I lost my beautiful wife last year, I had a calling to visit the family grave, for some reason I sang this brilliant song at the top of my voice!
As long as you got peace from it
I lost my beautiful girl also last year.. Not a day passes I don't think of her.. She was perfect..I'm so sorry for your loss. Its so painful
The Bible book of Revelation holds out a promise for us who have lost loved ones in chapter 24 verse 3&4 thankfully!
Here on earth, Death has not ever occured in heaven!
Ahhhh bless ya you are amazing
I remember watching these guys as a kid with my Mum. I liked them then and now at 60 , I like them even more. Great to hear them again
I'm 63, and as a child, we went to Torquay for our summer holidays, and that's where I saw them and, as you say, loved them since
No gimmicks, just pure talent.
They just don't make them like this anymore. Simply pure music and words.
Peace.
Very well said Colin.
Just . love them 8
Couldn't agree with you more, the music these days is so noisy. 🇬🇧
I also remember watching these guys several years ago. I'm now in my early 70's and still enjoy listening to the very positive lyrics
Brilliant music and legend
A beautiful song sung by the wonderful Batchelors.
I grew up listening to The Batchelors, still love their songs today ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Gosh......this brought back memories! I remember singing this with my mum back in the 1960s. We used to turn the gramophone way up loud and raise the rafters. So pleased that this popped up in my feed!
So beautiful. Touched me as part of a moving church service today.
This is quality.
My mother’s 2nd cousin co-wrote this song. His (stage) name was Jimmy Shirl. I’m 65 now...I met him a few times when I was a little girl. As I remember he was a nice man.You have to have had a special soul to contribute to this magnificent song.
so glad i happen to chose to listen to I BELIEVE song!! i plan on having this played by casette at my "celebration of life" whenever that is in the future.
just love the words to this. please thank jimmy shirl & other co-writer ok!
betty gordon, ames, iowa
@@bettygordon3773 It is beautiful that you chose this song to be incorporated into your “celebration of life” plans. The lyrics describe the profound majesty of Our Creator in terms that we mortals can appreciate and relate to. Unfortunately Jimmy Shirl is deceased (I’m not sure about the co-writer, but I think he probably passed away as well) but I think that your sentiments have reached him in Heaven…Thank you for your kind reply to my comment
the original boy band and the best.
Such a touching song
My grandad used to belt this song out everytime he played it . Makes me cry everytime I watch this especially on the day he left us and gained his angel wings . Born in the 80s but grew up with the music of the 60s/70s .
THE BEST GROUP OF ALL TIMES NEVER FORGET THE BACHELORS!!!!!
I have always loved this song from the moment I watched them perform it when I was a child.
Beautiful harmony and lyrics that you just can't buy. Yes 3 men dressed in beige back then - I do hope that aspiring singers today look beyond what was the fashion back then and focus on basic talent, to hold a note and be able to sing in different keys and not over-sing, give space to the song etc
I LOVE THE BATCHELORS 💥💙
my mother adored this group what harmony, doesent get better than this
Wonderful song, sung by the most beautiful voice,R.I.P. Con so sad to hear of his passing
This is such a great memory !! - and maybe a brave song to sing at the time !!
Not heard this for 50 years. My mother would play their album over and over. I remember the record cover, 3 shows girls with the Bachelors sat below.
My Dad's favourite song miss you Dad x
Top Drawer been going for 50 years plus and still as good as ever..Long live The Bachelors
Why do performers consistently ruin remembrance by regeneration? Answer $.
What a respectable singing group the bachelors were - wish I could have had the pleasure of meeting them in person
Beautiful song, brought a tear , thinking of my parents, they both loved and sang along with this when it came on :'(
Im so glade your parents liked the song i sent phyllis delellis
My Christian faith is embedded in this most beautiful of songs.
There is truth in EVERY word of it.
One of my dad's favourite songs
My mother’s 2nd cousin co-wrote this song. His name was Jimmy Shirl...I met him a few times and as I remember (I’m 65 now) he was a nice man ( but anyone who took part in writing this beautiful song had to be pretty special).
Played this at my dad's funeral he loved this song, just played it again and the words are amazing

This was my grandmothers favourite song from her favourite singers heavily outnumbered by the family I insisted this was played at her funeral to the point that I said if it's not played I will stand up and sing it I won the day it was played and after at the wake everybody said I was right and it definitely was the right choice ❤
RIP Con so missed!
When I was a 7/8 year old we as a family to Weston Super Mare.. we saw chubby checker and others, these were there too, it’s taken me years to find them as nobody new who I was talking about ! You know they sang that big song, three men..And here you are, flashes of memories, with my dear Dad who has now past.. so excuse me while I linger here and reminisce ❤❤❤
Love the bachelors , in fact sometimes I wish I was one.
Tinker! 😀

One of the most under-rated acts of the last few decades. I remember listening to their "Best of volume 2" Album when I was a kid, and loving it.

Brilliant love them the old ones are the best ever xx
Over the years I have heard many singers perform this song, but I believe The Bachelors had one of the best renditions of this song ever. Also "Marie" and " Diane" are great recordings by The Bachelors.
Elvis's rendition is wonderful as well.
There are a few good renditions but The Bachelors are special.
Youth of today are lost with the rubbish they listen to...thank god i have the music from the Platters onwards to enjoy.
The music from this time is so special.
One of the best songs ever ❤

Hello 👋🏼 Patricia Judd
This brings me back to the sixties when as a teenager I lived in England, they were brilliant.
Just love thes songs 👍
Back in those days they didn’t have to have loud music flashing lights and girls on stage .
no they didn't need it.
Tom Jones did!
My nan loved these
Not only do you get Great music from the 50's and 60's on RUclips but you often get news about different groups and their success. In this case seeing that The Bachelors had more top 10 records in 1964 than The Beatles, surprises me. However I do consider them one of the best and most enjoyable Group's to listen to from the mid-60's era. Thanks for posting all their great music
Yes, I believe it was 4 to 3 for the Bachelors. in the U.K. However, time would soon change that but well deserved the bachelors. Different sound but great to hear.
Perfection... back in the day when singers could SING!
so trew, there was stiill music then, now it is just noise

Hello 👋🏼 Linda Swift
Mr. Bliss, as was said in the mid-60's The Bachelors charted more top ten records than The Beatles. I would say you're too young to remember the impact The Bachelors had on the music world in the 60's, those of us who were in their teens when The Bachelors hit the US remember their music fondly and with great respect.
If you check The Guinness Book Of Hits you will seen the Bachelors only had 9 top 10 hits much less than the Beatles..
