lol now that’s it’s limiting them as actors it’s too far. Looks like your moral line is indistinguishable from your self interest.
A black Jamaican actor playing a black Nigerian figure, for example? Works? Doesn’t?
A white German man playing the same Nigerian historical figure? Works? Doesn’t?
A white British actress playing an elderly white American woman? Works? Doesn’t work?
A Japanese woman playing the same character? Works? Doesn’t?
What are you not understanding?
They are the same race and can convincingly play a member of the same race even if not of the same ethnicity.
You can’t cast Liam Hemsworth as Genghis Khan but you can maybe Hyun Bin even though he isn’t Mongolian but Korean.
Again, what is confusing here?
