What would I give for travelling back in time, being a young kid again and adventure that game with my friends, talking about pokemon in school, no responsibility for anything in life and just enjoying life man..
Beginning with Platinum, the DS games were my era of Pokemon games. Each of these games provided a safe place to explore my imagination and share a common mythology among peers: to us, playing these games was no different than the childlike wonder of playing outside. Perhaps I just grew older, but the 3D games never quite felt like that. Thank you so much for uploading these compilations as I work through my finals.
My first game was Emerald and it has not been much time since I played it for first time. I first played it in 2016, it hasn't been much time yet.... wait.... IT HAS BEEN 8 YEARS💀 (Sorry for bad english it isn't my first or second language)
@@Jha-s-kitchen damn, i played red on the GBA as my first game when i was like 4 or 5... more that 20 years ago. Followed by silver, firered, ruby, diamond, black, soulsilver, black 2, x, platinum, alphasaphire, moon, ultramoon, sword, and karmesin. By Gen 7 i didnt get the same fun than with old ones. Gonna go back to the old ones.
Do you recommend a specific order to play for these games: black, black 2, Platinum, SoulSilver? Those are on my play list but I don't know where to start 😅 @@stofel8822
@@stofel8822 That's really a long time. I am an old pokemon fan and Zelda fan too. I am playing both the games when I was like 5 or 6. Btw what is karmesin??
I played hundreds of hours of HGSS and my dad always guilted me into quit playing, calling me a loser, freak, all the names you can think of. So, one day after beating Red, he made fun of me for the last time and I smashed my Nintendo on the ground out of rage. He was happy and walked away. Now, being older, I don't understand why someone would want to ruin another's happiness. Seeing this video is a weird feeling, knowing ill never visit my old save file ever again. If I am going to die one day, why would I die miserable, knowing I did things for my dad that I never wanted to do just to make him happy? I regret smashing my Nintendo.
Oh gosh idk if I can keep listening to these, a lot of these don't feel old to me as I remember seeing Pokémon HGSS and BW2 etc... in stores and such like it was just a couple months ago, like where did all the time go!? Take me back!! Just for a little bit....
i always felt like pokemon had it golden times with the ds titles. The pixelart was ust perfectly fitting for this genre. New pokemon games just all feel cheap and made without any love at all. Imagine pokemon wouldve gone the route that Octopath Travelers went. Couldve been such cool games! But we can be pretty sure that we will never ever get any pixelart pokemon game again, since the pokemon company shits on the oldschool players and only hunts for the new trendy kids that buy stuff only for names and trademarks. My first game was pokemon dieamond for ds and i always loved the pixelart games of pokemon more than any new pokemon games. Luckily the comunity makes great pokemon games for free! :D Hope youre all havin a good time
Ooh yeah, these were my childhood games. First was heartgold (actually was mystery dungeon but first mainline was HG), didn't realise the point of the game was to catch wild pokemon so i just steamrolled everyone with my level 100 meganium, then got platinum, then onto black, then white 2. Bought X but never really enjoyed it like the gen 4/5 games and that's where I lost contact with pokemon. I still have all my games and nintendo but I haven't touched them in about 8 years. I'm 23 now, it's nice to come back for a moment.
Gens 3, 4 and 5 hold the most memorable in my heart. Soul Silver was a game I was obsessed with when I was a kid and I loved the challenge, Platinum was also pretty difficult when I was that age and it was as also a game a held dear to me. When Gen 5 came around, I stopped playing other DS games and focused on Pokemon Black. I remember that my first ever Pokemon game was Pokemon Ranger: Shadows Of Alma (could have the title wrong.) and then I got Sapphire and Fire Red from my cousin who had grown out of the games. Sapphire was and still is one of my favorites in the franchise and even/especially emerald (I was bias, my favorite is green lol) Honestly, I sometimes capture the wonder I had back when I was a kid with new Pokemon games but I sometimes wish I could just go back and experience everything for the first time. Thank you for this little mix of songs, I’m listening to it as I’m here at work. Take care peeps 🫶🏻
The aesthetic of the image alone hits home at an unexplainable nostalgic level. The Music is the cherry on top.
