- Work from home tips, working from home routines and home office is what I share in this video. The corona virus and reality has struck and I’m now working part time from my apartment at Södermalm in Stockholm. Working from home situation is tricker than I thought. In this video are some tips and tricks that I’ve learned along the way.
Moshi is sponsoring a portion of the video. The headphones are the Moshi Avanti Air Bluetooth. They received the reddot design, are ergonomic and comfortable and the fact that they’re wireless is just the best. Thank you Moshi!

I just love the kitty cameo appearances!
You make me so happy. I was in Sweden last summer and I loved the country, the ways, the peace. Your videos are medicine. I watch them every evening before reading. Thank you so much.
I was feeling a tad glum today, but all is well in the world now. Amazing how a short clip from Benita raises one's spirits. Thanks so much xx
Aww, you’re the sweetest!
Previous month I was able to receive my first five figure wage ever!!! I've been working for this company on-line for 24 months now and I never been happier... They are paying me $95 per hour, and the most important thing regarding it is that I am not really that tech-savvy, they just asked for standard understanding of internet and elementary typing skill...Awesome thing about it is the more time I got to spend with my family. I am in a position to spend quality time with my friends and family and take care of my children and also going on holiday break together with them very often. Don't skip this opportunity and make sure to react rapidly. Check it out, what it is about... *grab26.com*
I crossed the 10 week mark with my entire family home. We just found out today that the kids will not be returning to school this year; they are supposed to be in school until end of June here.
I have worked from home for many years, but doing it with 4 kids and my husband around has caused me to change where and how I work in our home. This video included some great reminders for me.
I can’t even imagine working from home and having the whole family there too doing it! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Each time I watch your videos, I´m motivated to make my house tidier and cleaner. This time, it was my desk! Thank you Benita for the inspiration :-)
I’m so happy you’re finding it inspiring!
Feeling ready to take on the world after watching this. Fantastic as always Benita!
So happy you enjoyed it!
Go Benita! Dear Swedish friend out there👍 I love how you encouraged me to declutter my house from all the way from Sweden. Keep posting and yes I agree with other comments saying that I find peace watching you. Thank you❤️🌟 Love and peace from San Francisco.
I absolutely LOVE how authentic and honest you are!!! Not pretending you are somehow better than all the rest of us! You are one if us and you just found a way to share your experience with others in an organized and pleasing fashion! It was such a pleasure to watch! Thank you. Subscribing.
I’m so happy you enjoyed it! And yes, I’m just a regular person like you!
I really enjoy watching your videos, also listening to you. I find your voice so soothing, could listen to you all day. Really calms me down when I’m feeling anxious in these difficult times x
Thank you, I’m so happy I can be of help!
Re: standing desks vs sitting desks -- I have the opposite problem! At the office I'm stuck sitting, so I make sure to get up and move every hour or so. At home, my desk is made for standing, as it is actually one of my husband's old woodworking benches that he made, and I got a glass desk top for it from a friend. A standing mat really helps at home, and I have a comfy bar stool for when I want to sit for a bit.
My usual work week is supposed to be 2 days at the office and 3 days at home, but since March 11 I have been working from home along with my husband and our son is also there because daycares are closed where we live. Good headphones are an absolute must, as is remembering to stay muted on Zoom meetings lol We take a walk at lunch time with our son and the dog, which helps tire him out for his afternoon nap and helps us stay sane.
Working from home takes a bit of working out, doesn’t it?
It is good we can be focused and get more work done 🌻
This was another wonderful video. Like you, I stand at the office -- unless I am in a meeting. Thankfully, my husband and I bought an adjustable table in 2015, and we use it as a standing desk. Because he is much taller than I am, he bought a monitor riser and a keyboard riser to adjust the heights to suit him.
I live in the southwestern portion of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and while businesses are slowly opening, I do not know when my company will call us back to the office. They are pleased, as productivity has dramatically increased since we were mandated to work from home!
As you said, no one can clap their hands about the good changes that will come from the pandemic, yet, it is interesting to see more conservative companies forced to reckon with the research that shows increased productivity and engagement amongst workers who have more flexibility and are able to work from home.
Stay safe. Stay sane.
I know! That aspect is so interesting!
Your videos are really enjoyable and I always feel inspired to improve things around the house. I would like to see how you organise the paperwork in your life. Even though we try to do everything online, there are still invoices, tax papers, receipts etc that hang around on the kitchen bench until they can be filed away in the garage. I would dearly love to shred it all but of course that's not practical!
Thanks, it’s on my list of video ideas!
I am working on down sizing and following you has been very helpful. I am off to clean a closet!
Another great one. Again, you demonstrate good and simple so well, while acknowledging the times right now are anything but!❤️
Aww, thank you so much!😊
exercising and moving your body is so important! i make sure to do this and stretch as well. great tips!
