(0:31) The choices in a jury trial as delineated by the judge prior to the jury retiring to deliberate are : Guilty or Not Guilty. "Not Guilty" is not the same thing as "Innocent" It means that the jury could not find the defendant guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. And if you're serving as a US Senator, even if you're not a lawyer (and I don't think Scott is), you should at the very least know this distinction.

Somebody needs to tell this guy that juries in the United States don't find defendants "innocent". (0:31) The choices in a jury trial as delineated by the judge prior to the jury retiring to deliberate are : Guilty or Not Guilty. "Not Guilty" is not the same thing as "Innocent" It means that the jury could not find the defendant guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. And if you're serving as a US Senator, even if you're not a lawyer (and I don't think Scott is), you should at the very least know this distinction.
