- This is a taste test/review of the Marketside (Walmart brand) Caesar Bacon Chopped Salad Kit. It has Romaine lettuce, croutons, shredded Parmesan, cheese and bacon with a Caesar dressing. It was $3.98 at Walmart.

Tami as a suggestion as what I do w the bacon..I put it on a napkin folded (no mess) and microwave it a bit. It cooks the bacon and the bacon flavor taste great.

Buy Armor microwave bacon, it only takes about 2 minutes and is in a bag that you just toss into the microwave with the paper inside on the bottom. Then just crumble it and toss it in the Caesar salad that you like. No mess and no plates or paper towels needed and it is good. I use it for BLT sandwiches. There are four strips in a bag and depending on the size of the box dictates how many bags you get. I get the one with three bags in it and split the bacon between two sandwiches, 6 pieces on each sandwich and I really like it.

It looks good. I m eating a lot of salad now because my sugar levels have gone up for the first time and I am not trying to do that. I am all about the bagged salad to avoid prep work, and wasted produce.

That's for the entire bag though, it's 180 per serving if you portion it out .

I always want to eat an entire bag & sometimes I do, but normally it’s 2 meals.
