Been lived in shanghai for couple years yet missed all these hidden scenes, re-discovering them through your lens with peak cinematograph is such a blast.

These "music" are the pulse of the city. If you compare the sounds of Shanghai vs New York city, the tunes are vastly different. One are tunes of vibrancy, the other are of despair. It is like a Yang and Yin, flow of positive energy and negative energy. It is great you are noticing the positive tunes of the city, it is melding sounds of harmony.
I am a Shanghai local people.This video is really really amazing.It definitely defintitely represent Shanghai hidden music.I live in Fengxian district located in southen Shanghai.There are more hidden Shanghai Music in this disctrict as well.When you come to Shanghai again.Recommend to visti this district as well.
I have a good concept for your next video - go to chengdu and photograph all the pandas in the city. Real And fake ones. And then take the spicy interesting food and street shenanigans (but go in springtime only 😂(

When I lived in shanghai, every Saturday and Sunday I could here the faint sound of a sax from a nearby park. Was this gentle remember of the Weekend

Oh gosh, I went to several. Lu Xun Park (鲁迅公园) and Fuxing Park (复兴公园) were the main ones.
