ST17 - FRIENDLY GROVE SKATEPARK | Olympia, WA

It was a trip (no pun intended) to go to the capital of Washington State to hit up one of their skateparks for my Tour Series. It was fun to think about the state I grew up in and get excited for the future stops at the skateparks in all the other cities that are in Washington. Although there are more skateparks in Olympia, it was a surreal experience to go the capital building and think about all of the great people who have paved the way before me to make this state special and unique. It's a blessing to have so many skateboarders who have gone before me to create these skateparks to challenge myself and be creative making these videos. I had a lot of fun with this one even though it was a solo mission.
Friendly Grove Skatepark is not a large skatepark, but it does have some well-built basics that you can definitely stay entertained with. Like I said in the video, I grew up skateboarding at my local elementary school which was just flatground asphalt. That means even when I go to a skatepark with only 4-5 obstacles I still always stay grateful, as there's always a way to have a good time. I'm glad that it didn't rain me out after making the trek way down there, but the clouds definitely brought some doubts in at first. But in the end I had an enjoyable little training session and ended off the day with a beautiful sunset. Hope you enjoy seeing a skater try to take on this skatepark.
