@@gtcam723 Unless there is another green loctite then 620 IS green loctite. It's what you want. Loctite retaining compound was designed for slip fit joints and the AR15 barrel/receiver fit constitutes a slip fit joint. Mike Ross from Criterion Barrels suggests this too. I've been doing it on the last few of my builds and it has resulted in good accuracy.
I built a 15.1 RECCE pretty much correct as a matter of fact you did the P/W I used a FN barrel along with the KAC hand guard Right now this my go to range rifle. The optic is temporary PA platinum Thanks for the video excellent as usual.
PLX-C? Idk why that would be a temporary scope. The PLX-C is legitimately a great LPVO. It doesn't try to be a red dot and as such has a great 1x reticle and the 1x itself is very flat which is unusual for FFP LPVOs. The 8x is serviceable, glass is good, its lightweight, tbh I can't think of an LPVO that is much better that really justifies the massive increase in price.
The audio levels on this are awfully inconsistent. Had to crank the volume to hear you talk and then belly blew my speakers when you went to the range.
@@yeshua1176 It was a post in the SOLGW owners group on facebook. Mike didn’t disclose who is making the new barrels but I’m 90% sure (I can’t find the post now) he said it wasn’t BA.
The combat and marksman barrels are for sure BA. The new precision barrels in 416r/3R I suspect are Pac-Nor or BHW. Not a lot of barrel makers do the 3R poly so it's not hard to deduce the possibilities. Look at the pricing of others that sell Pac-Nor and BHW barrels and you'll be close on which it is likely to be.
Ive known about you for a while what fantastic work you do and JUST found out you have a youtube channel. Looking forward to more content
2:39 was the ASMR I didn't know I needed
Ive been arguing for years that green loctite should go on the barrel to receiver fit. Glad to see you agree.
So why that instead of say, 620? Just curious

Mike Ross from Criterion, Inc. Also recommends this. It's really the correct way to assemble an upper.
@@armorers_wrench man I’m having a hard time keeping them all straight
@@armorers_wrenchdoes using 620 make removing the barrel much more difficult?
Looks like the barrel is good to go and a good shooter..
Damn. That's a handsome man.
Cool gat too.
I might grab one of these to have you convert it to LMT MRP for me. Great review, thanks.
Thank you David for sharing. Would you consider an update on the bcg performance after testing? Thanks

@@armorers_wrench Actually it is the 1st gen Platinum that PA sold. 1-8x24 ACSS reticle.
4:3 aspect ratio is 🤌🏿
Actually works ok on my iPhone, but probably was an editing mistake
Is that just Loctite you're using to bed the barrel extension?
Lime loctite #609 works great as a bedding compound for AR barrels.
@@American_hoboalso likes to drink it.
@@dwilsonmfg objection, consumption of Loctite 609 has no relevancy on the efficacy of the compound for use as a bedding substance.
Its loctite green retaining compound for slip fit joints.
Would there be any benefit to using the loktite on a tight receiver like bcm?

Thank goodness for Closed Captioning because the audio levels were terrible. Nice video otherwise.
If only I could actually buy one here. 🤬
