This is in SD!. Back in the 80's, my brother had a 71 Nova. I was driving it when I was rear ended out in east El Cajon. Caved in the trunk and back bumper. Had to remove the bumper to get to the gas filler. Cops didn't like the bumper not there so we welded an I-beam across the back. At that point I painted in black across the back "Road Warrior". Car was a legend.

Back several years ago I had a 77' Hatchback. I pulled the old
305---dropped a showroom 350---275 HP in its place. I bomb-
cannef it CHERRY RED. I hand--lettered the words, "RUFF' CUT"
on the rear quarter panel. I raised and 'Beefed' the suspension
front and back ( Equally). I eventually pulled the entire rear-
end---including leaf springs. A neighbor just happened to
have a 3.26 Pontiac complete rear set-up...Axels and ALL.
    I installed a "Tranni-kit," new, fresh tranni fluid and...WHAM!
What a difference. Ruff Cut was a daily driver. I got a LOT
    of looks and comments.

Four Speed, growing up with old cars we remember the sounds, like how the door closes, the boing of the springs as the bench seat is set back and how short first gear is and the long wind up through third. I think it’d be worth the effort to mic the car and put these sounds into the clip. Many cars can be identified just by the sounds and they’re cool sounds.

I dig the effort a cat puts into making a show car shiny...but i would also love a yard full of cars like this! My latest isn't even my build....I was searching for parts for my Fox body three years ago, when I stumbled over a 1968 4-4-2 in the snow belt...455 with variable duration lifters, the manual valve body THM400 has a switch pitch torque converter so i can pull away in top gear and get 15 mpg or switch from 1900 rpm stall speed to 3300 and do 0-60 in five and a half seconds...all for $4500! The owner was going electric, and the two buyers before me were idiots, so I got her. And she shows her 243,000 miles, what others like to call a barn find, with her rust (but nothing in the frame or pans, and she came with studded snow tires!) and patina'd chrome and bent bumpers.
When she wants to run (the little fact no car magazine admits in their articles), I can drive and park her anyplace, no worries about scratches. Its like 1976 all over again, just without the leaded gas.

That is one beautiful sweaty treasure. You've done well preserving it. I prefer nova by choice over everything. 57 chevy, distant 2nd.

I love the look of the car, people think it complete junk but, you look under the hood and VOILA surprise!!!!!!!
Im curious does it cost a lot to build a simular style?

I’m a new sub and you’ve got a great channel ... solid editing and balance between engine sounds and music soundtrack . I’ve never been a shiny paint “Armour All” guy .... I like my cars raw looking and sinister ... the attitude speaks volumes.

My Nova says (W) in the V.I.N. and that stands for Willow Run, Michigan, built small block 327, bored 20-over, aluminum high rise intake, 750 CFM carb, MSD distributor, and MSD multi spark box, stainless steel headers, steel flywheel, 11 in heavy duty clutch, m-21 Muncie 4-speed, 12-bolt posi track rear end with 4:11 gears, traction bars, my point is it says Willow Run, Michigan but some parts say made in Canada

Didn't notice the Purple Hornies sticker on my first watch. I'd assume that's what it's running for exhaust? Glasspacks are the best
