I agree with Jay. Being in the SEC and the “Just Means More” does not mean that we don’t lose sight that Oklahoma is filled with amazing fans. People in Oklahoma take care of each other and are very decent to each other. Being passionate about our team does not mean that we lose sight that this is just a game. Our better days are ahead and I hope that these players have better days as well.
Good point Jay. No reason to stoop to the level some fans sink to. These players are young men who deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of how bad they played
We know on all accounts that Jaden Rowe was one of the best three athletes on the team and I know injuries played a significant role in his development but it’s 6 foot three 210 pounds couldn’t he been moved to safety or cheetah or had 20 pounds and be one hell of a linebacker
Here's my only thing. They come to OU, or any other school. They get hurt. We take care of them. Nobody sends them out in the cold. NCAA says rehab costs for injuries is $100,000 per student. Plus any NIL. So when they go in the portal, can we have our money back?
Going forward it's going to be hard to keep long shot type players for more than a couple of years. Guys who can't stay healthy, or it just didn't work out for, can't sit on SEC rosters for 5 years anymore. The depth has to be better.
I figured that when Arnold left sharp would too just like with rattler but that's life. Hope the best for them both but like I always say if they don't wanna have to fight for their position then they don't belong here because that is one thing that almost always holds true there are battles at every position and it's a good thing they make everyone better
Although we hate to see these young men enter the transfer portal, we need to realize these are young men with hopes and dreams. OU is not the dream place for everyone, so let's wish them well in their endeavor to follow their hopes and dreams. Good luck guys!
Holding back comments on players is stupid. They went from children to adults when they turned 18. They wanted to get paid like adults now they are paid better than most all normal workers in some cases more than someone makes in a lifetime! So holding back comments is BS. They wanted to be treated like adults then that’s how it is.
This is 100% why NIL is a poison for college football. The only way to fix it now is to get salary caps and a commissioner. Withholding accountability for guys that make $200k+ routinely and a full ride is nonsense.
Never mad at any of these kids for going out and doing what they think is best for themselves. I do think sometimes it is a mistake but hey if a new job comes and offers me more money I'll probably take it. Can't hate on them for doing the same.
He wants a fresh start and feels like our medical staff failed him. This next year is pivotal for his nfl hopes and he can’t trust our med staff enough to risk his career
Your first statements is spot on and with the way some of these so-called fans talk about these kids is absolutely disgusting and if they keep talking out their asses we'll be lucky to get any players
The thing is, we have to lose at least 20 players, if not 30? That’s due to the new scholarship rules. Not only do we have to thin the herd, but we have to add talent at the same time! This is only the “tip” of what we are going to contribute to the portal this season.
Is it a possibility that with the new 105 players cap that a few of these guys are losing scholarships because of not enough field time, therefore they have to look elsewhere?
Mark Andrew’s first year at Oklahoma was very similar to sharpes, horrible. But the next years from then, he was super good as we all know. Who knows, sharpe could have turned it around and became the next mark Andrew’s if he stayed. But that’s a stretch 😂
You know what I’m starting to learn ? I see 3 ,4 and 5 star players leaving and you never see them on the field. This star grading is obviously a crap shoot . No science behind this stuff …
I get why Bauer transferred and i think we the fanbase have caused several transfers throughout the years, jackson, Spencer, Bauer, Bookie, etc The fanbase controls a lot and we dont realize it. We impact someone's experience as an athlete at Okkahoma, and these newer generation kids think they understand but they dont understand the pressure that comes with coming to Oklahoma. We have high expectations, and we expect elite performances point blank period, and if we dont get that we will comment on it and talk about it. The fanbases response is really rude and this kind of stuff can impact recruiting
Aye, best of luck to ‘em, but we only want players that are locked in want to be at Oklahoma. Obviously this season was booty, but it’s NOT going to last.
I’m worn out, and beginning to care very little die hard since I was little and a double grad. The free for all transfers and money grubbing have me not caring year to year as th rosters are so different. College football is dead, it just doesn’t know it yet. Give it under ten years with the money money money and getting silly fans and alums to it for the product they then it to consume. No thanks, they have people crowdfunding a team so what, you can vicariously be proud of a couple more wins than the year before. And these kids want to get paid and transfer after the money every year, their families can read whatever the fans wrote down. The fans are paying them, it’s treated like pros now, enjoy.
Im not saying anything bad cause it dont matter we can get good players to. I will say though cant worry about what people say about you if you make it to NFL or someone in the military this is nothing people say mean things have to be prepared for that.
NCAA needs to get involved on the transfer portal one year and out is so ridiculous !! High school kids coming in a freshman need to stay at least two years pure contract or NIL sophomores same thing ! Money is getting ridiculous. One year out you can’t even get a player. This needs to change top five program and they’re leaving coming and going? Disappointing.
People in Oklahoma are very kind until you play football at OU and have a bad year. That’s why we can’t keep kids. Fans need to keep their snide comments to themselves. These are kids, kids who are getting paid, but still kids.
@bronsonmcniel5266 I do, and I also protect them from rude customers. I think you have hit on the main problem in this thread. Some commenters think we are the owners of the football team. But we are just the customers.
Children lolol smh you pay $4000 a year between football and softball tickets then come talk to me us fans are financially invested so we can and will criticize a players play EVERYTIME this aint highschool ball this is dam near semi pro
I could care less if a parent sees a comment about their precious little child not performing at OU who by the way is making money. Had they not been helicopter parents and coddled their kid, maybe they would have been tougher and able to grow.
Yeah Sharp was great this year keep up the good work, not. He was horrible and our coaches were definitely not paying attention trying to feature him every series
Y’all wouldn’t talk like that if these where yall kids people leaving haven’t been playing wish them luck a move on ! Boomer! A sharp did what he could but it’s a wrap good luck fellas.
These players are grown adults that make more money than all of us and treated like kings and were supposed to kiss their butt? If they want to get paid like adults, then they need to suck it up and deal with it. Welcome to real life.
Anyone who thinks an 18 year old is emotionally qualified to be called an adult lacks education or understanding. Saying that someone who is paid more than you should have thick skin makes you at least a little complicit in the shattered lives of kids who found early success in movies or music and got hooked on drugs to cope with the pressure of performing in front of so many critical eyes. If you can't offer a little encouragement to a kid who has tried to live up to the standard of this program and realized he's not quite as talented as he hoped he was, you really ought to reexamine what your motivation is.

