This band is great!! This is real rock and roll!!
This is my first time listening to them and I was blown away I absolutely love this band !
They've come a LONG way. In the beginning the vokills were just so over the top yet still so raw that it was a bit hard to take over long periods of time. But they have really locked in, found a pace that hones the main vokiller from drawing out the words so long that they became scratchy ... now it's perfect. Freaking good
Loving them, loving the lead singers voice (singing and talking).

Love the uberheavy psychedelic groove and frenetic vocals of Abre Camino. Sort of a psychotic blend of Thirteenth Floor Elevators, early Sabbath, and The B-52s. Really good!

Loved these folks ever since I saw them open for my idol Roky Erickson! Excellent performance here and KEXP's funky lighting experience by Mad Alchemy was a real trip! BIG thanks to everyone involved!

Wow: Abre Camino, I think 1967 is calling! I used to listen to this kind of stuff back in the early 70's with my friends older brother and his buddies when they were doing things none of us had any business doing!
I feel like something very special is happening in the waters of rock once again. New waves of creativity are flowing in.
Came to see Rikki Styxx play drums....stayed for the all around kickassedness! And not to mention all the joy and splendor
There's nothing better than a band that you can tell are having fun playing!

I just LOVED this joy and splender interview. DVG is the cutest totally bad ass band I know of. Musically, drums and bass are as driving and compelling as it gets. Lead guitar - umparrelled - I mean that absolutely literally, no hyperbole! Bonny, as perfect a rock and roll sprite as has ever existed 💮.
First time listening to these guys. A definite favorite now. Thanks, KEXP!

Agreed. Would probably be cool at a venue with sheets, etc., but KEXP was perfect without it.
Looked like they were trying for a Squid Soup effect and didn't quite pull it off. But hey, it's an experiment, a work in progress, and I'll be watching their progress.

Guitar sound like the early Cobain stuff. "Bleach" era.
Their guitarist is Larry Schemel, brother of Hole’s Patty Schemel, so they have a big time Nirvana connection in Death Valley Girls. And Patty actually was one of DVG’s early drummers.
