- Pokémon Black & White remakes are inevitable, but some people are absolutely dreading the idea of them. There are multiple reasons why, and today we dive into that and you get to hear my thoughts!

Pokemon Black is quite literally my favorite pokemon game, i have 800+ hours in it, I would commit cardinal sin for these remakes.
I have 1000 hrs in sv and it's not even that great lol. I did enjoy building raid support mons and trying to win raids online against all odds
All that just for the remakes to be mid😭💔
Same here I'm tired of waiting for Black and White's remakes
B/W are my favorite games, I have maxed out the in-game play timer on them 4 times now, which is at least 4000hrs (locks out at 999:59)

The fact that there was no distortion world or the original battle arenas in BDSP really hurt me
it is not a Platinum remake. And there is a Distorted Room in Ramanas Park.

@@melontusk2591 no it shouldn't. All players needed was the Griseous Orb. They didn't need an entire Distortion World for that. And the Battle Frontier is a waste of time and resources. Battle Tower is enough for players.

@@melontusk2591 no, its a W take. They not going to put in a feature that is Platinum exclusive and is barely used by players. It makes no sense for them to do that. And Distortion World wasn't a part of the DP story so obviously it wasn't going to return and again players didn't need the whole DW to get one item for Giratina.
My issue with bd/sp is that it was just d/p with new graphics, so if you have d/p you've basically played them already. If you have platinum, you've played a better version already.
Similarly I think game freak won't do an OR/AS type remake for b/w, as that would detract from s/v but if they make the remakes similar to bd/sp then you can just play the original b/w or b2/w2. Theres no reason to buy the remakes unless you dont own the originals and can't find a reasonably priced second hand version.
At this point I’d even prefer a fucking ILCA remake of black and white rather than a lag fest of an open world black and white.
I think everyone wants a black and white remakes, just many are afraid it's going to be turn out like bdsp, which I genuinely liked, but was still disappointing compared to what hgss and oras were 😢

I want Let’s Go Johto because it is local multiplayer so I have really great memories playing with my brother. And Black and White remakes once Pokémon becomes a company that can make A SINGLE NOT LAGGY AND BUGGY GAME!!! Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee were like the only recent Pokémon game to have amazing graphics and little to no glitches.
Its weird how people all of sudden like black and white as the game itself didnt sold more like others. People were talking shit about it and said it was the worst pokemon game when it wasnt.

Right? I hate how people think they know what every living person on Planet Earth wants and that there can only be one opinion.
But why? the story is already completed theres no point of having them remade what can they do to enhance the game? Is this a smart business decision? Its not a one person opinion as a die hard fan I will tell you when Black and white came out a lot of people hated it because there was hardly any pokemon people liked from past gens in the games sounds like sword and shield right but then to save they ass. They came out with bw2 they could have just started with bw2 😂the game itself did not sell well and most people like me and my friends went and got our money back from Walmart to protest the game waited after bw2 was gonna release and bought the first one on a gamestop sale and I remember the clerk to this day saying it was the worst pokemon game to exist 😂how the employees and the salesmen hate the game they are supposed to upsale😂

Game Freak has a recent track record of botching and rushing out poor remakes. Black and White 1 and 2 especially are perfect. "PERFECT"!. They are so near and dear to my heart that I would be destroyed if they ruined those game's legacy with a bad remake like Pearl and Diamond. Black and White 1 and 2 just need to be left alone in my memories.
I would like to get a remake for X and Y the mega evolution was awesome

I think Legends did a ton for Pokémon as a series and definitely was many steps ahead of BDSP. It wasn’t my favorite game ever but I’m very glad it exists, I wouldn’t quite say I like BDSP more
Ultra sun and moon were like emerald. The same game essentially, but added content.
Im sorry but ultra sun and moon cant be considered sequels especially compared to BW2 as it was what i would have expected from a Remake. It added new things not just story wise but side content, which is what i expect from a remake which is why i think people disliked USUM as if i remember right it came out right after Sun and moon...which we can all agree was a stupid move on gamefreak's part. BW2 were true Sequels, it continued the story from BW 1 with team plasma and N and is canonically a few years after BW 1 while USUM were literally the same, but improved story, as SM with the same characters just with the added story content. USUM did what OMAS did and gave us a different but still familiar Story with the same characters, and some redesigns, and more story and side content to enjoy. I hold the opinion that if gamefreak didnt do USUM literally right after SM they wouldve been more well received. And that's the reason I just didn't enjoy BDSP as it was almost a complete 1:1 of the original DP especially story wise and design wise. It did add some reworked content such as the underground and the pokepark but it didn't do what I've come to expect a remake to do.
And the Argument for Black and White not getting remakes because "black and white 2 were the remakes" is stupid as again those were REAL sequels and the Let's go games are technically remakes of the OG red and blue/green which had gotten remakes, Fire Red and Leaf Green, already. There's no rule that the games won't get a third Remake/Sequel and applying the mindset that we won't get a remake/sequel to BW because BW2 exists is just stupid.
They are going to make a soulless carbon copy of the game and collect their bag like always…
I think it'd be interesting if we got to travel a second region to persue Ghetsis's plans to combine the stories of the original 4 games. Say Johto for example, instead of the one dimensional rival we had in B2W2, we come across Ethan/Lyra who want to take them down for endangering their region. Johto could have its own elite 4 and champion by then. Red as a champ and blue as the fourth E4 member would be lit. One can only dream
I'm one of those people who thought B/W2 and Ultra Sun/Moon WERE the remakes for those generations. But since we've now had Switch-level Gen 1 and Gen 4 games, I feel like they've gotta give us a way to play Gens 2 and 3 on the switch before moving on to gen 5.
1) UsUm ISNT a sequel like Gen 5 it’s literally a remake like Platinum/HgSs/Emerald 2) Gens 1-3 already have many remakes and games. 3) Gen 5 is next for traditional remakes.
I don’t understand what hard to grasp that? Gens 1-3 are done. Johto is the only one with a chance since it’s not fully 3D, but the rest alongside Gen 4 already got theirs. Gen 5 is next it’s inevitable.
@@a.x.x8184 UsUm wasn't a remake either they were upper versions like how Crystal was to Gold an Silver versions for example.
A Remake is on lines of Fire Red & leaf Green or Omega Ruby & Alpha Saphire.
Gen 5 had my favorite Pokemon come out of it. But honestly, people need to chill. We already have so much and yet people are STILL asking for more, and I don't think remakes are going to accomplish anything besides pander to nostalgia, which is never good in the long run.
Just be happy with what we have!
As soon they launch the Switch 2 they can remake all they want.

