I know, Alpha is really putting on a show here, and Omega has not really gotten the courage to really come out and show his talent here yet, BUT, eventually Omega shines onstage in this ghost lineup.
If you haven't seen it already the 2016 Graspop live show with Ghost performing "spirit", is pretty good too. Maybe NOT as intense as this, but, not bad at all, and Omega gets out there and does his thing in THAT video. I'm not sure if that matters to you as much as it does to me though.
Qotsa37 yes and no, that’s what Tobias says and Martin/Omega says otherwise. Ghost was basically a hybrid of MCC and Subvison Tobias knew Martin and Gustaf (original bassist) for years prior to Ghost so one would think he wouldn’t dick over friends but we will probably never know the whole truth.
Got hooked in 2016-17 or so, but Monstrance Clock (and subsequently, this album) was my introduction. Loving their new stuff, it's super catchy, but there was something special about the way this era sounded.

Alpha is out in front playing HEAVY guitar, BUT, OMEGA is playing those same notes that Alpha is playing, and THAT is WHY it all is so damn intense. There are some videos where Omega is able to really "shine". Like the LIVE performance of "Year zero", BY "Ghost Elisabeth.
I guess you don't know how twin guitar work looks/sounds like. It would be hell of unnecessary if the guitars would play the same notes. All Ghost guitar players with white guitars play lead guitar (solos, melodies, mostly the "higher notes"), the ones with black guitar play rhythm guitar. So they play very different notes

I hate all my friends because no one heared/showed me Ghost in this era and i only found out about them by myself in 2019 with Cardi C. Papa II was so badass and imponent.
I wish they started their shows with this. A couple years ago they at least still did per aspera directly following con clavi which is actually very good as well. Now they’ve removed it completely from their shows. I guess fitting the “Mary on a cross” type songs are more important. RIP to ghosts legendary early tracks. Per aspera… Elizabeth… majesty… spirit etc.

No OG members in ghost anymore other than tobias ofc. The only few that stayed long term during this era were the both guitarist, and keyboardist (2010ish to 2016). They had a few different drummers and bassists during that time. In 2016 all the band left and now they have the lineup they got now, give or take a few members. Nothing beats old school ghost though. the mystigue, the music, the members, the small venues.

Malfeitor Yeah, Aksel’s unique drumming style was one of the biggest things that drew me to Ghost from the beginning. Actually, the whole band was more unique. Now it’s too generic, even though I still live Ghost.
The bassist here is moving all creepy and spooky too, but it seems like Alpha is in the spotlight in this video, and Omega is kind of in the sidelines, BUT, I see him and see his charisma, and will always remember his name. I LOVE OMEGA.
THIS era of GHOST had been the BEST 1. The whole video of this show is so very exciting. IF only now Tobias would realize that his old GHOULS had been really GREAT musicians, an he should NOT have shit all over them. Martin and Simon had been talented musicians. Tobias KNOWS that they can play guitar MUCH BETTER than HE could ever DREAM to. BUT, Tobias can write songs quite well. SO, lets hope that Tobias can write a song or 2 with Simon and/or Martin soon, because it is REALLY about time that GHOST should be coming out with a new song. BUT, perhaps TOBIAS can NOT find a song that has that "hook" like Square hammer' does or like "Cirice" had? Really, Tobias Forge, has to come up with some new songs that will make him new "pop" music songs, and also HE must come up with enough STRONG metal songs, to keep the METAL music fans of GHOST happy also. I May be wrong, BUT, I am THINKING that when Tobias fired Omega and Alpha, HE had basically cut his own throat. Tobias seems to be fine with making songs that are NOT really quite HEAVY metal. BUT, "rats" had been a song that made me think of 1980's rock songs. SO, Tobias Forge NEEDS to be thinking about getting creative with making his next "Hit song":. Because really, some creative "hit song" will most likely, be liked by many people, BUT, those "die hard" Ghost fans, are REALLY going to be scrutinizing the new songs, hell, I will too. BUT, I must say that on "Prequel" that on the ALBUMN version, credit had been given to Martin Persner and Simon Solderberg. Although, as far as I have heard, neither of them had played ANYthing or had even sang a note on "Prequel". BUT, they had ONLY been given credit on the ALBUMN version, so NOT on the CD or whatever OTHER versions of it can be used/purchased now.
I am here again, I just LOVE this video because it all seems to be so exciting. And THIS papa was so odd and spooky looking. I NOW know that white guitar playing Ghoul was "Simon Soderberg". This was Papa 1 I THINK.
The NEW CD by Ghost "IMPERA" or "EMPARA" is a very good CD. And, although I will NOT be mentioning the songs on the CD by name and in order as they are seen on the CD. I will be mentioning those that I like most. And, so I will just have to be mentioning that my favorite songs on the new Ghosts CD';s are "Kaisarion", Spillways, Call me little sunshine, Hunters moon, watcher in the sky, dominion, Twenties, Darkness in the heart of my love, Griftwood, "Bite of passage", REspite on the spitalfeilds, SO basically, every song on the new CD is a song that I LOVE and want to keep on what I can ONLY see as being on MY "PLAYLIST".
That last comment was by ME being VERY DRUNK. Anyway, I just meant that in that video that Omega was in the background, and that Alpha had been in the very FRONT. Omega had been just as talented as Alpha was, but he had been shy, and not so confident until a while longer into his time as a nameless Ghoul. Even though the Ghouls had all been "nameless Ghouls" they did kinda have names. Just not names of who they actually were as human beings on their birth certificates, and stuff like that. Fake names the fans had been calling them and had most likely been given to them by themselves or ???? Anyway, this video is 1 of my ultimate favorite ones of all time. This current lineup of Ghost is going to be all about the LIVE in Argentina 2014. concert. BUT, I will be adding some additional info about some little additions about NEW comments IF they are really either important, or even possibly relavent to the youngest fans of the band Ghost. Ghost is a great band, BUT, I had been put in charge of seeing some great bands having their entitlement of just who is in charge ending up being a total shock. @@Heavyd103 Thanks, I made a note of it so I don't keep asking people the same questions. "Gustav" is a REALLY Swedish name. Possibly also Norweigen, too. maybe even Dutch too. I've never heard the name "Aksel" before though.