Stretching is a must for sure! Just need to set that timer! :)
I love that you incorporate walking every day and walking to work. Being outside is so important at my age and it feels I never have enough of it so I’m happy to hear that you do the same. I don’t work from home so I’m on vacation let’s say. My part of USA is slowly opening up. As of right now I spend most of my time with my family and in the garden. I’m sure your cats are happy to have you home longer. Great point about wearing pijamas or workout outfits all day. Just like you I try to look presentable, it makes ME feel better. Thank you for great video! Stay safe!
Exactly, it makes me feel better too!
Watching your vlog makes me want to live a clean minimalist lifestyle. You inspire me. You have one of the coolest headset. It is about S$800+ in Singapore. I always watch your videos to de stress me :)
I’m so happy you enjoy my videos!
Thank you for the tips. We have been in place and working remotely for 9 weeks. Refreshing. ☘️🌿🌷
Nine weeks is a long time! Fingers crossed it’ll ease up soon!
Benita, thank you for yet another wonderful video! You always share very useful tips, the voice over is calm but interesting, perfect to watch even on loop while doing things around the house!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Benita, I'm glad that you are able to stay safe at home yet still work. My husband has been working from home; about 2 weeks in he started to have neck and shoulder problems, because of the desk and chair here ... and also because he hadn't been taking regular breaks! He has changed things around and it's going well, but luckily he may be able to go back to the office part time in early June. I do some occasional freelance editing and translating, but I've had next to nothing recently, so I'm spring cleaning, exercising and watching my favourite You Tubers. And I don't mind having lunch with my husband every day! Take care xx
Happy to hear that your husband was able to work out better solutions! Working from home is hard!
another nice soothing episode! and i'm grateful that watching this episode gave me the time for a stretch and a much needed break.
I’m so happy to give you a little break! 😊
I've been a minimalist for a few years now but my Mum definietelly embraced it more after watching your videos. We both enjoy them a lot! I'm currently helping my Mum to remodel and redecorate her apartment to make it more like "Benita's" :) Please keep on making the videos!
Aww, I love that!😊
Thank you for your insperation Benita,i love your videos.Thank you so much
I’m so happy you enjoy them!
I also miss the ergonomics, so when my office offered to work 3 days/week with all secure-social distance provided I jumped in. It was last week and I don’t feel pain in my back anymore. If one day I need to work from home for long time I will buy a proper chair. Instead of spend money I will add more health to my body! Love your videos!! Thank you for sharing!! Tack så mycket!
I totally get that! Thanks for watching!
I love watching your videos as I have my breakfast. It's a great way to start the day. Thank you, Benita! :-)
Thank you so much for watching!
Hi Benita! I enjoyed learning tips about working from home. Walking in the morning before you begin working to replace your walk to work is brilliant! Also, setting that timer for 55 minutes of work and 5 minutes of stretching is so important as we can often forget to move our bodies when we're immersed in our work. All great tips, thank you! p.s. LOVE your pleather leggings - chic yet comfy!
Cheers, Enza
Thank you so much for watching, Enza!
Great to hear from you Benita & to know that you are well! Here in the United States we are kinda coming out of intense lock down.... Many stores are still closed but we are required to wear masks in stores they are open. I’m home with my kitties as well & they love it as I’m sure your kitties do too!! Keep in touch & we love hearing from you!! Great ideas while working at home!! Stay safe!! 💗💗
Stay safe you as well!🌸
Thank you for sharing! Always such a boost to my day😊 Decor goals!
Aww, thank you so much!
For our daily team catch-up I sit on the floor and rotate between crossed legged, lotus and straight legged. I find it helps to keep me stretched and gives a change of scenery.
Sound like a great solution!
I'm going to be WFH soon and I'm rewatching as many of these as I can because I know between my cat and all of my snacks and things I like to look at and play with in my room (I share a house with other people so I will work in my bedroom) I will be extremely distracted.
I absolutely love watching your videos. I was lucky enough to visit Sweden last summer, and watching your videos helps me remember how much I love Scandinavian style.
I’m so happy that you are enjoying them!
These are all great tips. Your videos are so well done and such a comfort.
Thank you! I’m so glad you find comfort in them.
Thank you, Benita. Another excelent video.
So glad you like it!
Boom-boom always gets a thumbs up from me! ;)
Very good tips!!!
Loved the video and tips 👍 and the minimalist lifestyle!! Iam new to your channel. Looking forward for future videos. Best wishes! Stay safe!
So glad you’re enjoying my content!
I live your vids Benitta. Thank you so much fir sharing your thoughts and life with us. Is there another cat vid in the pipeline? X
Not a dedicated one but Mini and Bonus are making appearances in the next one 😊
Great video! When I worked on the computer all day, I found that a jell filled wrist rest was most helpful
Yes, those are great!
God dag, Benita !
