We played 3-4 player of this at GenCon and it felt like there was no game there. You had two choices and then you would randomly see if it matters. The few traitor cards or something that was an instant win (at least for that player) came up fairly often. We played three times and I noped out because it felt like an activity and not a game.
Great game. Picked it up at GenCon for $15. Played several rounds with 5 people and it was super fun. Got it home and played several more rounds with 8 people and remained super fun. Glad to see it get Dice Tower love.
Is there any particular reason why the "snake" is even there? There is no decision making at all after playing the first card so you could just go at random and it would work the exact same way. Or is there something I'm missing?
There are several cards with "You may..." abilities, or abilities where you choose a room to kill anything (alien or other players), so timing that matters.
Picked this up at gen con and we love it! We played it before going to see Alien: Romulus to set the mood.
Have you played Fate of the Nostromo? I’m curious which game you might like better.

And it's only $15 with a neoprene mat

Fun seeing the new set. Liked the more relaxed couch, but both good.
You said you played this game on camera, what video is that?

FYI this review is missing from BGG.
Less info the love letter? Seems like a activity. Just flip a coin? I don't get it.
I can't believe neither of you said "All killer, no filler". Come on, it's right there in the name.
My family and I (with a few others) playtested this at TantrumCon 2024. Glad to see it's out on the market now and seems to be well liked!
What? Where's the game here? It's basically Candy Land. You have no information with which to strategize.
Disagree that it works at 4. Three and four players isn't good in my experience.
We played 3 and 4 players at GenCon and it felt like a game where you barely make any decisions and might as well just roll a die to see if you win.
