- Kenyan "Big Zo" Payne, from Campanella Park Piru talks about growing up in the community where Roy Campanella Park was the central location during the late 1970s and 1980s. He reflects on his days at McKinley Elementary School on Stanford Avenue and Enterprise Junior High School during the 1980s.
Some of the people mentioned in this episode were JG, Nard, Tone, Baby Alvin, Big Toot, Jake Robles, Spud his relatives Roadie & D-Mack, Cardell Armstrong, Kevin Windfield, Stranger and his brother G-Weeder.
The conflict with Tragniew, Original Swamp and Lantana Blocc Compton Crips are discussed.
In part 2 of this interview, he will talk about how after he transitioned from gang bangin' to hustlin' and he was eventually federally indicted in 2007 in a large scale drug trafficking ring that was allegedly supplying Black Mafia Family in Atlanta. He was sentenced to over 10 years in prison and recently released.

The OG's did use to post up at Campenella, Swamped out...some of the most feared Crips in Compton...79'-82', by the time 83' came around, it was shooting beef on sight. It's kind of hard to get one of those remaining OG's to talk...but it's possible.

They've met several times at Campenella, OG's and bg's...and it's been all good so far. As for the Crips.. Compton Crips has had 2 meetings already, and to my knowledge, Lantana hasn't showed up yet. But,.they had a meeting among themselves at West Park..on some "in-house" business. They don't want any hood showing up, with that counter productive mindset,.. which is understandable.. since some beefs run deep, and may never be able to sit down together.
