The stiff most likely isn’t in any demand or anything, so you have to account for how hard it is to sell. At that point 250 is a solid deal if he was looking to just get rid of that stuff.
As a collector i know i wouldnt pay more than 50 for everything. It was all junk thats why he had so much. Noone wants. Those potter figs. Cup head is as overhyped as cyberpunk. Marvel bobble head come on. This guy should stick to what he knows.
Marvel legends. Dc. Mcfarlane. Transformers and 90 and down vintage and hot wheels what else is hot right now. Not that crap. Legos are good but those are the cheapest grab bags that go for like 3 bucks all day on ebay
He's like: "I'll sit outside all day long, I get to be away from the wife the whole time." Cincinnati picker: "I'll buy everything from you". The guy: "crap, 15 minutes and I'm done. How am I going to stay away from the wife now?"
250 was a good deal on his end. Think about how long he'd have sat there his whole day trying to sell that stuff. 5 hours of your time doing that has to be worth a good discount
It's so easy to undervalue your stuff and time. Yeah, he sold it all in 5 minutes and saved 5 hours sitting there. But, think of how much time and gas he spent looking and shopping for all this stuff. He had $500 worth of stuff and the face to face haggling got the best of him. Having said that, he's living in a $400K house, so he's doing all right!
imagine being the neighbor that prepared and set everything out to see your unprepared neighbor sell everything to one person in 4 minutes and then coming to your garage sale and only buying a couple signs 🤦
I never go to garage sales, but went to one this weekend and for two brand new pairs of shoes. They were $120 each on eBay and I got them for $20 each. Felt pretty good!
Then he’s going to turn around and sell them for $45 a piece I would understand if the figures and stuff was already opened But $5 for stuff still packaged? You scalped that man
and your point is? the seller even brought up the higher priced lego sets were selling for a lot on Ebay, if he wanted to could have sold them himself for that price, but he didn't ?
It was easy for him to sell all at once instead of trying to sell it all on ebay which cold take a lot of time and he would have to package everything and ship it. He probably didn't feel like doing all that
During times like these, I love to watch videos like yours. I love garage sales, and I love hearing about people getting a good score. Good luck to you!
I used to work at Target in electronics/toys area, that first guy seems like the type of guy that comes in and checks the clearance everyday. He probably got all that stuff at like 50-70% off.
Bruh, he originally gave you like 100$ off and you're still trying to haggle another 75 off? Dude, you should be giving him more for it. Poor guy probably didn't even wanna sell his stuff, then here you are selling it at a 3-5x markup on ebay lol
Have you ever sold things for a living? It's not easy. You need to make 3 to 5 times what you pay at least to cover fees and also because not everything you buy sells.
@@rickmiles5297 He was doing it for a video, got 4.9 million views(approx $15k for just this video if it's monetized) and you're concerned about the guy buying all his stuff for a video? lol, you're not concerned about the poor guy he screwed over who was already giving him a good deal?
When the man was calculating, I was thinking in my head... "yeah all that stuff has got to be like $600 so might as well throw the first offer at $500". Then he says $275 and I started screaming at my phone. Sucks when people don't know their own worth. Picker would've probably counter offerred $400 and that would've been a great sale on both ends.

@POOR PAH TV I see two grown men agreeing on a price. Didn't see any bullying. He's the one who put the stuff up for sale at the end of the driveway. Nobody is going to pay retail for all of that stuff. When you sell something, even if it is new, the price drops. You can buy a brand new car off from a lot with 15 miles on it and take it somewhere else to try to sell it for what you bought it for. Even another dealer of the same company down the street won't pay what you paid for it from the first dealer. He could list all of that on Ebay and sell it himself, but didn't want to. He also made a comment that if he sold all of it, he wouldn't have to pack it up and take it back in. That shows his motivation, it's about zero. He says he's a dealer...all of that stuff is taking up room in the house.
Good day , i'm not from the U.S. , is there a time where people have yard sales (like a holiday or something) or is it random ? how do you know it's on
"I don't know why he brought it out if he didn't want to sell it." He wants to sell it, to someone who knows what it is worth and isn't going to low-ball him with a crappy offer. He did the right thing by not caving in to someone whose goal was to screw him over.
Crappy offer? You have to have to be joking, the guy was asking him for a price.. The seller came up with a price and the buyer tried getting it cheaper. So no he wasnt giving a crappy offer and it was the sellers fault for going down 100 bucks without the buyer even saying anything..
@@ReneRosa ofcourse he would just trying more down the seller is a grown man he should have done some more research, and why woudnt he try buying the lego packs? He told him he wanted to buy everything
250 was an excellent price, I felt like he was really trying to bop the first dude. If he was going by 5 a piece or even 10 like he said for some then 250 was a great deal, for the picker guy to try and get it lower than that would of irritated me to where I would of raised it to 300. I think he bopped him especially when he'll end up tripling his money on this deal.
That's why you should make an offer first, and then just stick with it. Depends on whose selling though, with some people - you haggle. With others, they want the money for drugs, so you stick to your lowball offer, and the offer goes down the longer they take to decide.
So i've seen a few of these yard sale videos. Besides the fact that we don't have that over here, it looks like quite a few Americans have sealed collections of you name it. Figurines, cards, toys. How come? How do they get it and why do they sell it? Seems so random.

whats wrong with trying to get a lower price
@POOR PAH TV the person who sold it to him chose to do that, its called bargaining look it up
@POOR PAH TV I see two grown men agreeing on a price.