I would prefer we get Gen 5 remakes when Gen 10 comes around on the Switch 2 since every remakes has always appeared on a seperate console (FRLG on GBA, HGSS on DS, ORAS on 3DS and BDSP on Switch), the most likely one to be remade next is Johto since that's currently the region we haven't revisited the longest
Johto had its turn with remakes with HGSS. And I prefer to not get another bad remake of Johto.
I'm a Pokémon fan and I really do want a Black and White Remake. Also, I really think they're gonna keep making remakes in chronological order.

Pokémon Present should have announced the Black and White Remakes but they didn’t and it makes me so mad
Even though the Pokemon Company does what ever they want, the Unova remakes will happen if they use the BW2 games since those offered more content in the sequels and have more. I do agree that the remakes can't be the only Pokemon games to be announced, they usually have some spin-offs and the next big game too. I still don't think the GBA games will happen because of the "fear" of them being exposed and hacked on Switch (since Switches can be hacked into now) and so the Pokemon Company, despite would make a lot of money on them being on NSO, just isn't doing it for that reason or others.

@@AnonymousC2218 Hope is they will USE BW2 games because it has a Pokemon World Tournament spot which you battle Gym Leaders, Rivals and Champions unlike the DP remakes.

If I had to say what I want for black and white remakes, it's definitely that they continue the story they had set up in the first two games and also being in terastization, it be cool having another ginic in unova plus pokemon scarlet and violet's dlc had black and white themes in it, so it would only make sense

Technically we already got a emerald remake when we got ORAS with the delta Emerald epsiode, honestly the remakes should be in release order so Johto should be next.

I'm a pokemon fan and I do want a black and white 1 and 2 remake and a well polished one too,because gen 5 will always remain my favourite pokemon generation.
Me watching this in the future after this came out knowing damn well we are only getting one main Pokémon game next year is kinda funny to me but sense it’s a legends game and they skipped black and white right to kalos so maybe even Pokémon themselves thought black one and two and white one and two are sacred or something idk
What if in an alternate timeline, Pokemon Gens 1-12 came out yearly worldwide from 1996 to 2006? With the first half on GB and the latter half on GBA(with both systems being compatible for transfers). Gen 2 having only one Region. All these games took place in the Classic Timeline. There are 1,024 Pokemon in total(with Gen 3 onwards having less than 100 new species). And Regional Variants existed from Gens 2-12.
After the Classics, what if each Gen got a cool remake on every 10-year Anniversary? While always having cool new features, better artstyles, and redesigned characters? While each set of remakes took place in a parallel universe. With the Mega timeline from 2006-2016. And the Gmax timeline from 2016-2026.
How'd the franchise have looked like? How well would it have been recieved? Especially with each Region coming back once every 10 years(even Kanto, had it not came back constantly every year like in our current timeline). Would fans be able to miss each Region long enough to enjoy their return a decade later?
Its 25 years this year since gen 2 Pokémon got released. I think (and hope) they will announce a johto remake for this year. I would pay mad cash for a switch version of S/G/C or HG/SS! But since the first let’s go was kanto based, I think we are going to get a Let’s go Johto!

Personally I wouldn't mind BW/B2W2 remakes, but not yet. I feel like TPC should wait a little longer before dropping another mainline game this year, regardless of what it is.
I would love Gen 5 remakes, but it feels a little too soon, especially since the last remakes were 2 years ago now. That is a decent amount of time, but just doesn't feel like the right time

Legands was awesome! Bdsp was cool imo... maybe not the art style and they kept trying to fix bug and not being able too and the servers spare no longer up soo i can't get shayman darkrai jirachi mew and ect.... and since the pokemon company dosnt allow cloud saves when my nintendo switch broke they were gone forever,... and I dunno if the gas ever opened?

i want faithful remakes of Pokemon Black and White. To have them on the Switch will be great and it gives new players the chance to play through Unova. I loved BDSP and consider it the best remake in the franchise. ORAS is not a good example of a remake to me. It added/changed too much. It needed to be more faithful. I never liked Legends Arceus. HGSS is probably the worst remake i played. Didn't fixed issues from GS and was slow like all gen four games.

Honestly, in my opinion, I hope it’s like what happened with Sinnoh. (Unless it’s like PLA, wasn’t that much of a fan). If they do make Unova again, and if it’s set like BDSP, I’ll definitely be happy, but if it’s like PLA, then no thank you.
But if it was up to me, I’d choose Kalos remakes as they’re now 11 years old and haven’t gotten anything new yet.
So you want 1:1 remake? Why? A remake like ORAS would be better. Imo the BDSP remakes were pointless as they didn't do anything new tho I did kinda like the Chibi style.
