I studied computer science in undergrad but really shat the bed in terms of grades due to undisclosed ADHD. Since I got medicated I did a little better but I started taking non degree graduate cs courses to boost my resume. Hope that works 🤞

I recently applied for the OMSCS. With my background I don't see why I wont get in but still have a lingering fear I will get rejected. LOL. Thanks for sharing the amount of time you took to prep for the program. I have a degree in Computer Information systems and have worked for many years in Tech but I am setting aside time to back fill any knowledge gaps even before I know I am accepted. Its good for people to hear how much time it takes to truly have a solid understanding of the material. Keep it up.

It appears being rejected means they send a death ninja squad after you

I hope I get in. I applied for the Spring 2025 cohort. I have a BSCS from WGU and 9+ years of experience.

I hope all this studying pays off. I need a break. Now.

I heard about OMSCS, looking into UT though for an online degree.

Nowadays everyone is getting in. There is no exclusivity factor left in omscs

I like online education, more than a real campus.

I'm about to graduate, just got my last grade for GA. Your last upload was 2 years ago? How are you doing? Everything OK?

I have 1 year full-time professional experience as a .NET Backend developer. I am a self-taught programmer, with a Bachelor in Economics & Business Administration and a Master's in Finance. My grades are not great, not bad, pretty average around a 3.0 GPA. I don't have any CS courses under my belt. I am considering brushing up on math, and then taking the Data Structures & Algorithms course that GT recommends. Do you think I would have a chance at admission + getting through the degree?

Can you link or name the courses in GT's curriculum? Would really help me review the syllabus.
Also, thank you for your videos!

Only the ones with an asterisk are currently being offered:

Did you have letters of recommendation??? How to get them if you are working in a non-related field, coming from a non-related degree?

I'm an applied computational mathematics major with CS minor from California university. I think i will probably be able to get in...but I have to ask is this the same diploma as the one in person? Are these online masters treated equally as inperson to employers and other academic institutions?

Does Georgia tech provide career fair or placement assistance for OMSCS students

Technically yes, you are a GT student, but it's nothing compared to being on-campus. Local students have the advantage of doing OMSCS and being able to go on campus.
