If you have sides, it can be that your body is adapting, many people get frightened and stop. With oral minox, its prudent to take precautions, in order to prevent some sides, like water tablets to prevent swelling. Under low dose most of the sides subside
I’ve been taking 2.5mg for just over a week and I have just began to have a slightly tight chest on the left side it’s more prominent when I lay down. Should I continue using and hope this goes away?
@@MrRolandas I’m assuming it’s the minoxidil as that’s the only thing that has changed in my life and I’ve never experienced chest pains before. I might reduce the dose to 1.25mg daily and if it doesn’t go away I’ll go back to topical
I also plan to start taking it after my surgery. Too bad loniten is not available here so I'll be measuring my dose of liquid minoxidil with an insulin syringe.
@@MrRolandas I know, but it’s not available in tablet form at all including generic brands. Even on black market! So I’m not that worried about it. The only issue is to measure the exact amount for a proper dose.

Hypotension is potentially fatal. Even moderate forms of low blood pressure can cause dizziness, weakness, fainting and a risk of injury from falls. And severely low blood pressure can deprive your body of enough oxygen to carry out its functions, leading to damage to your heart and brain. Be aware and start on a low dose!

Yes it works on the whole body. I have almost no beard, but whatever is there got slightly thicker and grows a bit faster too. If you don't have hair follicles under the skin on your beard, it won't magically create them, but a lot of people have them very weak to the point they're invisible, so minoxidil can help to bring them to thick terminal hair.

Yes i considered. PRP is a huge hit or miss. PRP isn't created equal in different places, there has to be certain concentration of platelets to be effective and it's different in every individual. It's costly. It's inconvenient. It would be difficult to keep up with it in a long term (get the shots once in 3 or so months). It CAN be great. I've seen good turnarounds. It gives boost to miniaturised hair, much like minoxidil, but not as effcatious. Finasteride & Minoxidil are "gold standard" for a reason. Easy, safe & effective.
Hi, I like you and I like your channel, but I do not understand your logic in taking oral minoxidil. Oral minoxidil is an extreme measure for extreme regrowth. If you had started taking it before your hair transplants then it would make sense, but now after two of them, from what I can tell, almost all of your recipient zone is transplanted, so what's the point? Conventional treatments like finasteride and topical minoxidil may be enough for you to preserve the few remaining native hairs on top, and the temple points and sides.

At best you will grow hair elsewhere and need to get laser or trim it eventually.

I'm not much familiar with Cialis, so would definitely advise to speak to your GP about it. Doesn't sound like a good idea to mix them both to be honest as you might drop your blood pressure too much.
It's Bruce Willis 😂. Great vid, been waiting for an in depth video on this.
I didn't cover everything of course as it's broad topic, but if you get any nore questions feel free to ask!
@@MrRolandas I've been thinking about taking this for a while. Glad you're being a bit of a Guinea pig for it lol. How do you know if it's the oral minoxidil that's working and not just your 2nd transplant if you start to see results?, wouldn't it have been better to try if before your 2nd hair transplant?.
@@joeservice1968 Mid mid crown hasn't been touched by surgery and temple points had very few grafts transplanted. I know where to look for :D

@@MrRolandas Oh I thought you'd done your midscalp, should have watched those vids lol. I'll be keeping a close eye on your updates on oral minoxidil. Thanks for all your work 👍.
Mid Crown 👑 Only very top of the crown has been touched with surgery.
Can i administer a low dose of oral minoxidil at 2.5 mg or lower with 1 mL of topical minoxidil daily ?
You can, but it's more than likely topical minoxidil won't do anything as Oral is more powerful
I really appreciate your feedback
Yea I really didn’t know if adding my topical I have mixed with Tretinoin would be an additional dosage to the oral dosage adding more to it or if it would be harmful
In the uk its very easy to get it, with online hairloss companies
I’m only a minute into this video and thinking, “why even risk your health for oral minoxidil if you are doing hair transplants anyway?” I mean I hope you are on finasteride, but I haven’t seen your other videos. Anyway, I just feel that oral minoxidil should only be done if you are trying your best to build density before giving into surgery. Otherwise, what’s the point? 🤷♂️
I'm on finasteride 1mg/day for 2 years now.
Transplants aren't magic. We have limited amount of hairs to be moved. My case is severe, I don't have enough hair in donor to cover whole top with appropriate density, so I need to strengthen what I have (crown and a bit of mid scalp).
Where do you buy oral minoxidil?

