I love that everyone thought they lost and Natsu was like nah uh uh. Him pushing Gajeel out the match to personally 2v1 them. The disrespect was amazing
A lot of people call tbis fight bs but there was already a lot of early signs that Natsu was way stronger than sting and rogue. The biggest one being when Natsu one shotted that ninja guy who apparently was strong enough to participate in the gmg.
Isn't their motion sickness also tied with their strength, the stronger they are the more they suffer and natsu has been shown to suffer from it more than probably all dragon slayers combined 😂😂😂😂😂
it was lit and honestly majority of fairy tail battles are....but why they gotta throw in "the power of friendship" literally every time. just let the battle play out lol. at some points its like, we dont need that much monologue about the same shit over and over again. thats one of my biggest peeves about the show was how they blatantly keep bringing up the power of friendship when Natsu clearly outclasses both of them regardless of what they did to Lucy.
@@wymg4480 honestly fair assessment, I wished they brought up their friends less as well but i just don't like when people say he won cause of friendship. Cause like you said, he already outclassed them from the jump.

The fact that the manga ended 7 years ago and fairytail will finally return in July which is the 7th month, at this point I’m convinced that mashima loves the number 7 😂😂. Anyways hype for some more fairytail!!!
15:00 Two reasons actually. One is because in the manga she was watching through a lacrima. Same way Ultear was watching the matches. Hence why Lucy did before the unison raid with Juvia, Erza during the fight with Azuma, and like 3 more instances. That's part of the power system same with emotions which explains what Mavis was talking about (which she learned from her teacher). Strong emotions give people a power boost like Juvia vs Gray or Natsu vs Erigor. Same thing happened to Sting when he thought Lector died. What Erza said about Natsu getting stronger based on his opponents isn't in the power system. She's just yappin.

Why is the tournament such a big deal? Fairy Tail was always the happy-go-lucky guild that never cared to much about how others viewed them. That is, until after the time-skip were they entered a magic tournament to restore their reputation, a tournament apparently important enough to break down in tears over. I can see a practical justification for this, in that a guild with poor reputation might have problems getting jobs, but qualifying for the tournament (with two teams, none the less) should be enough to get back on the market. Especially odd in Lucys match against the dirty-fighting Corona. A normal person would just say "Jeez, I give up. It's just a damn competition, let's not hold children hostage." Fairy Tail has always had a competitive attitude. Members like Natsu, Gray, Gajeel, even Erza sometimes, have always been enthusiastic to fighting one and other. Wasn't this adressed by Sting in the Chariot event? Natsu claimed it was for his friends or something. Makarov says at the very beginning that he wanted the prize money to buy the original guild out of foreclosure. And in Lucy case, she did try to surrender, but Corona wanted to make her suffer some more.

I personally feel like this fight would've been 10 times better if Sting did win at that moment, it's kinda boring that every fight has the same results (at least when they're relevant enough) Natsu gets up and beats his opponent, we've seen that shit 100 times already
Take away the context and isn't that every anime fight? Kinda feels like you're reaching when you can't even get specific. Name an mc who doesn't start loosing then makes a comeback every single arc? Not to discredit what you said tho but they've been embarrassed the entire arc. This sets up Stings rage moment also.
Given that we know how about Natsu, Sting, the Fairy Tail guild and why they’re competing in the first place, and what Sabertooth did to Lucy and Yukino, why should Sting lose?
@@delanireid Eren, Saber, Tatsumi, Subaru, Edward, Guts, Meliodas... And many more. Take Eren as an example, he initially lost against Annie in a 1v1, then fought Reiner and started losing but as it seemed he was going to end up taking the W but he lost again, then he got his first win against him, then after the timeskip consistently defeated him. Because fights in AoT and in many other shows take into consideration which character is stronger and the narrative and that's it, it doesn't have that necessity of having the MC overcome everything every damn time. I genuinely don't want to sound rude with this but saying that's the case for "every" anime means that you or most people have only watched animes like One Piece, Fairy Tail, Naruto all of those that have boring and predictable outcomes and cliches at every arc, I just personally feel it's a waste of potential because it completely removes the "I don't know who's going to win" aspect which should be the entire point of a fight, not knowing who's gonna come out on top.