That wonderful salad...Hummmmmmmm !!!!!👌😉👍
Try to use cooked apple instead of potatoe ! It is a good alternative !
Tack som fran Portugal ! Muito obrigado de Portugal !
🌹❤
I do enjoy your channel, thank you for having it!!! hugs, Judie
Thank you so much!😊
Another great video with useful ideas. I really enjoy your channel. Thank you!
I’m so glad you like it!
I adore stockholm, my daughter had followed at master at the University and I came up to see her. You embody the perfect nordic life style that I aim to. Thank you for letting me dream about it. P.S. I love Ludovico Einaudi music too.
Stockholm really is a beautiful place to visit and live in!
Lovely video as always
Thank you so much!😊
Eunaudi’s music is the best for work and write sessions! 🤘
So good, right?!
I have similar body aches as you. As a former designer I use to suffer from RSI and started using a Wacom tablet. Never looked back. After a back injury I got a standing desk. I used to stand for 10+ hours (work and home) until the health and safety assessor told me that you have to both sit and stand. By constantly standing, you’re shifting problems from your back onto your knees and ankles.
Yes, I know! In my case it’s a matter of picking where I want the pain and where my muscles are the strongest so I still prefer standing. 😊
Informative video, especially mouse using, thanks
Happy to hear you enjoyed it!
I guess I'm "advanced" because I use the mouse with my left hand and I'm right handed!! I developed severe carpal tunnel from an office job about ten years ago and I'm still using my left hand today. I got used to it really quickly and now it is no problem!
You ARE advanced! 🙌🏻 I’ve tried it but found it quite confusing! I can paint with both hands though. It’s what you get from being too lazy to climb down the ladder to move it 😬
I have IBS and found out also SIBO. Have you tried not eating grains and fibre? I hate to sound like the internet person who knows it all but I found getting rid of those has helped ALOT. My diet quite boring now but such a relief physically and feel better in other ways too.
Yes, I skip certain fibers and grains as well as peas, beans and onions and their like.
You should definitely make more videos.. I really enjoy watching them
I have a day job which is why I can only manage a video every two weeks.
Thank you for a lovely informative video as always . Your lunch looked delicious 🙏🏻❤️
Those little new potatos are so good 😊
Yes let’s hope this is not long. Stay well.
Fingers crossed the worst is over and it will turn around!🤞🏻
I love your channel so much. Your videos are so calming to watch. Thank you and greetings vom germany :)
So happy you're enjoying them!
Goods tips. The flowers are so pretty.
Thank you! Yes, it’s a pretty walk!
Wow Benita ..I started following you when you had a few hundred subs .,you’ve nearly reached 55000 !! Yay
I love your videos and this one was excellent ..as usual
It’s taking off my little channel! 😊
Those tulips are beautiful 🌷
Einaudi is the best for listening to while working!
I discovered him in a music when studying playlist and was floored!🙌🏻
Your videos are always very helpful. Thank you.
Thank you so much for watching!
Thank you turning me on to Einaudi! So relaxing.
So beautiful! And funnily enough I heard his music style is minimalist. No wonder I’m into it 😀
Hello!!! greetings from South Korea ~ I'm a big fan of your video. This is the first time to leave a message. Plz keep uploading your beautiful and peaceful video. Don't forget you have a fan in South Korea far away. see u ~
Aww, thank you so much!😊
Getting up and moving around you can get glum sitting for hours. Also walking first thing seems nice.
Yes, try that if you can!
That specific ludovico einauldi video is beautiful isn't it? Thank you for the much needed work break ;)
His work is amazing! Take care!
My two cats love having me at home every day, but they think I’m home so that they can have naps on my lap and give them treats on demand. 😻
Haha, yes, that happens a lot here too!🦁🐯
Great video, Benita! Stay safe. 💓
So glad you enjoyed it!😊
Great tips. I am going to walk tomorrow morning before logging on to work!
I’m so happy you find them useful!
@@BenitaLarsson Did a walk this morning and feeling VERY good!
Self care is always so important. tfs 💗
Thank you so much for watching!
Loved your video, as always!
I’m so happy you did!
Great ideas. Thank you!
I’m so glad you like it!
Great video Benita,Felix from Switzerland
So happy you enjoyed it!
What is the artist you mention that you discovered and listen to while working? Thank you for these helpful tips!
Ludovicio Einaudi!
Olá ! Obrigado pelos teus excelentes Videos. Adoro!!!!!.
I’m so glad you like them!
i see you switched your light sockets to white instead of off-white like you wanted. :) Love your Sagitarius mug too. xoxo
I spray painted them!
Funny I was convinced you were an Aries ♈️
Great tips! Thank you. :)
Thank you so much for watching!😀
Love your channel ❤️💖!!!
That makes me a very happy camper!😊
Oh, could you make a video with some summer life in Stockholm.... Just for all us quarantine-folks....
