    Hooray! Finally a Fly-Tier shows breaking off the thread!! I've been tying and teaching it that way since 1988! And what happens if it doesn't break off cleanly...use your scissors like you would have had to do if you weren't just doing the break. Also, one key to getting it to break cleanly is to use tight wraps and hold the thread tight 180° from where you are trying to break it. It will break cleanly at least 95% of the time if you do that.

    Just an excellent fly-tying video. I'd suggest you identify yourself in the video. It was very nicely done! Also great to see the whip finish with your fingers. Have you ever set down your whip finisher and had trouble finding it on your fly-tying desk? If so, learn how to tie a whip finish with your fingers. You'll never misplace your fingers; they can always be found sticking out just past the forward end or the palm of your hand...Ooops! There it is!!

    Nice job. I've been tying these guys with quills lately. Did I see one of your ties using quills or was it someone else? Can you post a link if you have a quill version? Thanks a bunch.
