Vince, what an absolute gem! How kind of you to take time to engage with him. I know it was a pleasure for you both. Thank you for sharing with us. Great scores!
That was the most enjoyable garage sale video I’ve ever watched. Vince really enjoyed talking to you And I really enjoyed listening to you both. Thank you
Awesome garage sales. Great score on the jerseys and baseball cards but the best part was Vincent's history. Loved the conversation! Those saddles were beautiful to say the least. The findings on the flute was cool as well. You had a great day John! Blessings
nice finds.. the crosby stills nash blanket is the design they used for a bill graham poster for a show at the fillmore back in the day. I had a similar experience at a garage sale a few years back, ended up spending 1K for about 100 records, since its something i specialize in I knew it was a great buy, but same thing talked for an hour, the stuff was not really part of the sale but on a tip from a buddy he had told me the guy would sell it just had to be for real money.
What a sweet man, Vince. You were so kind to give him your time, but I could see you were truly interested in what he had to say. That man has some great stories.
Vince reminds me of the old Italians from where I grew up in San Jose. Even my dad. The baseball stuff is cool but I was yelling to pick up the clock. New in the box they do pretty well. I went yard sailing for the first time in a while. I was at an estate sale in an area where there were a bunch of sales. I liked the Washingtonians, they were ready for the rain (it sprinkled). I like talking to some of the folks.
I can’t believe how lucky you got with that sale. I have been researching cards and collecting recently. You made your money back easy on those cards alone. No telling what the jerseys that are signed will bring too. There are some really serious collectors out there where the sky is the limit. Good luck to you. You are always so polite to people. It is really nice to see.
What a find, when I was living in Cincy I always came across a lot of great baseball memorabilia, the collectors where everywhere and I acquired plenty of vintage cards. I had that exact same Mantle card and mine too was tampered with.
Hi CP, I SO HAPPY THAT YOU HAD AN AWESOME DAY. I'M SO THANKFUL YOU ALLOWED YOURSELF TIME TO VISIT WITH MR VINCE. YOUR VOICE EVEN SOUNDED HAPPY. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR FANTASTIC DAY OF PICKING. 👍
Best money you ever spent! Hope you got the framed pictures too. My hubby would have told you, like he did, talk to my wife, or hit the road everything is priced to sell.
Hey those vintage cards that are in the screw downs are great. But I’d suggest pulling them out. A lot of times the screw down puts too much pressure on them making the cards thinner over time. Great find!!
Wow John ! Vince was really nice. I'm sorry your GoPro died. I wished you could have a video just talking to him as well. Stick ya a battery in your pocket and cable it up for the extra power time cause the sales are booming since it is getting nicer out there. I always loved the vintage Astro jerseys even though I dont follow them as my team (Go Reds! hard weekend 😪) Think you will get any of the cards graded? I know some might not be worth it not but gotta have one or two in there that are poppin ! Keep taking us with you and be safe!
Gr8 yard/garage sale finds John..😍😮 Love the Jersey lot you got from the man..🤗 I thought Hodges managed the NY Mets?🤔🙄 The Nolan Ryan signed jersey and the vintage striped Houston jersey are excellent..🎉 Congrats on the cards too.. Take care man..👍❤🔥🤙
Really nice haul with some cool stuff, that gumball machine is it a real one? if so it was very cheap. Always nice to be lucky and find nice stuff for a low price, or to find a collection of something neat to buy in one go. Yesterday i went to a yard sale, found some old dinky and corgi toys for 1 euro each plus four old USA licence plates for 15 euros.
@@cincinnatipicker Ah thats really neat, a really lucky find. Yes i did indeed, it was a rainy day so not as much people selling things as it would with good sunny weather. But i am happy with what i found, you never know what you find on these markets and that makes it exciting to visit any one of these yesradsales/garagesales and fleamarkets alike.
You scored big time! But you are correct in thinking the '53 Mantle is a reprint. The original should read on the very bottom: Made in U.S.A. & right above it should read: John Morrell & Co. I think what you got is an altered version of the 1991 reprints.
I hope you double or triple your money at Vince’s garage sale! I’m glad you got to visit with him for awhile and heard some great stories! I bet his wife wasn’t too happy he wasn’t really wanting to sell much!
