Poor quality video, but it showed me how to spring had to be pushed All the way back before assembling the door. That made the suspension on the handle, as you said.
Before that it wouldnt close and lock the door, when I tried. Now it grabs hold perfectly. Thank you!
I am in need of a circuit diagram for an Ariston AQ9F 29 U washing machine if you could point me in the right direction as to where to find one please. Mine machine board has a lot of corrosion on it and some components badly eaten away. Thanks in advance.

All very well, but the handle has broken with the door shut so I can't open it!!!!
That's what happened with mine and I got it open with a piece of string.
