Beautiful tractor, did a season on a 7710 John Deere with a 6 furrow rabe years ago, some yoke to pull till I got into dry hard ground she'd just spin the wheels so I had to back and the 5 furrow
Always were an absolute beast for Ploughing, pile of grip. Nothing at that time touched them and many of men went back to them even after the 20 and 30 series came out. Good man on the tractor would have got the best out of it😉😂😂
Its the turning at the ends that you need teaching about, clutching 4 times is not necessary. Make your headland bigger and lift on the move turn into your work, reverse back turning the plough, forward into the furrow dropping the plough as you enter , throttle up without stopping. 2 clutch uses only.I ploughed thousands of acres and time was of the essence so learn the most effective way to save both the tractors transmission and time. Ploughing straight can only be shown .
I saw a guy on RUclips from Scotland who lifted the plough out on the move at the headland did a full circle while turning the plough over, then dropped the back in, no reversing or clutching. He said the headland needed to be wide enough to do a full circle as this saved a lot of time as you pointed out. He left the corners level when ploughed and no bits unploughed.
All ye had to do to slow the drop rate was turn the dial under the cover at the lift controls. Don't Diss the tractor because the guy in the boiler suit doesn't know the controls. Good video otherwise.
He’s back the man, the myth, the legend Allen Clyde 💪💪