I’ll add it to my list of requests, thank you!
Your videos always brighten my day. Thank you!
I’m so happy to hear that!
In a previous video you did a tour of your bathroom, would you share where you got your glorious looking bath towels?
They’re from a local Swedish company called Granit. Look for “waffle weave”!
Benita Larsson thanks!
Another awesome video! If you don't mind me asking...where did you get the fork you were using to eat your salad? I have never seen one like it and I would like to have one or two. 😊. Stay safe and healthy!
It’s called Nobel by Gense. It’s the official silverware for the Nobel festivities. My set is in steel but I think the real deal is in silver.www.google.se/search?q=nobel+table+setting&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=sv-se&client=safari#imgdii=0jST9CFR91iWyM:&imgrc=wJGG_rlUtclL8M:
Thank you❤
Life, i love
Very helpful ❤️
I’m so happy you found it useful!
May I suggest another alternative for sitting at computer desk? The balance/exercise balls are pretty good at keeping good posture and making you slightly move constantly while working. I've head a couple myself until my cat accidentally ruined both of them :))
We have all kinds of options including balancing balls and balancing stools at work. I’ve tried everything and standing on a gel mat is still my preferred 😀
@@BenitaLarsson your workplace really cares for your workers, that's awesome!
interested on your eatimg habits for your ibs, bc i have it too, still struggling with what to eat though, of course everyone is different but just interested to see what other ibs person tries 😅😘
I explain a bit in this video ruclips.net/video/dmfyR0aHqYg/видео.html
stay safe too x
Thank you so much for watching!
@@BenitaLarsson i love your videos and am already looking forward to the next one
Concerning music I recommend to check out: *Ólafur Arnalds*
Thank you so much!
I've been meaning to ask you about stay-at-home measures there because all we are hearing is that you guys are just left to use your own common sense but that your death toll is much higher than neighboring countries. Glad to hear you have the option to work at home some and are taking advantage of it! I'm a math teacher and I stand and walk around all day long too. I don't have anything high enough here at home to act as a standing desk and, boy, my back and hips are hating it! I try to move from spot to spot also but without a good way to stand and move around like I normally do it is not ideal. 🥴👩🏫
It’s hard on the body for sure! Take care!
@Norris Math. I use my ironing board as a desk.
Dear B, have you ever considered making a video speaking Swedish, with English subtitles? It would be soo nice to hear it!
I haven’t but at a fun idea! Not sure if execute it but thanks for the suggestion!
Loved🌸❤️🙏🏻
I’m so happy you enjoyed it!
Keep safe.
Thank you, and you as well!
У вас комфорт ! Это хорошо . А я , живу в стрессе .
Hej Benita! Undrar varifrån ditt fina, vita vitrinskåp kommer från, med de ”utsågade” handtagen? 🌟
Asplund!
Benita, one thing i was always curious about: how popular are Apple computers in Sweden / Scandinavia? Are there any reasons Europeans prefer them over Windows machines?
Maybe you follow creatives online, we prefer Mac from the creator aspect. I don’t think it’s a Swedish or Scandinavian thing.
Hi, can you show your sofa in living room, please. How does it made? . Is it handmade?
There’s a video on my channel “livingroom tour” where I show it in more detail!
Have you heard the soundtrack for "The Intouchables"? You may love it (one of my favorite movies as well :) )
I don’t think I have, not a big music or movie person though 😊
Hi Could you share the name of his album?
I can’t remember but look up Ludovicio Innaudi and you’ll find his work.
Benita you are so sweet. Wear
Corporate clothes on tops and
you can get away with slippers
on your feet. Imagine if you went
like that to the office 😃😃😃
All these norms of society. Glad
I retired two years back. Yet I
still dress casual smart. But
avoid the white / grey / black
of the working world. Not that
I was ever a fulltime Corporate
worker. Enjoyed this channel
All the best dear Benita.
Yes, the slippers are definitely a work from home perk ! :)
@@BenitaLarsson They are great
slippers. Also popular here in
Switzerland. I do not wear them
but just walk around in socks.
In fact, our winter heating is too
warm for my liking. But am not
a person who feels the cold. I
Usually keep the bathroom
heater on and one other in my
studio apartment. That is warm
enough for me. Kind greetings
from Zurich.
I also love Einaudi, but Sophie disgraced me by falling asleep at his concert when we were seated right behind his piano. 😬
You’ve seen him live!🙌🏻 And Sophie 😂 But I get it, the music is so relaxing!
I love your slippers where did you find them?
They’re a local brand, Ulle, but linked very similar ones in the description box
Benita Larsson Thank you!
Yes .... i also realize i have no interest in doing business .... 🤣😂🤣😂
I use a trackpad with my iMac.
I find it hard to use for some of my tasks but it’s a great option!
