Over time, the pods mature and turn brown. Once the kapok pods mature, they split open to reveal numerous seeds embedded in fluffy, cotton-like fibers. These fibers are known as kapok and help the seeds disperse through the air. Kapok fibers are buoyant and lightweight, allowing them to be carried by the wind to new locations. This would look like snowing in the south. 😊
I think the most beautiful coastline in Shenzhen is in Dongxiyong, near the Shenzhen Astronomical Observatory. There is a very beautiful hiking trail there, but I feel it might not be very convenient to carry a camera.