Plus, I had NO idea what instruments that Aksel and Gustav had played before you told me, so, thanks:) Until fairly recently, I only knew who the vocalist was, and who Omega was, I LOVE Omega. He is now in a band called MCC, You likely knew that already though.
GHOST were an astonishingly cool and mysterious band back then with amazing well crafter songs and always a slick band live. I was So disappointed in the last album Dance Maccabre is not even close to this level of quality sorry to say!
At 3:03 NAMELESS GHOULS ARE SO FUCKING BADASS! I missed them so much because of those moments. If you prefer Meliora or Popestar era compared to this, you're not a true Ghost fan.
Meliora is their most poppy mainstream album being calibrated for radios with a "sexy" Papa worshipped by groupies and fangirls. None of those would have fallen in love with the band as showcased above back then and yet it was when Ghost was the most powerful as an occult rock band. Now it's just another pop rock act like Imagine Dragons and 30 Seconds To Mars thanks to Tobias Forge's greed and fame whoring. After Popestar, he seems to double down on that mainstream radio FM direction hiring buffoons like Ben Christo as second-tier replacement guitarist compared to Alpha & Omega, to turn the band into a hair metal band parody.

Really, Tobias Forge, has to come up with some new songs that will make him new "pop" music songs, and also HE must come up with enough STRONG metal songs, to keep the METAL music fans of GHOST happy also. I May be wrong, BUT, I am THINKING that when Tobias fired Omega and Alpha, HE had basically cut his own throat. Tobias seems to be fine with making songs that are NOT really quite HEAVY metal. BUT, "rats" had been a song that made me think of 1980's rock songs. SO, Tobias Forge NEEDS to be thinking about getting creative with making his next "Hit song":. Because really, some creative "hit song" will most likely, be liked by many people, BUT, those "die hard" Ghost fans, are REALLY going to be scrutinizing the new songs, hell, I will too. BUT, I must say that on "Prequel" that on the ALBUMN version, credit had been given to Martin Persner and Simon Solderberg. Although, as far as I have heard, neither of them had played ANYthing or had even sang a note on "Prequel".
BUT, they had ONLY been given credit on the ALBUMN version, so NOT on the CD or whatever OTHER versions of it can be used/purchased now.
I am here again, I just LOVE this video because it all seems to be so exciting. And THIS papa was so odd and spooky looking. I NOW know that white guitar playing Ghoul was "Simon Soderberg".

