    Is ECBA certification for those who don't know anything about the tools that we need for analysis?

    • @Projerra
      @Projerra  2 года назад +2

      The ECBA is the entry (first) level, but don't let it confuse you. It is important to study the BABOK and understand the tools and techniques. So I would not say that they don't know anything about about business analysis. What we can say is that they don't have a lot of practical experience with business analysis. They have a lot of book learning, but they haven't applied their learning to many different projects. Hope that helps.

      I am sorry but I didn't got your point. Could you please elaborate it. I also have a question, in an articles it was mentioned that we need 21 hours of professional experience to be eligible for the certification and I don't have any experience. Please suggest something. Thankyou!

    • @Projerra
      @Projerra  2 года назад +2

      @@KuldeepSingh-rg9mz the three certificates require a different number of years of professional work experience but they all require 21hr of training that you can achieve by taking a course from an IIBA endorsed education provider. Look for the list a approved courses on the iiba website. Good luck.

    Hey thanks a lot for this video. I have a question for you. I am currently a DevOps technical person nothing to do with BA. But, I got an opportunity to explore the BA side as well if I m liking that part of the job I might think of changing my career slowly to be a technical BA . Since I don't have any experience as of now do you think ECBA is a good option to start with?

    • @Projerra
      @Projerra  2 года назад

      Good morning Raveena... The ECBA will give you a good foundation in the basic tools and techniques... so yes, it is a great place to start. I do ask you to consider a few elements: 1) DevOps vs BA is not an either or type of question. Training in business analysis and DevOps can be combined and applied in many different situations. You may find that your BA training will make you more valued in your DevOps role. 2) Becoming a BA doesn't stop after your first course or first certification. It is a life long pursuit, where by different projects and assignments will help you develop and refine your skills and abilities. Good luck to you.

    Hi ma'am 🙂
    I am willing to pursue a professional certification program in Data Science and Business Analyst from University of Maryland.
    Is it a good option?
    Please Help me with a good suggestion 🙂

    • @Projerra
      @Projerra  2 года назад

      Good day Partha. I won't comment on the specific program that you are referring to, because I am not familiar with it... but I will say that any education in data science and business analysis will be helpful to your career development. After the basic education, see where the job market takes you. You may need an internationally recognized certification, or perhaps not. Good luck.

    Hi mam, I want to start with ECBA certification as I'm new to BA. You mentioned that ECBA requires 21 hours of training. Should the training be an external one?

    • @Projerra
      @Projerra  2 года назад

      Good morning. I strongly suggest that the training be delivered by an IIBA endorsed education provider. www.iiba.org/professional-development/endorsed-education-and-training-providers/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwspKUBhCvARIsAB2IYut4mmO8xN5AovnMUIUMF18K6WQ7sxbtfqIDEp0RCJg7B_jiCHtlacUaAi7KEALw_wcB Unfortunately many training providers don't qualify. Good luck.
