Mascagni Intermezzo Piano Remix Relaxing Instrumental Arrangement Cavalleria Rusticana Reimagined!

Mascagni Intermezzo Piano Remix is my instrumental arrangement of this relaxing piece from Pietro Mascagni's opera "Cavalleria Rusticana". This opera from 1890 is based on a short story melodrama set in a Sicilian village about love and begins with Tiriddu returning from military service finds that his love already married. The opera was written to enter a competition for a one act opera by a music publisher Sonzogno in Milan. The intermezzo is played in a setting of a square outside of a church. This piece is a most well loved of Mascagni's and has elements of tenderness, love and passion. Here in this reimagination I have explored more modern and experimental harmonies. Enjoy!
