There’s actually a published novel that is entirely in kayfabe that is literally just about Kane’s backstory, and it includes Katie Vick. However, there was zero necrophilia involved. It’s been a really long time since I’ve read it so I’m a little fuzzy on the details, but if I’m remembering correctly, after Paul Bearer joined WWF, Kane was on his own for the first time, and he tried his best to live a relatively normal life. Katie Vick was his girlfriend in like a “beauty and the beast” kind of thing, and then she died in a drunk driving accident and Kane basically exiled himself from society until Paul Bearer brought him into WWF

Here's the kayfabe timeline of the whole thing. Undertaker's parents owned a funeral home that Paul Bearer worked at. Paul had an affair with Taker's Mom, and then Kane was born. Taker's Dad obviously never knew Kane was really Paul's, so he raised him as his own until the fire happened. At this point the story gets a little fuzzy but essentially Taker is off doing whatever he's doing while Paul is raising Kane in a new funeral home. Paul and Taker get back together and Paul offers him the chance to start wrestling under the tutelage of the Million Dollar Man. Paul is still raising Kane during this period. When Paul Bearer joins Taker in WWF/WWE , this is when Kane is by himself for the first time. During this period of 1991-1997 is most likely in kayfabe when the Katie Vick thing would've happened. That's the best way to make it all make sense lol.

A big issue - "Kane is alive, Undertaker!" Taker thought Kane died in the funeral home fire too, him visiting Kane in the asylum would be a huge continuity breaker, even more so than what we got

Could always have Paul Bearer be responsible for that and Undertaker got told about it during the Ministry days.
I can see it still making sense. If Undertaker, in this, is visiting Kane in the asylum when they were younger telling him she died in the fire, we can say some time before the HiaC match, he stopped visiting and had Paul give him updates. Paul, as Kane’s dad, tells Taker he died so he won’t torment him anymore. Fast forward some time, “Kane is alive, Undertaker!”
Yeah, sub Undertaker for Paul Bearer and it would make more sense.
6:15, if I recall correctly, Paul was the apprentice of The Undertaker's father, the owner/head mortician of the funeral home, which explains where he learned the craft and how he was so close to the family. I think he mentioned that during the time he revealed the existence of Kane in the first place.

Underrated part of this booking:
This also gives an actual psychological reason for Kane to betray Taker during that Memorial Weekend betrayal where he rendered Undertaker catatonic. He could theoretically use this as, when he hugged Shawn Michaels, he knew he could strike for revenge. That Taker only held Vick over him when Taker was more powerful than him and therefore when Taker no longer had that power, Kane could finally obtain vengeance.
After adam explained how the whole katie vick storyline happened I thought we were done, I forgot he needed to rebook it. 😂🤣

Katie Vick feels like something when Vince first thought of it decided that's such good s**t yet when it happened he went it's not such good s**t. Also nice to see another How Adam Would Book I honestly could wait forever for another one to come out
If i had but one request for this, it would be How Adam Would Book Stardust in WWE. Granted it isn't the most obvious choice out there, but I feel that this angle was a truly lost opportunity. There was a story in here about brothers. About family. About legacy. About corporate mandate versus dignity. And about getting lost in the paint. I think Cody TRIED to get some of this across, but Vince gotta Vince I guess. I have my own ideas about booking it, but I'd love to hear Adam's take. Especially now since Cody Rhodes is back in the fold.

Well the Shawn Michaels "one last match" prompt is easy.
1. Don't do the Saudi show
2. He already had the perfect final match don't do any others
For the HBK one, have him wrestle against Styles at Mania or just keep his retirement from 2010 onwards as is.
I'd like this one too. I always hoped he'd do 1 more match with either Ziggler or Gargano to pass his torch.

The best booking I've seen for DX 09-10 was one that involved Shawn Michaels joining the NWO, then getting thrown out, so he teams up with Triple H as DX to take on the NWO scourge.

Also I know he already booked Kane's unmasking years ago but he did book two separate matches for The Fiend at the same WrestleMania; the first one was against Vince McMahon in his "How Adam Would Book The Fiend" video and the second in "How Adam Would Book John Cena's 17th World Championship".

There are even a couple of AEW stories he could do like Cody/Ogogo or the Nightmare Collective. Though, rebooking either of those might send Adam deeper into the bottle.
Issue is Adam hasn’t watched tna very much compared to wcw/aew . The only thing I know for sure that he’s seen in tna was the final deletion match

So William Moody was 13 years older then Glen Jacobs, so let's say Paul Bearer is 19-20 years older then Kane. Paul Bearer was the young apprentice at Taker's parents funeral home, but Taker's mum seduced him. Paul takes over the business when the parents die because Taker is too young.
Wouldn't that go to another family member? I don't know how these things work, but would there be many guys in their early 20s managing funeral homes?

Yknow, given what we know about Vince’s proclivities now; stuff like Katie Vick suddenly makes much more sense how he came up with it.
The fact that you made this sound like a good story is a testament to how good you've gotten at this Adam. Some other booking video ideas:
* Miro's TNT title reign (missed opportunity)
* Baron Corbin as Mr. MITB (we've seen flashes of greatness from Baron, but this set him back years)
* The dethroning of the Tribal Chief (always fun to do a booking for the future, then compare how it plays out.)
* Bret Hart as WCW World Champ
* Christopher Daniels as the Greater Power
Well he already did a Dethroning Roman storyline and it was actually pretty good.

Still would like to know how you would book 2018 Daniel Bryan up until his heel turn. Since imo at least it wasn’t the best. With the out of nowhere fued with Big Cass and then the delayed fued with Miz that got watered down with the wives for no reason until he turned heel and Miz started a program with Shane

- the end of the Authority (actually giving them a definitive finish other than just them kinda quietly ending)
- the Awesome Truth (who had a promising start, but just fell apart after Survivor Series. Would be interesting to see how Adam makes them a credible threat for months on end)
- Cody Rhodes heel turn in AEW (starting after the Malakai Black feud to see how Adam works in a Cody heel turn)
- Muhammad Hassan (someone else mentioned this, so I’ll just add to the votes.)
Muhammad Hassan should never have led the terrorist attack on RAW - he should have been innocent but framed for it!

Here’s a few suggestions: How Adam Would Book: Scott Steiner in 2002/2003, How Adam Would Book: King Booker, How Adam Would Book: The Divas Revolution, or How Adam Would Book: The Dungeon of Doom vs Hulk Hogan. I also support the earlier suggestion of How Adam Would Book: WCW 2000. (Would love to see plastered Adam would be for that)

As much as I like this alternate booking, I appreciate the reasoning you put into why you took the angle in the direction you did. Most comments about this angle are about...that scene... so it's nice to see some focus on why the rest of the angle was in poor taste, too.