This is a perfect example of how knowledge of items is important! I have some knowledge of some things which has paid well. John has knowledge of this stuff right here. I am positive this is a great score, but I would be like huh? LOL
Wow, those are the needle in a haystack type collections to find. Where was the Hodges piece he asked her to find? Are these going on whatnot, I’m a buyer on a few!
Great video Brother. Totally Cooled-Out awesomeness You meet that Man and bought some Neat'O stuff from. Thanks always for sharing Your passion and adventures from Toronto Ontario Canada 😎👍❤️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️💯💯💯💯💯
We've all experienced it. You cannot get them all. There's been times that I was the first one but I didn't look carefully and spmeone else grabs it. That's how it is most of the time. You just shrug it off and go to the next one 🙂.
I used to own that stupid bird clock about 25 years ago and I had it in my bathroom and it didn't last very long. I guess because of the humidity. Every hour on the hour it would make a different bird sound and after a while. It would just go "eh" and that was it, so it got really annoying.
Hey John I just have to ask you if that Flute is made out of Sterling Silver ??? The Reason I am asking is because I sold one that was Marked Sterling Silver to a gold and Silver Bullion Store for pretty Good Money....... If it is made out of Sterling it will be marked on the pieces of the Flute.
What a cool guy Vince was!!! I bet he could tell stories forever. Let me know when you start to sell some of his sports cards as I'd be interested in picking a few up.
Hi i’m from somewhere in this world where garage sale is not really a thing here. I’m really curious on how are these thing setup? Like is there a certain day the neighbourhood decides when to do a garage sale? How do these owners let others know that they are doing a garage sale? Or people just randomly drop by? I would like to know more on this cause it is interesting to me Share what you know :)
John, I know that you know cards but just in case, get those older cards out of the screw down cases especially if you want to grade them. Those screw down cases are so tight that psa will say they are altered thinking that they were pressed. I’m sure there are videos on getting them to regain their original thickness. Just speaking from experience
I'm surprised you didn't look at that taylor swift box thing. Not sure about that specific item but it seemed like it would be sought after. Even her brand new stuff is inflating exponentially in value it's crazy.
I used to have a bunch of the 55 Bowman tv cards. I had all the big stars but i was a big nascar fan so I traded them for a bunch of nascar items like autographs and such. Now I wish I had them cause they were in pretty good shape. They were in my grandparents house in a box til the early 80s
So he used to pitch or almost was in the majors? I was watching this without to very little volume. John do you know Kevin Sargent? I guess he used to play for the bengals. I delivered something to him for work and said he used to play for them. Made me think of ya. Great videos as always!
Vince, what an absolute gem! How kind of you to take time to engage with him. I know it was a pleasure for you both. Thank you for sharing with us. Great scores!
He’s a great guy, so many good stories. He’s lived an incredible life
I appreciate you listening to the older man and letting him share some of his story! It was cool to watch and hear about.
Love your videos.
yeah kinda sad but still interesting
That was the most enjoyable garage sale video I’ve ever watched. Vince really enjoyed talking to you
And I really enjoyed listening to you both. Thank you
'I don't know why I'm out here, but I am' 🤣 John, I am your time spent with Vince was priceless.
He was cracking me up 😂
Interaction with Vince was priceless!!!
Dude I love that you are so honest about when you screw up or make a bad pick. Really sets you apart from some who only show the "Best ever" buys
I’m not afraid to admit when I screw up, which is fairly often 😂
You and froggy, I can watch you guys all night lol. Why do I love yard sale videos so much lol. So calming too
That was a great collection you were able to buy. That was great that you were able to get to hear his stories.
Awesome garage sales. Great score on the jerseys and baseball cards but the best part was Vincent's history. Loved the conversation! Those saddles were beautiful to say the least. The findings on the flute was cool as well. You had a great day John! Blessings
Glad you grabbed the student flute!...this was a great video. My favorite part of picking is meeting folks.

