Thanks Yogita for the guidance and support. All the 4 videos where insightful and thought provoking at the same time. Awesome!
Thank you, Yogita! :-)
Hi Yogita it would be great if you can make a video in future on what courses you took, with a short review
Hi Yogita, thanks for all this information, would love to know your experience in the OMSCS program
Tanks for sharing! What documents should we provide to the school besides the grades?
Mam can you create a video on system design of a online ide / online judge (like a remote code execution engine)
Hi Yogita, thank you for the info. Please let us know what courses you took for each sem, it will be very helpful for us .
Hi! Thank you for this video. I just wanted to ask that if I get LPR(currently in the process of getting it) while I’m OMCS student, will it make it easy for me to transfer on campus?
@sudoCODE Could you please share the courses your husband did from NPTEL to get admission for the people like me who are not from CS background?
Can you talk about the subjects which we can choose for online and which to choose out of 4 electives
Can you give an insight on placements after the degree?!
Hi mam,
I am following your youtube channel sudoCode. It's really great. Especially the system design playlist is awesome and easily consumable. I am preparing for data architecture exam, I haven't worked or I don't know about database. Can you please suggest some good books and courses on database architecture, modelling and design? Thanks in advance
Where can a learn database pl/sql from basics/ fundamentals to advanced level?
Will i get stem opt after transferring?
Mam I have some questions, can I email them to you? Or some other platform
Hi Yogita,
What if I already live and work in the US under a nonimmigrant visa, but I'm interested in applying for the masters? I'm mean I don't think I could work and attend to on campus classes but could I have the option to study online with the benefit on saving money for the course, or this option applies only for abroad students? If you are online student and switch to on campus, what about tuition, do you still pay the same amount of money? Thank you.
You can opt for online and you will save money. Even from US you can apply. If you transfer on campus then fee would be high.
😎
Hello yogita! again, unable to find anything about the oncampus fee structure.. can you mention how the fee structure changes if we transfer in your next part in the series? thank you!
Fees on campus is higher than online. It would cost around 20k - 30k usd.
@@sudocode alrighttt, thanks for responding!!
Hi Yogita, could you recommend any alternatives to OMSCS
Not sure but I have heard Harvard extension and MIT ocw are good as well.
After online ms from Georgia tech , they offer online phd also???
#50k soon thanks sudocode
Everyone, I just wanted to inform you as someone who engaged in a discussion with the director and the advisor of the program, the on-campus transfer procedure is not a certainty at all.
The director of the on-campus MS.CS will review your application and his/her decision is the final process. Lots of people with perfect scores get rejected all the time. I was given a statistical estimate regarding the procedure. It's practically the same as applying again with the director reviewing your application directly without an admission committee.
This lady in the video has evidently not applied to transfer. You can request to transfer after completing just one course. But, the director will reject your application immediately unless you studied CS at IIT Delhi or something.
Good luck and don't join the online program expecting to transfer. It has a 93% rejection rate as the on-campus director compares your profile with the other applicants to assess if they can allot you a seat.
As a matter of fact I did apply to transfer and my application got accepted. Three of my fellow peers transferred. I have mentioned repeatedly that on campus transfer is not guaranteed and do not apply to online in hopes of getting transferred. The 93% rejection rate should be backed by data or some statistics. Since, I don’t have that data I have not shared a number. If you have access to internal records which prove 93% rejection rate, please do share. I have empathy for you getting rejected but my comments section is not a place to take out that anger. They have Reddit for the same. Peace.
@@sudocode Thanks for clarifying. So did you eventually accept it? I am also on OMSCS, and thinking of applying for a campus transfer. Still hesitant on whether it is worth it....
