed all the plot problems
Each character had a goal and purpose
I highly recommend reading the live action novelization

I’m so excited to see this movie! I haven’t liked any of the live actions, so i have high hopes for this one because it has more action in the storyline than most of the live actions. Other than Jungle Book and Maleficent, but i hated Maleficent 😂

Yes, I would say it would... mostly because the only ones I would watch again are Jungle Book and Cinderella.
