The Ghouls have really honed their stage antics with the restrictions of having a mask on. Playing in a band for years you can just look at each other and you know what the other is thinking. They're really good at this. Omega is rocking the f**k out!
Yes! That’s part of why this band won me over-the contrasting combinations. Vocals like that are so spooky in this context. It’s like a horror movie where the villain is too nice to be true, and gives you a creeped-out feeling. As opposed to death metal vocals, which are the just outright threatening kind of scary, these vocals are the creepy/spooky kind of scary. But in another band that wasn’t heavy and with dark themes, they would sound like power pop!
After seeing them live twice and listening to their studio sessions, it's almost hard to hear to listen to the albums! Would love to see a Square Hammer session
the sound of Martin and Simon could never be replicated, That creepy reverb and that little bit of delay gave the intro an impressive aura, not to mention the overdrive on the main riff.

1 year later. You think their lineup now is less skilled? I been around since Meliora and I think they have only gotten better. Also the chemistry on stage is better, probably because there isn't any drama happening in the background anymore.

Am I the only one that thinks this sounds like the poster dubbed the studio version of the recording over the live footage? Ghost sounds good live, but not this good. Papa's vocals are normally a little muffled because of the mask.
