I see BP over diagnosed a lot. I've been practicing 5 years and have only seen true, classic, 100% bipolar 1 disorder less than 10 times.

What do you consider a low dose of lithium?

Usually like 150-450 daily is what I consider low dose and typically prescribe in that context.

Can restarting Depakote put you into a manic episode?

VERY unlikely. We use it to treat acute mania. More likely, if a person seemed manic after taking it, there is something else going on.