Thanks gentlemen for choosing OU, sorry things didnt work out. Best wishes for your next adventure.
Rowe is a freak of a athlete, to bad it didn't work out.
Thanks to all the guys. I know everything didn't work out the way you wanted. Hopefully a new start is what everyone needs. Good luck.
Agree with Jay..be kind
Good point Jay. No reason to stoop to the level some fans sink to. These players are young men who deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of how bad they played
Fax. Everyones path in this life is different and not entirely predictable. Let people do what's best for them and let them live their lives.
Wish him well no need to bash him. He worked hard
Good disclaimer bro. Sometimes we forget how our comments effect these young men,
Nothing against Sharp but man did he look lost out there most of the time. He made some of the dumbest penalties as well. It’s the truth
After OU Insiders video we are all concerned that the sports medicine ppl aren’t doing right by the guys.
Thanks for info,appreciate you!!!

Well said Jay!

The roster restrictions drive this as much as anything.

I can see this and as for as Sharp with new OC and QB situation I understand him moving on.
He sucked so who cares
This is the transfer portal giveth! Sorry it didn't workout with OU. Hopefully he will do well wherever he lands.
Case in point, I’m a semi Duck fan because of Gabriel. Sooner family
Really hoping DG wins it all!
Although we hate to see these young men enter the transfer portal, we need to realize these are young men with hopes and dreams. OU is not the dream place for everyone, so let's wish them well in their endeavor to follow their hopes and dreams. Good luck guys!
You can’t really blame the players blame the system, it’s called money and way too many portal dates. Needs to be only one portal opening per season.
Wish nothing but good things for Baur Sharp...and the others..
Thanks gentlemen for your service as Sooners. You are appreciated! I got nothin' but love for you #Boomer
I wish them all the best. These things are going to happen every year.

