    I agree with Jay. Being in the SEC and the “Just Means More” does not mean that we don’t lose sight that Oklahoma is filled with amazing fans. People in Oklahoma take care of each other and are very decent to each other. Being passionate about our team does not mean that we lose sight that this is just a game. Our better days are ahead and I hope that these players have better days as well.

    We know on all accounts that Jaden Rowe was one of the best three athletes on the team and I know injuries played a significant role in his development but it’s 6 foot three 210 pounds couldn’t he been moved to safety or cheetah or had 20 pounds and be one hell of a linebacker

    Here's my only thing. They come to OU, or any other school. They get hurt. We take care of them. Nobody sends them out in the cold. NCAA says rehab costs for injuries is $100,000 per student. Plus any NIL. So when they go in the portal, can we have our money back?

  • @Tijuanabill
    @Tijuanabill 22 дня назад +3

    Going forward it's going to be hard to keep long shot type players for more than a couple of years. Guys who can't stay healthy, or it just didn't work out for, can't sit on SEC rosters for 5 years anymore. The depth has to be better.

Hope the best for them both but like I always say if they don't wanna have to fight for their position then they don't belong here because that is one thing that almost always holds true there are battles at every position and it's a good thing they make everyone better

    Holding back comments on players is stupid. They went from children to adults when they turned 18. They wanted to get paid like adults now they are paid better than most all normal workers in some cases more than someone makes in a lifetime! So holding back comments is BS. They wanted to be treated like adults then that’s how it is.

    I get why Bauer transferred and i think we the fanbase have caused several transfers throughout the years, jackson, Spencer, Bauer, Bookie, etc
    The fanbase controls a lot and we dont realize it. We impact someone's experience as an athlete at Okkahoma, and these newer generation kids think they understand but they dont understand the pressure that comes with coming to Oklahoma.
    We have high expectations, and we expect elite performances point blank period, and if we dont get that we will comment on it and talk about it. The fanbases response is really rude and this kind of stuff can impact recruiting

    I’m worn out, and beginning to care very little die hard since I was little and a double grad. The free for all transfers and money grubbing have me not caring year to year as th rosters are so different. College football is dead, it just doesn’t know it yet. Give it under ten years with the money money money and getting silly fans and alums to it for the product they then it to consume. No thanks, they have people crowdfunding a team so what, you can vicariously be proud of a couple more wins than the year before. And these kids want to get paid and transfer after the money every year, their families can read whatever the fans wrote down. The fans are paying them, it’s treated like pros now, enjoy.

    NCAA needs to get involved on the transfer portal one year and out is so ridiculous !! High school kids coming in a freshman need to stay at least two years pure contract or NIL sophomores same thing ! Money is getting ridiculous. One year out you can’t even get a player. This needs to change top five program and they’re leaving coming and going? Disappointing.

    • @johnwgarrett1
      @johnwgarrett1 22 дня назад +1

      Anyone who thinks an 18 year old is emotionally qualified to be called an adult lacks education or understanding. Saying that someone who is paid more than you should have thick skin makes you at least a little complicit in the shattered lives of kids who found early success in movies or music and got hooked on drugs to cope with the pressure of performing in front of so many critical eyes. If you can't offer a little encouragement to a kid who has tried to live up to the standard of this program and realized he's not quite as talented as he hoped he was, you really ought to reexamine what your motivation is.