Hi buddy grettings from Madrid, I've a question with you or anyone there using OM: I will start with 2.5mg and I now for 1-2 months I will have the infamous shedding and then when my body is suit it I am planning to use 5mg...I will have again shedding for increase the dosage or is the same?? Obrigado.
Yes, you can have one more shedding after increasing dose. Not likely, but possible
@@MrRolandas So the increase dose should during the shedding with the first dosage you using or after the shedding?? Thanks buddy
Doesn't matter. Find dose that works for you without side effects to
If you have sides, it can be that your body is adapting, many people get frightened and stop. With oral minox, its prudent to take precautions, in order to prevent some sides, like water tablets to prevent swelling. Under low dose most of the sides subside
Agreed. It takes time for body to adjust. We shall see how it goes though
I’ve been taking 2.5mg for just over a week and I have just began to have a slightly tight chest on the left side it’s more prominent when I lay down. Should I continue using and hope this goes away?
You think it's due to minoxidil? Worth staying another week or so and see if it will go away.
Alternatively worth seeing your doctor to check up.
@@MrRolandas I’m assuming it’s the minoxidil as that’s the only thing that has changed in my life and I’ve never experienced chest pains before. I might reduce the dose to 1.25mg daily and if it doesn’t go away I’ll go back to topical
Does it happen when you normally breath or very deeply?
Anyone know where I can get prescribed oral minoxidil?
I also plan to start taking it after my surgery. Too bad loniten is not available here so I'll be measuring my dose of liquid minoxidil with an insulin syringe.
I'd be wary of drinking liquid minoxidil. It has other additives to it.
It doesn't have to be Loniten. You could find generic brand of oral minoxidil.
@@MrRolandas I know, but it’s not available in tablet form at all including generic brands. Even on black market! And if I order it online from abroad Putin’s watchdogs will confiscate it at the border. Sigh. As for the other ingredients of liquid minoxidil - it’s a very tiny amount of alcohol (will be one or two drops) along with propylene glycol which is completely inert and nontoxic, goes through intestines without absorption. So I’m not that worried about it. The only issue is to measure the exact amount for a proper dose.
@@SergeyTheBold Well best of luck then. Please do let me know how you're doing on it.

No idea mate, sorry
Thank you!

Thanks for that. I am of course starting on a low dose (1.25mg/day) and checking my blood pressure every day multiple times a day to see how I will respond.
Its literally prescribed for high blood pressure plus uk health service recommend it for hairloss
Will oral help with beard?
Yes it works on the whole body.
I have almost no beard, but whatever is there got slightly thicker and grows a bit faster too.
If you don't have hair follicles under the skin on your beard, it won't magically create them, but a lot of people have them very weak to the point they're invisible, so minoxidil can help to bring them to thick terminal hair.
U can always drink the topical at small amounts 😎

Have you considered prp? How would you rate that compared to fin or minoxidil?
Yes i considered. PRP is a huge hit or miss. PRP isn't created equal in different places, there has to be certain concentration of platelets to be effective and it's different in every individual.
It's costly.
It's inconvenient.
It would be difficult to keep up with it in a long term (get the shots once in 3 or so months).
It CAN be great. I've seen good turnarounds. It gives boost to miniaturised hair, much like minoxidil, but not as effcatious.
Finasteride & Minoxidil are "gold standard" for a reason. Easy, safe & effective.

Do you have mail or insta?
Email these doctors in your area and ask if they prescribe it. Don't go for consultations, don't pay money. Find out before paying if they can
Hi, I like you and I like your channel, but I do not understand your logic in taking oral minoxidil.
Will answer this question on my today's video :)
I've been on 2.5mg tabs of loniten for the past 6 months now. I have thinning mostly around my crown. I've had zero side effects but zero results as well so far. The Dr told me I could be waiting for as long as a year before it kicks in. But the side effects of this drug is so ridiculously over stated. At best you will grow hair elsewhere and need to get laser or trim it eventually.
Thanks for sharing! I hope you get some results mate. Don't forget even you don't see drastic changes, it still prolongs anagen phase which is always a good thing battling mpb
Lower leg oedema isn’t fun... I got this from miscalculating how much foam I could eat, as I can’t get hold of Loniten 🤣
N.B. Some individuals get nasty heart-related side effects... but of course - this will be far more prevalent in higher oral doses

Any idea where I can get a prescription for oral minoxidil in the US?
oral minoxidil raises heart rate on average from 3-5 beats per minute even at low doses. for some, even more. mine went from 60-77 to 80-93. not worth it! heart health>hair health. 3-5 bmp for the rest of your life is SIGNIFICANT
You're right, it did raise my resting heart rate (I think). It used to be 45-55, now it's 50-60
