I think MyGm was a bit watered down but still a breath of fresh air. I'd like if they added salaries for writers, more titles other than 1 male and 1 female champs like mid-card titles and tag titles.
it would also be cool to pick which belt for your male and female title like you could have old belts like world heavyweight championship or divas championship as your main titles.
One way to make GM mode more fun and realistic is to set everyone to specialist in custom so that way classes between brands doesn't matter and popularity is more depending on your ratings cause it's not right like the rock vs cena is a 2 star match ❤️
I watched this the same day you uploaded and I have won every run of mygm mode. I would probably add that having a superstar in a singles rivalry and a tag with another set of guys in a single rivalry is really great too. When the 1v1 rivalries get stale, you can swap them out for the tag matches and keep 4/4 rivalries going without going stale quickly
Yea agree with this. I think the match type is only thing thats a major disappointment. Bc there's enough detail added here where I don't think they need any extra additions that we have to worry about in between.
That last tip was important. I use to kill CPU at PPV's but they would crush me weekly and I had no idea wtf was going on its because I had blown through all my level 4 rivalries.

I don't think it needs too much addition to it bc you don't want to over complicate it. I feel like we have enough responsibilities to worry about each week with stamina and pleasing fighters if possible, and budget. Against A.I yea things are pretty easy So maybe up difficulty there. They almost never hit me with double cost on my ppv. But I can imagine playing a human its gonna be alot goin on.

I draft a lot of specialists. Usually 4 for each gender. Priority for women as there are fewer women specialists. It allows you to make good feuds with whoever else you land. I usually take my first 3 picks on Charlotte, Becky, and Bayley (my 4th is Toni Storm). Then I add male specialists. Something like Riddle, Kushida, Dunne, and Gulak. Usually cheaper guys since I spent a lot on women. Then I fill out the roster with another couple cheap people of both genders. I still make sure my non-specialists are opposite types so they can rival easily. Last time I used Keith Lee (giant) and Santos Escobar (cruiser) for example.
Wish the gm mode had all the wtedtlets available to draft st the start. It seems its completely random who is on the draft lists. 1 time roman or someone is there...the next time...hes not. I started several times trying to get CAWs that I wanted. 1 .might show up...another doesnt. Cant even remember if I've even see Seth once
It's annoying af that you can't do it back to the opposing brands when it comes to ppv time. If you try they'll just get vetoed on the regular brand show instead of the ppv -_-
So I'm doing a refresher getting ready for 2k23. I just found out that the women's tag titles are in the game too. I have been using raw and smackdown tag titles but had no clue the women's titles have been in the game until I did a tag-team rivalry smh.
I wish there were some sliders or check boxes for things you want and don't want in gm. Sports games do this. As an example Regal put pret Hart and Roderick strong in a hell in a cell as match 1 on a random NXT 😂😂😂😂. Common man give us some realistic sliders so this kind of thing doesn't happen

Did horrible before the Pay Per View but then used my power card at the main event for the march the fans wanted and got 5 Stars currently in the lead will study there tips to stay in the lead. I'm on Smackdown and the 5-Star Match was Big E Vs. Universal Champion Roman Reigns in an extreme Rules match. And gonna let them rest this week in game and Yes Roman demands a rematch for losing his championship.
Specialists can be paired against any class including other specialists and will do better than a mismatch but will not do as well as bruiser vs fighter/cruiser vs giant
You can play, simulate or spectate certain matches. If you do a run-in on a match, you are unable to play or spectate that match. Hopefully 2k23 will change that so we can even spectate or play the run-in matches.
Imo yes. As long as you can still get diversity in the rest of your roster too. And yes, Specialist v Specialist works but doesn't get additional bonuses - still seems to work well, especially with Legends.
Varied cards do best. You don't want all bruisers v fighters as all 3 fights on a show, but having 3 of each gives you current rivalries, future rivalries, tag team options, and a chance for rotation/rest (for stamina too). There is no one hard rule for the perfect draft because there are so many variables, so be prepared to be flexible! 😊
It doesn’t matter if you play simulate the match the game will automatically based the stars on the rivalry and the match type and the classes of the fighters
I wish they were a little bit nicer interacting with the ai superstars sometimes they are nice and remember what you did other I might accidentally press one reply they don't like and they go low morale all pissed off 😂
Great video! The issue I'm having is remembering to do "WWE booking". When I try and do actual GOOD booking I lose to the opposition which is BS haha! I have a question. If you have a rivalry, between two talents but you want to save the 1 on 1 match for PPV, does booking them in a tag match with a partner each progress the rivalry? In real life it would, but here it feels like it has no effect.
I’m only through about 6 weeks and I’ve already got over 2,000,000 fans and $1,000,000 and am the number one show. It feels really easy. Is this just good luck or is the mode just generally too easy?
I'm not a native English-speaking so sorry if I miss spell something. I did some title matches with some run-ins, and the championship were lost. At first I thought it was some kind of error or I had selected a no dq match, but it wasn't. I don't know if is an error of my game or something but it doesn't matter what kind of match is, they don't end on dq and the title is lost. If someone know what can I do for fix it or is an error, tell me please.
That should only happen in no DQ matches, the game explicitly says in one of its on-screen tips that run-ins always result in a DQ. Not sure why it wouldn't work I'm afraid.

DO NOT PLAY GM MODE. I PLAYED ALL THE WAY TO WEEK 15/15 AND IT CRASHED. I TRIED PLAYED IT AGAIN & IT CRASHED BEFORE EVEN STARTING UP THE GM MODE. I PLAYED WWE 2K22 AFTER & IT CORRUPTED MY DATA I LOST EVERYTHING
It could be for a couple of reasons. The AI for the other show could be using one of those special cards for shows every week. Also, booking more rivalry matches and a couple of gimmick matches every week helps bring in more fans. Add a legend doing a charity promo and it gets pretty easy to rake in hundreds of thousands of dollars and win the season.
I dint know why I looked forward to this I should if known 2k would fuck it up. Only 3 matches can't do triple threat fatal 4 way ect. No ic or us title no tag titles.
This GM mode sux for someone reason half the roster wasn't even there during the draft even tho I made sure they were all active and seriously 3 matches per show wtf is with that and also having two titles on show come on 2k you managed to butcher this as well

I also don't like that the matches are pre-determined to know how many stars it is. I also don't like how fast popularity drops for wrestlers who are winning and putting on good matches Asuka went from a 59 pop to 40 in 3 weeks and I don't know how.

A collar and elbow tie up is performed before almost every move, even an Irish whip. That is so unrealistic, it makes gameplay look awful, the people who made WWE 2K22 probably don't even watch wrestling.
I could see where you're coming from to a degree, I'd class this game as more of a sim with more casual arcade aspects thrown in for newcomers rather than a full-on sim like the past games. So because of that, it does create a little identity crisis, however for me, I'm really digging this game. WWF No Mercy had a similar fighting set up with grappling being 80% of a match and a lot of people consider that to be one of the best wrestling games ever. It might have been different for you, however.

If the requirement is for your “most popular available” star just use a health spa card to make them unavailable, helped me heaps :))

When i get a match that is 4 stars or more i repeat it to make a rivalry and i keep on getting good ratings it worked for me

It does not progress the rivalry but can help create a new tag team rivalry instead, and both can run at the same time

The gameplay of the fighting is not good imo, I'm 100% GM mode - which is very fun, despite its flaws
