Correction: To be clear; at 4:24 Rogan was pointing out that diaz had been in a lot of tough fights, while Megan talked about who diaz had fought (not necissarily won against). While editing stuff got mixed up pretty fast, and now it sure sounds like diaz won against all of the three mentioned. He only won against Cerrone. I did not notice this before after the video was uploaded.

In 2016, McGregor met Diaz at UFC 196. Diaz won by submission with 48 seconds left in the second round. Five months later at UFC 202, the 'Notorious' won by decision in one of the fights of the year, but the question remains - who will be McGregor's next opponent?
It was reported last year that the trilogy would apparently take place in Las Vegas, a perfect way to end a spectacular trio of bouts, via The Independent, but that never happened.
It looks like McGregor has got his eyes on Nate Diaz, as mentioned previously, but he's not short of challengers.
Conor and Nate share one victory each, and previously expressed their interest in a trilogy fight. Conor will have to wait in line for another title shot. And if he doesn’t face ‘Cowboy’ next, the fans would definitely want to see McGregor fighting Diaz again.
The Irish fighter told the UFC to book the bout against Diaz for the upcoming event on May 11 at Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Brazil.
He said the following on Twitter: "Book it. I'll fight Nate on it."

The last place Conner wants to be is on the ground with Nate, hell he proved that in the 2nd fight. He had many chances to try to ground & pound Nate after knocking him down but had better sense than to go to the ground with him. A 3rd fight would be trading punches on their feet unless Nate can knock him down and jump on him like the first fight. Conner would need a decision like the second fight after 5 hard fought rounds to win. Should be a good fight when it happens and I think it will happen down the road at some point.

I’m afraid this would not have a main event. Main card, three 25 min fights, all PPV money goes to Conor cause... you know. And it can end with Khabib flying out of/into the octagon for Conor and gets slapped on the side of the cage before they get into a brawl for 10 seconds ending with Dillon Danis getting accidentally knocked out.

you must not be a real lover of the sport and never trained cause diaz is better and won both fights. Mctapout gave him a good fight but we all know who would win every single time. Mctapout has no cardio and no stamina. diaz has been fighting in the ufc before it became big before money was the focus point. Bro McGregor dropped Nate multiple times in the second fight and straight up busted homeboy's face, close fight but McGregor did win. Also Diaz's record is one of the worst in UFC history, and connor has no jitsu or wrestling, they're both not top level anymore, and can't hang with guys like Khabib or Holloway so a trilogy not only makes sense, but we still don't know who's truly better out of the two of them. @@maisyndiaz2470

McGregor needs to start re-building his stock as a "UFC Fighter", rather than constantly associating himself with petty crimes, arrests etc by getting on a routine of fighting as frequently as possible, much like Jon Jones is now doing for himself to rehabilitate himself from the mistakes of the past.
