OLYMPIC INSIDE THERE
Really glad that they invested in bringing this ship up to par with her younger sisters. Celebrity really does do a fabulous job!
Celebrity Millennium, I liked it internally, classic line and at the same time exquisite and pleasant.
Leaving for the Panama Canal cruise in 2 weeks. Ship looks great. Completely redesigned. Have only sailed on Celebrity the last 20 yrs. Never disappoints.
Bon voyage!
I may be going on this ship when I go to Japan later this year. A dream tip, business and may meet some japanese friends there.
apparently this ship went into drydock in 2019, the interior looks really fresh and updated.
Thank you! We will be sailing on the Millennium for the first time in August 2022 in Alaska!
Bon voyage!
This is the closest I will get to cruising for a while. Thanks for sharing!
Great tour of an amazing vessel! Good job!
Thank you!
Just watched this video. Very informative. I plan on booking this ship next year. Thanks for sharing your video
My pleasure! Bon voyage!
It's looking super 😀❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ thanks for sharing 😀❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I did a 12 night cruise on the Millennium in Aqua Class and it was fine, but it didn't hold a candle to my next two cruises with Viking.
Yo quiero estar en un crucero con toda my familia🎉❤
Just sailed on the Millennium 3/31. And I love Celebrity ships however I don’t need to sail on this ship again. We were in royal suite and the suite was wonderful but the food in the specialty restaurants was really bad. Luminae was good. This was my first and last cruise on this ship.
Well, totally unplanned, spontaneous, and very unexpectedly, I booked a 7D Vancouver to Seward, Alaska on the Millennium, sailing in three weeks. We have been sailing small ship Azamara for 10 years now, this Alaska cruise is a step down ship wise, and definitely a step up in ship size. Comparisons will be unavoidable, BUT, I've heard nothing but great things about Celebrity from Azamara guests who have sailed both. The price of my guaranteed, inside, steerage room (I believe it will adjoin either the engine room, or more probably, the toilet in the engine room) was so unrealistically and absurdly low that I grabbed it. It will put me back about 2 tanks of gasoline (okay, perhaps 3). Your video is a very pleasant, reassuring shot in the arm. We were unable to book sail away dinner at the Tuscan grill, and thanks to your video, I doubt we will set foot in there. Anyone who puts peas into a Carbonara (or cream for that matter) doesn't know how to cook, and certainly cannot cook Italian. The MDR looks great. Sushi on 5 look very great. My relaxation centers around the pool/steam/sauna, and I've booked a 1 week pass. I cannot find any information as to what I've actually purchased. Surprises to be determined. As for Alaska, perhaps 1 or 2 short ships tours to see bears and flowers, otherwise, plunk me down with a book, a window, and let the world go by. Again, thank you for this most excellent video, your timing could not have been better. D
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
Awesome video :)
Thanks so much!
i've been a chef for 30 years and i just have one question: wtf is a "ground beef filet mignon"?????
Would you recommend booking a room on deck 10? Is it a deal or would the deck 11 dancing be heard through the night, or the noise from the other activities on Deck 10?
I would be mindful of activities a deck above or below. Noise can transfer for sure.
As you are Celebrity expert, which Millennium Aqua class cabins# are quiet. Thanks!
I don’t know of any specific numbers, but I would look at the deck plans to ensure the selected cabin is isolated from noisy areas or venues above, below and to the side including elevators. Thanks for watching!
We've been on many Celebrity cruises, but never on this ship. We'll be on it in April for a Panama Canal crossing. Looks great, but I'll definitely miss the specialty French restaurant the other ships have. Oh well, we won't ever be hungry! Thanks for the tour!
Sure thing! Bon voyage!
Been on many cruises. Going on this cruise with a group of guys. How does this experience fair with the demographic of people?
You should have a great time. Bon voyage!
Is the Millennium currently operating at full capacity or something less?
I'm not entirely sure, but cruise lines are beginning to ramp up their capacities now.
It's really kind of sad had some of these tours think what's a popular style now is an improvement. The retreat bar, in no way, comes close to the rich and special feeling Michael's Club. I was on this ship not only when it was about 2 months old, but also viewed it as it was designed for its time period. The point of the Millennium was to be "retro-moder" which is basically, what Celebrity style has been from the Century class ship of 1995 to much of the Solstice class ship of 2008. This type of design is timeless and can be seen in modern ships of today. To refer to Michael's Club as "sullen" is clueless IMO. The new retreat lounge is the beige, peach champagne trendy look seen in a lot of spaces and isn't special. Losing Michael's Club to the Retreat lounge is Celebrity's unfortunate ship within a ship class system that is creeping into many lines. I see now part of the deck space is Retreat only as well. The best addition is the Martini Bar, definitely in the retro modern elegant style of Celebrity and in the style from the Solstice and thankfully not from the Edge ships.
Some changes were made in bringing in specialty restaurants but a lot of downgrades happened to the ship. The original casino was much more expensive looking. The fittings in the bars were much more expensively furnished. And whoever decided to change the dining room doesn't appreciate the rich splendor and timeless design of the original. Don't make this ship an Edge class in color scheme because you just date it to this time and some other color scheme will be popular in 10 years. Edge ships aren't that great and probably Celebrity's weakest in social, mix and mingle areas.
Some of the goodness remains in that at least it still has a Rendezvous Lounge and such but again lightening and brightening everything takes away some of the vibrancy of the original spaces and how things pop with strategic bright colors from the darker areas and also, at night, you don't get the same sense of charm or romance as you do with lighter/brighter and paler colors. That's not the ambiance accomplished. The ship is an evening to night ship and that's where dark colors with brighter furnishings and rich upholstery work their magic.
The whole reason to refurbish a ship should not be to change its style but to change out furnishings that are worn and improve certain aspects. Solstice ships are an evolution of Celebrity where Edge ships are a redefinition and these ships don't need to look like Edge ships. For those that like Edge ships, which I'm not, you have 4 and one more coming. Keep the goodness of the previous ships intact. This ship has taken on too much of Edge style in too many areas.
Interesting take. I agree with you that ship personality matters and that it can be lost when updates occur. Here’s to some of that personality returning one day.

Would have been a fantastic video if you spoke slower
