      Yulia! Hooray indeed! Starting your day with dancing is amazing. 🙌🏼😊 Keeping stillness to then generate speed is key for building your spins. Nice work girlfriend. ✨✨✨ Did u try the 5 step turns?

      @@DanceInsanity I did mostly do the 5 step turns! I even tried to add one more spin. I try to start slowly, have speedy turns and end slowly. I have the right idea, just need to keep working on my balance and practice:)

      @SuperChickz you're welcome! Yes, it does take more control to do them slowly, but you reap the benefits of finding your center and balance. So, in the long haul, it's better for you. ;) just keep practicing and adjusting.

      @Luisame you're welcome. 🌈😊maybe so. But balance is definitely something that can be trained and acquired over time. Just takes specific exercises to get it down. Do u have better balance than others? 😉

    • @tytusbergstrom

    • @chance8yes

      As a man, I danced for many years and I enjoy making women turn. Now to help some female beginners, I am learning to turn myself. I managed to do the Salsa cross body turns. However, the spotting business I never get a hang of it.

    • @chance8yes
      @chance8yes 6 лет назад +5

      I also dance Argentine tango, where almost every turn and pivot is is initiated with upper body twist. So I am applying that technique to Salsa cross body turn with good success. However, the idea of turn/spin initiated by upper body’s twist seems to be contrary to the concept of spotting, because you want the head to be the last to turn :). Could you shed some light on this? Thanks.

    • @DanceInsanity

      @Kamila Sithra They work basically the same way, except in samba, you have a bent knee when u finish your side step. IE: side samba walk. Good question. 😊

    • @DanceInsanity
      @DanceInsanity  6 лет назад +8

      @Dance Fan. oops, I mean Alemana Good question! You can use the pull-in of your arms to create more speed. It's like figure skating. ;) do you like to spin?

    • @tytusbergstrom
      @tytusbergstrom 6 лет назад +9

      its an arm wrap, so the arms can go anywhere...

    • @dancefan.oopsimeanalemana5472
      @dancefan.oopsimeanalemana5472 6 лет назад +9

      wrap? not to argue, but... i thought th arms are supposed to be centered in front of the body??

    • @tytusbergstrom
      @tytusbergstrom 6 лет назад +4

      good point! i like to think of that for more basic spins, and then use the arms in lots of creative places as you get more advanced

    For beginners seeing this video, when on the ball of the feet it is not like on the toes. The heal is barely above the floor to glide above it and does not drag the floor.
