It made his bones brittle and caused him a lot of pain. That's what will do you in in the end - pain meds. Chronic pain, I can say from experience, is terrible. I have a hard time believing in the amount of pain he was in that he could have done anything to kids. Or he would have been so out of it most of the time from the meds that he wouldn't know where he was. The few precious hours I get where I'm not in a lot of pain and don't have to sleep are everything to me. I also think they exaggerate JFK's escapades because he had colitis - and as someone who has had pan-colitis, good luck trying to be a playboy.
