Clearly was dumped there. She had a collar (imbeaded too),was friendly, and let people touch her without doing anything. People need to learn sympathy! Just because you don't want them doesn't mean leave them on their own! Thank you for what you do.

not necessarily, she could have broken out and done a runner, meaning no one was there to adjust her collar before she managed to get it off (or some stranger took it off). Elsa seems to be a dog that has been well loved, just a shame that they may never find their baby, much like others who have a dog go missing for years and don't always think to try looking at dogs that have recently been rescued and already rehomed.
@@ShadowWolflonewolf , doubtful her previous owners were good to her......she is a young dog, had obviously had puppies at least once before, and had an embedded collar. So it is a good thing her original owners don't get near her ever again. Just a shame they can't be identified so they can be charged for neglect and abuse, and banned from ever having another animal. Her collar was too tight in the first place if it became embedded. I think after they used her to make money off her pups, she escaped and could have gone looking for her puppies....or she just escaped because her previous owners were complete assholes.

Years ago I came across a homeless dog, as I was looking for my dog that got out of the yard. I decided to give her a home. She had more ticks on her than fleas! The only spot you could pet her was on her forehead. The next day I took her to the vet and then groomers.
When I thought of a name for her, the name Maggie just popped in my head. Somehow, I think that was her name. It fit. She responded to it immediately. I never cared for that name until her.
She lived a good life with my family. Unfortunately, I never found my dog Tawny. Looked for months.
Sorry you didn't find your dog. Maggie came to help

When I was younger I took in a stray witch no chip He appeared to be a cross between a Peekapoo and Pekingese. I took him to the vet and he had heart worms which I had treated. I was making minimum wage but he ate better then me and had medical care which I couldn't afford for myself. He would get up on my shoulders and sleep while I watched TV. Unfortunately a man who my brother was helping out stole his gold watch and my dog. I searched for months for my dog but couldn't find him, I still miss him.
German Shepherds are amazing! Another great rescue. Amazing work. Who else wishes there was a way to give more than one thumbs up?!

well, you do need to understand it most likely was not intentional. Yes, there is a lot of animal abuse out there, but she could have just been a family pet, had the collar when she was younger, and ran off before getting microchipped.

Your dog is beautiful❤ Emma I have a female GSD Dakota she's 19 months old and had her as a puppy, her mama wasn't producing milk and the guardian gave her to me cause she didn't think she would make it, bottled milk until she was weaned at 3 months and out of the eight puppies only one died, yes they are all beautiful the males 2 are huge, I kept in touch with some of the guardian GSD, ALICE Tx, Corpus Christi Tx,and San Antonio Tx. I wish I would of gotten two but I didn't want to be greedy, and the lady Mrs. Spendlove offered two but man anyways.....

Oh my, I smiled all the way through Elsa's rescue. Here in the UK German Shepherds are generally used as guard dogs and as such I feel they are abused and even if not tend to be dogs devoted to only one person. GSDs are brilliant, highly intelligent, loyal and very sensitive, and Elsa has such a lovely nature. Thank you for rescuing her.

@@HaanBerry Yes they are, and they excel at it. In Scotland, where I ive, we have lots of Border Collies. Like GSDs they are soooo intelligent, tend to be highly strung and although they're not bred as guard dogs they are so loyal and brave that they are great at this job. They also tend to be great with cats.

@wkruit1 That is probably not true, you don't know what kind of problems the person who owned her had, That person was most likely raised by ignorant parents. There are a lot of really stupid people out there. Just look at interviews done on the fools at the left wing march's to see what I mean.
I have one, female, and she protect me so much. Recently my oldest son yelled at me and she bit his ankle, and when someone strange approaches me she always watches him. She is my best company. My baby is exactly like Elsa. I love her so much.

All the folks commenting on here about how could anyone be so cruel to this dog; however, it is possible that she just escaped or ran away from somewhere when she was younger, and that collar grew into her neck while she was growing and out on her own. Just saying that it's possible someone wasn't mean to her, but she was just a victim of circumstances and got lost and became homeless. I really hate cruelty to animals but just wanted to say this may not have been deliberate cruelty. Glad she was rescued. Seems like such a beautiful and wonderful dog.

I find it puzzling when watching videos like this, to see it has ANY dislikes. Are the ppl disliking these videos like dog haters or something?
They might be "disliking" it because they disapprove that someone abandoned them.
That fact we would be worried about dislikes on google show's we are being brainwashed by "The beast", Satan himself.
Maybe they have a bad conscience because they did that themselves. Though I sure don't hope so.
There could be many simpler explanations like disliking the editing, the use of music (specifically or at all), the censoring (of the wound), the fact that they waited a day instead of breaking in, a specific member of Hope for Paws or the organization as a whole based on a negative encounter (there does not need to be malice from any side involved at all).
The reasons could be miriad. I'm not saying they are very good reasons but they could be ones used. A few also are just some random dislikes by weird bots floating around or actually targeting Hope for Paws for some reason. And some will be by people who think that they could invest their time wiser by helping humans first, because there are many that need help as well and aren't taken care of by anyone. And yeah, a few will be from some douchbags no one needs.
I want to make clear that these aren't my opinions, I simply offer some reasons to dislike a video that go far beyond a simple "they hate pets".

I can’t help but shed tears while watching your videos. Every dog is innocent and they will never ever hurt people like human beings do to each other. They will only protect you with their lives. Why would people abandon their dogs? The moment you welcome him to your house, you make a commitment for a lifetime.

I rescued a female German Shepard at work 6yrs back. I already had a black male German Shepard at home. A week before I could get her fix she went into heat. Had 5 beautiful puppies. They all went to family and friends. I was very picky who got one. Only to people who had a big back yard and let them stay inside at night. Made sure they were treated as part of the family. Got her fix quickly after puppies were gone. It was to stressful to see them go. She was a very beautiful loving best friend. Died of a heart attack or brain aneurysm last year. I miss her

If I weren't fighting for my life and had enough donations to save my life, I would totally donate a few dollars to help this dog recover from the trauma bad humans caused. I hope that those that have the money will help this poor dog.
I really do have to wonder about RUclips if the video got taken down due to the injury on Elsa's neck. It's hardly gorey and there's probably far worse things on here for people to see. I don't get why it's an issue for this channel or ones like Vet Ranch, but this is probably the worst of their censorship.

I've been dying to get a dog and it's taking all my willpower to not fly out to California and adopt this beautiful girl.
Edit: don't convince me 😂 I'm a broke grad student and I fly to Asia every winter. I won't adopt a dog until I know I can either take it with me safely (doubtful) or have enough money to leave it with a trusted kennel.

I used to live in a small duplex. We rescued a Belgian shepherd. Days before we moved to a house I had to have my dog in a tied to leash.
He had space to me around. When we finally got a house, my dog started jumping and running around with joy, once I put his igloo down on the floor.
Amazing how he knew that was our new home. One acre entirely for him and his new buddy. Mason and Thomas ♥️

I have a special place in my heart for German Shepherds as one saved my life when I was small. I was headed to a busy street and he ran after me and pulled me back into the yard and would not let go until I was safe. :)