My ex-boyfriend left all his original records (he went to jail), I kept them for years then sold them for $$$ (probably forgot I had them).
What a sweet man, Vince. You were so kind to give him your time, but I could see you were truly interested in what he had to say. That man has some great stories.
Vince's story was incredible. Would have been the perfect year for the Nolan Ryan signature to be on a Ranger's jersey! Great video.
The wife don't have anymore patience for this 😂😂
I can’t believe how lucky you got with that sale. I have been researching cards and collecting recently. You made your money back easy on those cards alone. I appreciate the kind words and thanks so much for watching :)
This is now one of my favorite garage sale videos! Thank you for sharing!!
Thanks so much for watching!

Vince needed someone he could trust and he found you! Excellent work.

Thanks so much for watching Deanna!
Right off the bat, the stuff is well organized, clean and looks inviting. A good stop....
Great haul, a lot of nice things with great values.
Best money you ever spent! Hope you got the framed pictures too. My hubby would have told you, like he did, talk to my wife, or hit the road everything is priced to sell.

It really was!
It sounds like the conversation was worth a good bit. What an amazing man and find.

Yay! What a treat. A full length CP video to start my day. 😊
I’ve just found your channel .I must say your a really nice man ,lv from ukAnn🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the kind words, Ann!
Super nice haul John. I think the most I ever paid at a single garage sale was 2 or 3 hundred.
The pitcher's introspection was really captivating, he really enjoyed your company. You did good.
High end neighborhood. Everyone has 3 or 4 car garages. 🤔
literally dying at the Taylor Swift Reputation Box just sitting there so casually 😭
Wow I just looked this up…I saw sold comps from $100-$600! SHEESH
Thank you so much for the bolo. I would have missed it also. Lol
saaaameee!!! I was screaming through the screen he should buy it (so i could buy it lol)
Wonderful! Vince was cool. I thought Gil managed the Mets.
Yep, I always do an initial scan of a garage sale to find the obvious items.
What a haul. Do they do anything but shop? There are so many in box, never opened items.
Loved the interaction with Vince..
Are you going to list the cards on Ebay?
Really nice haul with some cool stuff, that gumball machine is it a real one? if so it was very cheap. Yep, it’s a real vintage metal one. Sounds like you had some good finds too!

You’re absolutely right!
Wow, those are the needle in a haystack type collections to find. Where was the Hodges piece he asked her to find? Are these going on whatnot, I’m a buyer on a few!
Yup! Starting on whatnot tonight at 8pm est. the Hodges piece was just something he wanted to show me, it wasn’t for sale
Loved Vince. I bet that he had a ton of stories. As a lifelong Yankee fan, whether he was there a minute or years.....he is a Yankee to me.
Mets, not Yankees
Would love to see you go through all the cards in your other channel! Love to see how much each are worth!
1st time viewer. Think it's very neat that you wish the sellers a good sale.
He probably enjoyed your company too!
john , great pick up at the end . I'm surprised you passed on that beer pong champion belt buckle at that first table ( just kidding ) .
Wow great haul - love the vintage mantles / etc
Cool pick ups from Vince. Thats a better lucky score then the controllers you missed out on. 👍
Gee that’s fun. I think the stories were just as valuable as the stories. A one in a lifetime encounter.
lol waiting for you to say how much it was , then realized it’s in the tittle😂😂😂😂
We will be having an estate sale on June 8th and 9th in Manchester OH. My grandparents collected antiques and jewelry
What a great guy Vince is, he looks like he should be in the Sopranos with Tony
Is all these yard sales in one day
That Mantle Red Heart is a reprint, but looks like you got some other great vintage cards.
Wow on the Barbie Doll! I google lensed it a someone on Poshmark was asking $415 - sold! Another on eBay $280!
Take the cards out of the screw down cases very carefully. They will stick to the case after time. Nice finds, congrats!!
Good advice!