Now thats just some dumb shit to say. You JEALOUS
I could not agree more, misterb!!

Sorry to see them go but it's the nature of the business. I wish them well. Boomer Sooner
I wish all of them good luck. I really wish they wud have stayed.
Hopefully we get Koziol! It would be nice to have a 6’7” TE that we can target like a WR.
Jay this is Cfb it’s ruthless you know this man.

Bauer couldn't block a leaking faucet.
😂😂😂
I disagree. Dude threw the best lookout block in the country.
@Oklahoma75 1 block doesn't save a season of whiffing.
@@larryrussell9295absolutely a liability in blocking
So what revievers does ou have left
I wonder how much nil money this will free up?
Good luck to Rowe. Has all the tools to play in the NFL. Go get developed!
Is it a possibility that with the new 105 players cap that a few of these guys are losing scholarships because of not enough field time, therefore they have to look elsewhere?
Plenty of WR hitting portal from big time schools. We need to go get them period
Mark Andrew’s first year at Oklahoma was very similar to sharpes, horrible. But the next years from then, he was super good as we all know. Who knows, sharpe could have turned it around and became the next mark Andrew’s if he stayed. But that’s a stretch 😂
Sharp has insane potential. He’s way better than some of these doomer “fans” paint him to be.
@ I agree.
Average player won't miss him
Edited version..🤐... did our leading receiver have 127 yds on the season ?
If this medical staff is not replaced then the school is not serious about their football program.

We uave a leading receiver?😂
Mutts won and Beck passed for a measly 56 yards
2nd string qb passed for a measly 71 yards 😂😂😂😂
No excuses for Offensive line and or receivers
Well let me tell you.....wait, what did Jay say ?......ok, nevermind..🤣🤣🤣🤣
Our whole offense is leaving lol. QB, RB’s, and WR’s
We need to get that WR from Texas tech.
Wonder if we will win our bowl game 😂
No
Pay back money given
So much unknown right now. No clue what OU is going to look like
didnt Boganowski knock Bauer out of the spring game lol. That told me everything i need to know about a tight end
Good advice shouldn’t bad mouth players are recruits Out in public on X. Not a good look and doesn’t help us
Every fan base do the same thing 😂
The moment they began getting NIL money, the moment they opened themselves up for criticism

Sharp is not a loss. For a TE. his blocking skills are non existent .
Texas is soft, clown program, horns down for life!
I can remember when players played hurt, I guess it’s a different generation!
Some want to stretch out their college earnings time?
Story of OU. Players can't stay healthy. Never have I witnessed the number of injuries.
Whatever player that don't want to be down with the home team then move around but one thing is important nobody likes quiters
Sharp deserved all the criticism for his inability to catch the football.

To be honest, our entire offense could transfer and we would be better off
I’m losing hope in next season already lol. 0% chance we replace what we are losing on offense in 1 year.
The bar isn’t set high for whoever is replacing is them😂
Whatever. BOOMER!
Holy crap I thoght Osama Bin Laden was gone 😂
Honestly good riddance to Bauer Sharp, dude dropped so many passes this year
Kick Rocks
Praise God Bauer Sharp is GONE!

Oklahoma needs help badly
It’s all about who can pay the most money .College is now worst then the NFL

Sounds like you're glad Cayden Green went to Missouri.
Dude was trash
BV and staff are the reason for the toxicity. The past 13 months have been a complete disaster!
Meets all the metrics … 6’3” 250lbs , runs the 100 in 10 seconds . But never see them on the field cause they can’t play football good enough 🙄
Good riddance 😂
