I love buttons too. My grandmother always had canning jars full of buttons & as a young child i could sit & look through all the buttons.

Such a fabulous sewing room! Love how you have kept notes from your kids. I kept some from my daughters. They are now 39 and 42. I laminated them to preserve their love notes to me.

Love your sewing room and organization! I’m pretty sure my hubby would kill me if I had that may unfinished projects though!😳. I have six small bins that I store upcoming projects in, I don’t purchase any new materials unless there is an empty one. Keeps me in check😊

Kimberly you have a beautiful sewing studio. I love how organized you are. I think when I see a container or bin that I like for organizing, I will purchase multiples so everything matches. Some places don't always carry the same items or colors. Sometimes when you go back to buy more they are sold out, or they are discontinued. Thank you for sharing, it is such an inspiration.

I wish I had my own house or apartment so I could have a sewing room/area. I am working out of Sterlite containers spread out under my bed, garage and a few next to my sewing cabinet. Love your sewing studio, it's beautiful 😍

The only thing I wouldn’t want in my sewing studio that you have in yours is carpet. In our old house I had carpet and I couldn’t tell you the times I’ve stuck in a pin in my foot from where I dropped it in the floor.
I quilt, cross stitch and crochet too!!! They are my three favourite craft activities.

Love that you have the pin cushion in your sewing room! I sent the video to the now 5th graders that made that for you so they can see! They are really missing handwork right now because it is really hard to teach it remotely as you can imagine. Some of them are carrying on but without one on one help it is hard for some,

I admit to be envious of your thread wall, but I know you've been quilting a lot longer than me, so have been able to acquire more. I loved seeing your family treasures, your buttons!, your decor! Thanks Kimberly for the tour of your home studio. You gave me some good ideas. I really like the open drawers you use for the projects you are working on. Besides quilting, I do cross stitch, wool applique and rug hooking so I usually have several projects I'm working on. Thanks again.

I'm a beginner and have not actually started sewing since I
just bought my first sewing machine in preparation for my
retirement hobby! I know sewing can be messy which cannot
be helped and so before I decided to get a sewing machine I
already considered a permanent room as my sewing room!
At this stage I'm starting to buy all essentials and tools that
I will be using while browsing everywhere saving subscribing
different sewing vloggers like you for tutorials and guidance