The NEW CD by Ghost "IMPERA" or "EMPARA" is a very good CD. And, although I will NOT be mentioning the songs on the CD by name and in order as they are seen on the CD. I will be mentioning those that I like most. And, so I will just have to be mentioning that my favorite songs on the new Ghosts CD';s are "Kaisarion", Spillways, Call me little sunshine, Hunters moon, watcher in the sky, dominion, Twenties, Darkness in the heart of my love, Griftwood, "Bite of passage", REspite on the spitalfeilds, SO basically, every song on the new CD is a song that I LOVE and want to keep on what I can ONLY see as being on MY "PLAYLIST".
That last comment was by ME being VERY DRUNK. Anyway, I just meant that in that video that Omega was in the background, and that Alpha had been in the very FRONT. Omega had been just as talented as Alpha was, but he had been shy, and not so confident until a while longer into his time as a nameless Ghoul. Even though the Ghouls had all been "nameless Ghouls" they did kinda have names. Just not names of who they actually were as human beings on their birth certificates, and stuff like that. Fake names the fans had been calling them and had most likely been given to them by themselves or ????
Anyway, this video is 1 of my ultimate favorite ones of all time. I just wish that I could make my earphones get LOUDER!!! BUT, seriously, does anybody know where I can buy earphones that will actually get LOUD??? I can't afford to pay alot of money either.

This current lineup of Ghost is going to be all about the LIVE in Argentina 2014. concert. BUT, I will be adding some additional info about some little additions about NEW comments IF they are really either important, or even possibly relavent to the youngest fans of the band Ghost.
Ghost is a great band, BUT, I had been put in charge of seeing some great bands having their entitlement of just who is in charge ending up being a total shock.
SO, I just HAVE to say that for even ME, I am going to need for MY whole damn bits of BULLSHIT of supposed great dealings with happy companies.
IF anybody KNOWS, is it "Rikard" here onstage? Or is it Linton Rubino? And, IF anybody really does KNOW, what instrument is the correct guy playing? I'm GUESSING drums, BUT, I am just guessing of course.
Sorry my last comment had been ME drunk. But, I do want to say that I love old Ghost more than NEW Ghost. BUT, new Ghost is still good. Old Ghost has Martin Persner in it, new Ghost does NOT, BUT, I still like all of "Prequel" and I have purchased the new CD by ghost "Empera" I think. I have ONLY heard "Hunters moon", "Little sunshine" and "spillways" so far. But, once I get it unwrapped and can play it in my cars CD player a few times, I will THEN know just which songs are my favorites.
But, I really do LOVE the song and video above, this LIVE in Argentina 2014 performance of "INFESTISSUMAM/ Per Aspera ad inferi", it is just SO LIVELY and "intense".
I have heard all of the CD "Empera" or is it "Impera?" BUT, it is a GREAT new CD by Ghost, and it is best to be seen as a NEW music effort by Ghost.
Sure, it will most likely be seen as a subject matter that will be about some not so important things to some other family members of whomever in this family sure as hell have some GOOD reasons to want to see any bits and pieces about when I had ended up making sure that I had made up my very own "Fantasy land".
And, that had all ended up being basically ME, and a few friends of mine.

@@Heavyd103 Okay, I had most of that written down, I just hadn't seen what the last name of "Gustav" is. Plus, I had NO idea what instruments that Aksel and Gustav had played before you told me, so, thanks:) Until fairly recently, I only knew who the vocalist was, and who Omega was, I LOVE Omega. He is now in a band called MCC, You likely knew that already though.
Is Gustav on bass here? And, Rikard on drums? Or maybe Aksel on drums?

GHOST were an astonishingly cool and mysterious band back then with amazing well crafter songs and always a slick band live. I was So disappointed in the last album Dance Maccabre is not even close to this level of quality sorry to say!

Meliora is their most poppy mainstream album being calibrated for radios with a "sexy" Papa worshipped by groupies and fangirls. None of those would have fallen in love with the band as showcased above back then and yet it was when Ghost was the most powerful as an occult rock band.
Now it's just another pop rock act like Imagine Dragons and 30 Seconds To Mars thanks to Tobias Forge's greed and fame whoring. After Popestar, he seems to double down on that mainstream radio FM direction hiring buffoons like Ben Christo as second-tier replacement guitarist compared to Alpha & Omega, to turn the band into a hair metal band parody.
