You know, I used to think those biblical references were out of place in a series inspired by Chinese and Japanese mythology, but considering that Dragon Ball has dealt with themes of redemption, sacrifice and rebirth, they actually make a degree of sense.
@@davebrown2056 the Christian community of Japan is fairly sizable at almost two million. One would expect less in East Asia, especially a country that was isolationist until the 1800s and anti-Western in the Interwar and WW2 period
@@davebrown2056 Dragon Ball mostly references Shinto and Buddhism (with a lot of its own made up mythos), so the backing vocals being in Hebrew or Arabic (I forget which) and saying he's with God is kind of odd along with everything else.

@@Sparrows1121 The bird imagery was symbolizing peace and C16 love for nature and peace. The "bird of prey" is a biblical reference to Abraham and his showcase of faith towards God.
