Great video. I immediately subscribed. I just got a OM-5 a few days ago and was a bit overwhelmed because it's my first proper camera that is not just my phone. Really helpful

Ah that's awesome mate! Yeah In the beginning It's a lot to take in but don't worry you'll notice yourself focusing less on the camera and more on the compositions in notime! 😁

Always interesting to see how people set up their cameras. Compared to my EM5 Mark3 I really enjoy the handheld high resolution shot on the OM5 so I set up one of the buttons for that.

Do you recommend getting the 12-45 lense with this camera or upgrade to the 12-40 f2.8?

Just to be clear, I haven't tested the 12-40 2.8 but when I was gonna get the OM-5 I was looking at both these lenses and as it seems, the 12-45 is slightly sharper overall than the 12-40 and that made my decision to get it.
But as the people on the internet says, you'd be happy with both. F2.8 would maybe be good to get if you'd like to try out some night shooting, milky way etc 😁

I have both, the 12-45 is considerably lighter than the 12-40 and in my opinion is best suited to the OM5. The 12-40 is a better combo with the EM1 mkii.

Get the 12-40mm lens. I have had mine since 2014 when it came out, and it's far more versatile and just as sharp. You are going to find it very limiting really quickly in a lot of situations with the 12-45.
