Got any other suggestions for modules I should give you some patch ideas for? Or other techniques you'd like to share with those watching? Let me know in the comments!

Peakae i’d be interested to hear what you use Marbles for mostly and what results you can get with it. I know there’s some videos of Marbles out there, but since you your rack consists of most modules i have on my want list and the type of music you make i’d be especially interested on your thoughts on Marbles.

Hey man, great videos! Please do more, they're very helpful.
Would be interesting to have an ambient tutorial with basic VCOs, filters and basic modulation.
      Keep on!

I've got Marbles, Rings, Shifty, Magneto and curious about Plaits and Nebulae. So I'm curious to hear any more ambient type examples involving these modules. You break everything down to a speed I can almost follow too haha. Good work!

I think this was one of the best demos of Magneto I have ever seen. Not just the sound, but in understanding what everything is doing. Thanks for this.

Just what i was about to comment! Really good job on this. I nervously just purchased Magneto before watching this, but now I'm pretty confident in my decision :) haha thanks

Great tutorial, just what I've been looking for. Very helpful to see working examples of making modules work together and not just an exhaustive rundown of everything a single module can do. More please :)

Perhaps the best tutorial for magneto.

These are very helpful. I noticed that you stopped doing these and I can only hope that you do more in the future. These two patch tutorial videos are some of the most helpful modular videos I've seen, because you explain everything and you actually make the type of music people want to hear from the modules. Most tutorial videos show a bunch of spastic bleeps and bloops that are not musical when explaining the module - which doesn't actually help for beginners trying to get the proper patch ideas and sounds.

Please please please make more of these, you explain patching in such a concise yet easy to understand way that I have yet to see on RUclips. As someone new to modular who learned more from your videos than anyone else's combined, these are priceless!

Thanks for posting this! I recently got a Magneto because it's awesome but was surprised there weren't more demos/tutorials on how to use it in patches. This was really helpful all around.

What an excellent video! Well shot and so relevant to modules I own and use. The Magneto tips are much appreciated. I wasn’t aware of some of those features. I look forward to watching more!

I'm just starting out with Eurorack and this was REALLY helpful and inspiring. Really hyped for Magneto now (should be next week or). I wasn't really interested in marbles, but the quick explainer of the Deja Vu function made me change my view on this module entirely. Gotta look into it.

Thanks for this patch explanation. I loved the trick of multing the signal to lofi junky for using it as a dry version replacement :)

Wow ... timing is perfect as I just got a Magneto and a Marbles a little before that. Your video is great at explaining how to patch these modules in a musical sounding fashion. Awesome ... hope to see some of these!

Thanks! I’ve mostly moved away from these pre recorded tutorials and instead live stream experimentation and learning with new modules. Check them out sometime! Or come watch live, wed at 7pm mountain or sat 10am mountain, see the twitch link in my channel banner. :)

That was great. At the end when you bring in the lo fi junky the patch starts slightly evoking that Boards of Canada sound.

Better than patching the output of Rings through an attenuator, patch it through a VCA. More flexibility later! I’m not sure what you could replace for a Blinds or Veils... Tetrapad?

Sounds lovely. Nice use of Magneto. I hope these "lets build a patch" videos never end.
Intellijel have an upgraded output board that can connect directly to the Mixup… It may spare you a couple of patch cables.

Magento sounds a lot like the zvex lo-fi junky. Would you agree with that? I have never used either but was considering the lo-fi junky. After seeing this though the Magento looks like it gives you similar results and is a lot more versatile.

    • @Peakae
      @Peakae  5 лет назад

I wouldn’t say so actually. The lofi junky has a very unique sound, the magneto would struggle to get that warbly vibrato effect I would think. But it might be possible!