solo en estados unidos podes ver algo asi
I loved the story Vince talked about baseball. Great finds!!!! Did you see a Kirby Puckett or Kent Hrbek baseball card?
Haven’t seen any in there yet but I’m still digging through them
North Face!= Pleeeeeeease!! How about some HURLEY!! I buy Rock n Roll Vintage Concert T-Shirts Bro!!
How’s the real estate 🏡 gig going ? Do you have a separate channel ?
great collection buy! gotta hope there aren't many more reprints because some of those vintage ones can do big money!
I used to own that stupid bird clock about 25 years ago and I had it in my bathroom and it didn't last very long. I guess because of the humidity. Every hour on the hour it would make a different bird sound and after a while. It would just go "eh" and that was it, so it got really annoying.
Hey John
I just have to ask you if that Flute is made out of Sterling Silver ??? The Reason I am asking is because I sold one that was Marked Sterling Silver to a gold and Silver Bullion Store for pretty Good Money....... If it is made out of Sterling it will be marked on the pieces of the Flute.
I don't think it is but I'll check! Thanks for the tip!
John, it would be great if you did a vid just on what you found out about all those cards so we get an idea how good a deal it was.
Go back and get that Taylor Swift VIP box at 3:46!
I wanted it but someone beat me to it! They paid for it and came back later for it
What a cool guy Vince was!!! I bet he could tell stories forever. Let me know when you start to sell some of his sports cards as I'd be interested in picking a few up.
Running a bunch tonight at 8pm est on whatnot, come hang out!
@@cincinnatipicker drats, I'm not a Whatnot kinda guy.
Great finds, love the jerseys, hope you are doing well John.
Nice old duffer, but Hodges had no connection to the Yankees. I'll attribute his confusion to age.
Is the blanket available for sale?
john, you left that ralph lauren Polo Sport shirt behind it fetch around 25-40$ and the blue polo shirt was 20-35$

That Crosby stills and Nash blanket is amazing. Where’s it going to be for sale? I’m in the UK but would love that!!
Already sold it I’m sorry!
Missed a deal on the saddle
That’s a nice haul right there. I would be very surprised if you don’t get 5k for all that pieced out.
Love the longer videos
Dang up there yall got some great yard sales
The lady seemed annoyed that he didnt buy the saddles
Did you buy any of the sealed packs of cards?
No, I passed, it was all junk wax :(
Do you have any Woodie Fryman baseball cards ??
Haven’t seen any yet!
I used to have a bunch of the 55 Bowman tv cards. I had all the big stars but i was a big nascar fan so I traded them for a bunch of nascar items like autographs and such. Now I wish I had them cause they were in pretty good shape. They were in my grandparents house in a box til the early 80s
John is the great negotiater.you rule.good luck with the sale lol
Thanks Adam!
What an amazing video you scored literal home runs here especially with the baseball collection
What a killer deal on that stuff. You’ll make that back in a small stack of cards. Especially the mantles.
I just did the same thing lol. No Regerts
So he used to pitch or almost was in the majors? I was watching this without to very little volume. John do you know Kevin Sargent? I guess he used to play for the bengals. I delivered something to him for work and said he used to play for them. Made me think of ya. Great videos as always!
Haven’t heard of him but I’ll look him up!
Good luck with your sale!
Those vintage cards in the screwdowns get flattened over time and PSA won't grade them. They will come back "ALTERED".
So that old man was a pro baseball player? Why didnt you get his name?
I've been looking at homes in the country with stars on them, like the one in the window. Do u know what that stands for??
Curious why he didn’t say what year he pitched for the Yankees.
He never officially played for them
Vince seemed like a great guy but he definitely seemed sad when talking about the older stories was that the vibe you got ?
Yeah, he was definitely reflecting on what could have been with his baseball career
Not me screaming at the Reputation Stadium Tour Box. They sell for over 1k on Ebay 🤩
I missed it by 10 seconds! Lady in front of me bought it and left it there while she was looking around
