- If you could only have ONE organizing product, what would it be?
This question may sound impossible to answer, especially if you’re like me and slightly obsessed with organization hacks. But what if I told you I DID have an answer? If you haven’t heard me talk about them before, multi-purpose bins from the Container Store are my go-to organizing product. Watch the video to learn why!

First time I see items from the container store. I like that the containers give and aren’t too rigid
Yes, that is a helpful feature.
These are hands down the best product ever made! I have all sizes in my pantry and 2 freezers, underneath the sink, bathrooms, laundry, everywhere!!! Labeling works out for me on each side or them or front and back. The only thing I do not put in them is file folders! Go figure! LOL Thanks for sharing!
I use these for my gift wrap supplies. They are great!
I really like those bins. Gets me thinking. My favorite bin is also from the container store. I live in a small apartment and do not have storage anywhere for my "office" so use the Bigso Black Woodgrain Storage Box (large). It fits 8X11 poly folders, and books, notebooks, staplers, and all of my office supplies. I leave it next to my table when I'm working. When I'm done, I tuck everything right back in it's place. It's a little pricey but I've seen some less expensive ones at the container store as well. The point is the big box that fits everything and looks nice with my decor and doesn't show "my office" all over the place.
I love that idea!
I love the handwriting on your storage containers on the bookshelf behind you.
I learned how to do this in one of the Organizing HQ sessions! (Day 1 I believe). It's actually pretty easy!
Thank you - I cut the labels out with my Cricut or Silhouette machine.
I also love these bins. I use them in my craft room, pantry, and other closets.
I'm just getting started. But I do love my new desk organizer from Erin Condren. It was the best place to get started. I'm definitely getting some of these containers for my hall closet! Thank you Laura!
Yay! Can't wait to see how you use them.
Really Useful Boxes are my favorite organizers/storage options. 🧡
Hi Laura, I'm new to your channel, too (from Organizing HQ!). I love how you think of everything in this video! Great details and ideas.
Oh thank you!
New to your channel. Your voice is so soothing 😊.
I use " I design bins" in my craft room. I have loved these as the Avery bags fit well, that I have stored my stamps and dies in. They fit my IKEA KALLAX shelving perfecting. They are hard plastic so they don't give. I also use quite a few Longaberger baskets to hold my items in.
I love your videos, thank you for your hard work!!! Unfortunately it seems the container store has run out of them. Hopefully they will restock.
My favorite organizing box are plastic shoebox containers--they're just the right size to store other items. And they fit in my limited storage space.
Yes, those are another favorite of mine.
Me too!
I actually love the MDesifn bins because they are the sturdier plastic. I use then in the fridge and cabinets
This could help me finally organize my sheets in my linen closet, one set of sheets in each container!
Terrific idea!!
My label maker - there is a large selection of fonts and sizes/widths. In my clutter mine disappeared so I went and got a 2nd one. During a decluttering period I found my original archival label maker.
Hilda Peralta I love a good label and my PT Touch Label Maker too!
I use these in my freezers!
Me too!
That's a great idea!
Angie Wright Really? How do you use these in the frig??
Leslie Limardo I have a side-by-side refrigerator with the freezer in the bottom of my refrigerator. I put 4 of the large, wide bins in my bottom freezer, one each for: Beef & Pork/Poultry/Fish/Vegetables. There is more room also to stock other things, which I do, but there is not enough room there to fit a bin. I also have a wide, narrower bin that came with my freezer in the front of my bottom freezer where I keep some TV dinners and frozen butter. In the freezer section (above bottom freezer), I have 5 shorter, metal magazine holders (these plastic bins were too tall for that area): 1 Extra-Wide; 2 Narrow; and 2 Medium-Wide where I keep such things as ice cream, ice packs, “cooler” lunch bags, etc. I also have my refrigerator section filled with various sizes and shapes of those plastic refrigerator bins from the Container Store (but you can get them elsewhere also, like Bed, Bath, and Beyond). I divided those up into various categories also, i.e., Defrost Meat Bin; Wholly Guacamole Bin; Uncooked Eggs; Hard-Boiled Eggs; Supplements; Coffee; Pickles; Packaged Tunafish & Canned Turkey and Chicken; Wholly Avocado; Ruby Red Grapefruits. Other sections in my refrigerator hold jugs of water; Dasani Bottled Water; bottled drinks, a Carton of Egg Whites. Right-side door of my refrigerator holds: Butter (Top) /Jam, Jelly, bottled sauces, cartons of broth (Middle)/Milk, Cream Cheese, Fresh Parmesan Cheese Bottom). Left-Side Door of my refrigerator holds: Olives and Lemon Juice (top) / Juice & Bottled Drinks (Middle) / Mayo, Mustard, Ketchup, Tabasco Sauce, Liquid Stevia (bottom).
Hi! I’m new to your channel! I’m looking for desk organizer for a dark wood desk . Country style
We don't have the container store in Canada, so I tried putting some things in my cart to see what the shipping would cost. Yeah....for five small, three large, and three extra large bins, the cost was almost $80. Not too terribly bad, but the shipping was $50!! I'll have to look for something similar a little closer to home.
Love your videos.. do you have any suggestions for 12x12 scrapbook paper, love these bins but they are not big enough for that paper, I have the 13x13 cubes from Hobby Lobby but they are "flimsy" when I try to move them around my craft room and take them to crops.
Any suggestions, it's been a big struggle for awhile now.
Can an index card (3x5, 4x6, 5x7, or custom size) be clear duck taped over holes, so they can be labeled?
MissK Hogmire or placed beneath the handle holes. I type my labels in large print on my computer, print out on printer paper, cut-to-size, and apply with clear, wide tape.
Laura mentioned using one of these in her car. I currently have a large cloth bag with pockets, etc in it for my car, but I rarely use it because I forget what's in it, or it's not handy..... I don't know. She got me thinking that maybe I need a different kind of bin/system. Any recommendations?
I've used photo storage boxes in the car so things are more subcategorized.
Laura Smith would you mind giving us a picture of what you mean about using photo storage boxes for storage in your car?
Could you put a large number on them? And Index the numbers somewhere?
For products that come with stickers, have you thought of covering them up with cute stickers or Washi tape, (maybe covered with clear duck tape)?
MissK Hogmire Goo Gone works wonders for removing tough labels.
@@ktortora611 I will have to try Goo Gone next time I want to remove a label, thanks 😊
what’s the best way to remove the stickers
oil
Where did you get your poly envelopes?
I got them off of Amazon. There's a link to them right below the video.
I like the bins but the container store is too expensive for my budget!
Luz Berenguer Catch them when they’re on sale. Just check their website weekly to find out what’s on sale that week.
