6:27 Potato and Rice!! Everyone says aaloo chaawal saath mein khaoge mote ho jaoge and you've just surprised me that they complement each other.. thanks for clearing this myth
Just surprised 😮 In West Bengal it's a tradition to pair ghee with lemon in hot rice and rice with potato Currys is our staple food only which is often criticized by other communities as potato &rice both are high in carbs . I never knew that these have such a nice nutritional value . Thank you so much 💓 .
Aaloo + rice combination actually surprised me! Aaloo and healthy! Many blame it to be fattening! While most of us cannot resist eating potatoes almost daily. Potatoes are thanos for most food lovers... Inevitable 👌
Absolutely! It never feels bad no matter what other sciency folks say. But as a thumb rule I try to consume aloo in boiled form only (chokha etc.). Fried aloo can lead to weight gain per ayurveda.
My husband who turned vegetarian recenty would really appreciate these combinations! Thank you for all the amazing value you put out. Love from Turkey 😊❤🙏
dairy is cruel watch deadly dairy 1. Cows/Buffalos produce milk for the same reason as humans do: to nourish their young. Thanks for the information packed video. I have a couple of questions.. 1. Should the Sprouts steamed little before consuming as I have heard that raw Sprouts are hard to digest? 2. Why dry dates.. Can we not use fresh dates?
1) Cucumber is always served as a salad before meals in most dhaba, resturant, wedding ceremonies and even homes 2) Never heard or tried the combination 3) I usually eat sprouts with finely diced tomato, onion, green chilli, fried and chopped green chilli, red chilli powder, salt, lemon juice and black pepper powder 4) What usually happens in our home is that we have a pet bunny, and out pet bunny eats the radish leaves... My bunny loves eating radish leaves, but not usually the radish 5) Never heard or tried combination, except in some recipes it's usually present, like chole kulche, lemon juice is mostly added in chole, and kulche are mostly greased with ghee or butter, in my case I like both, but here, a combination of ghee and lemon is present 6) Black gram + buttermilk, I have eaten it before, and I love it, well, buttermilk is mostly said to drink after meal of help digestion 7) I have eaten potato + rice, mostly chole-aalo with rice, did not love the combination but yeah, it was ok, and another combination is bhel puri, it mostly contains potato (street food), and puffed rice 8) My grandpa used to take dry dates with milk for weight gain 9) Never heard or tried the ginger and sugarcane juice combination 10) In most homes mango+milk combination is served as aam-ras, I hate to drink it because I'm lactose intolerant and just throw up everything I drink after a minute, so I usually avoid anything consisting milk solids 11) I love the combination, because it's delicious, not because it's healthy
A friend of mine has to spend three weeks in hospital and the diagnosis was H-Pilori that caused heavy bleeding. After 10 bottles of blood transfusion and 6 bottles of iron he returned home.Unfortunately his hemoglobin level is just adequate and require recouping at.east for 6 months as per GI specialist. This illness has deteoriated his kidney function further to ckd 5 (creatinine 4.6) and he is almost at the verge of dialysis which he is fighting to avoid with tight food control. He is also a type 2 diabetic for 25+ years but his a1c is under 6.1 . Being a person with strong will power fortified with strict diet and exercise, he brought his weight to 143 lbs (5' 11") and came out of diiabetic tablets . He is a pure vegetarian (no egg) , teetotaler - no alcohol , non smoker, posses regular exercised body. Before these diagonisis he used to love food , but now a days he is verymuch frustrated. His prime complaint is that no one is able, to suggest him vegetarian food combination that is delicious. Can you help him suggesting delicious vegetarian food combination?
I've heard in some of rajiv dixit videos that we should not mix acidic and alkaline foods together. So I would recommend mango+buttermilk instead of mango+milk. We should also try to avoid mango and banana milk shakes.

By the way , can you please make a video on "How to treat Rhinitis / Nasal Congestion"
It'll be very helpful for many people , including me 🙂
I struggled for an year with Severe Rhinitis, I tried soo many, nothing worked.
Just stopped eating carrots as I felt they triggered my problem.
That's it
with in a week no Rhinitis/ Congestion since 1 year.
please check any food that's triggering Rginitis.
Always boil vegetable, drain and eat
Thanks for the information packed video. I have a couple of questions..
1. Should the Sprouts steamed little before consuming as I have heard that raw Sprouts are hard to digest?
2. Why dry dates.. Can we not use fresh dates?
1) Cucumber is always served as a salad before meals in most dhaba, resturant, wedding ceremonies and even homes
2) Never heard or tried the combination
3) I usually eat sprouts with finely diced tomato, onion, green chilli, fried and chopped green chilli, red chilli powder, salt, lemon juice and black pepper powder
4) What usually happens in our home is that we have a pet bunny, and out pet bunny eats the radish leaves... My bunny loves eating radish leaves, but not usually the radish
5) Never heard or tried combination, except in some recipes it's usually present, like chole kulche, lemon juice is mostly added in chole, and kulche are mostly greased with ghee or butter, in my case I like both, but here, a combination of ghee and lemon is present
6) Black gram + buttermilk, I have eaten it before, and I love it, well, buttermilk is mostly said to drink after meal of help digestion
7) I have eaten potato + rice, mostly chole-aalo with rice, did not love the combination but yeah, it was ok, and another combination is bhel puri, it mostly contains potato (street food), and puffed rice
8) My grandpa used to take dry dates with milk for weight gain
9) Never heard or tried the ginger and sugarcane juice combination
10) In most homes mango+milk combination is served as aam-ras, I hate to drink it because I'm lactose intolerant and just throw up everything I drink after a minute, so I usually avoid anything consisting milk solids
11) I love the combination, because it's delicious, not because it's healthy
Try goat milk. My parents fed me since I was young due to intolerance to cow milk. I still use goat milk at 65 but I'm not Indian per s
Thank you Vivek. Simply love the way how you explain most diets with reference to the tridosha in the Ayurveda.
I've heard in some of rajiv dixit videos that we should not mix acidic and alkaline foods together. So I would recommend mango+buttermilk instead of mango+milk. We should also try to avoid mango and banana milk shakes.
Most of things were surprising for me , definitely gonna try this. You looks so thin you loose purposely?
To have you to the world is a blessings from god ❤
Yes of course part 2 is welcome 🙏 This video itself could've been made in 2 parts you covered so many combinations! Thanks for all the quality videos you make. Your effort clearly shows.
Dude, I love the way you enjoy your food.
Your meals look amazing too.
You are a real mentor to all of us. Keep up the good work
Hi Vivek. I think you should make a cook book following Ayurvedic guidelines. So the meals can be used to get healthier and lose weight. Thanks.
Aap jaisa koi nahi is duniya may
