      I have an American Giant hoodie and personally hate the fit. It is plenty wide but not long.

      I have both. American Giant is way more durable by far.

    • @Sscottayboyeful

      I own both.
      The flint and tinder I find runs small. Very tight in the arms. Its shrunk overtime too. It is also a blend cotton poly blend. The hood is small and not something I use. I find it comfortable enough to go out in but, I've woken up to pull it off whenever falling asleep with it. It tends to ride up when zipped.
      American giants classic hoodie is roomie. Only slightly loose for me but, not overly baggy looking. I've knocked out wearing this on cold nights and slept through the night no problems. 100% cotton. Forearm to elbow patch. Huge hood. Nice heavy material.

    Man watching this when the 10 year was only $98 and American Giant was $89 😭 American Giant now like $138 unless it’s on sale, and the specialty hoodies are even more than that

    I am using one Grey color and the zip is the one I like most. More so it is cotton (synthetic materials do not suit me) and keep me warm in winter. I am 86 and am proud to buy one made in America.

    The thing that I like most about my American Giant is the generous size of the hood. I have three of them, black, green and gray. Like you said the cut is different, but for me it is a plus because of my build. These are definitely going to appeal more to people with slimmer, or more muscular builds.They are coming out with flannel shirts soon, and I really look forward to those. Great video by the way, subbed.

    I own both recently acquired my American giant hoodie. The flint and tinder was purchased several years ago and wore out after owning for a year and rarely wear it because it looks worn out vs broken in. American giant heavyweight feels quality and owned it a few months and really like it. Black seems to have already begun to fade after 2 washes. I hang to dry my jackets. The navy option seems to hold the color better.

    • @BeastMadeReviews
      @BeastMadeReviews  3 года назад

      I'm not really sure. That's a very specific requirement and I haven't tested it in that way. I think that the American Giant hoodie is one of the nicest (and warmest) of the hoodies that I've tried, but it's not a replacement for a heavier jacket. But you can always layer if you need to.

    Love American Giant. Bought for the whole family. Have a couple of the "no hood" motorcycle models. This model is great as a layer under an unlined waxed jacket.
    Actually, if American Giant made a waxed jacket I "might" consider changing from my tried and true Filson Tin Cruiser for a fully Made in USA product.

  • @JSchroederee
    @JSchroederee 5 лет назад +3

    I have both and the American Giant is hands down my go to. I think the F&T just feels like a slightly better quality version of your average hoodie and has more of the classic dumpy look. AG feels better and I think looks better. Both are good but I think the Made in America Quality aspect is over hyped. However, it’s worth paying extra to know your jacket wasn’t made by kids in a sweatshop.

    Enjoyed the review...but I cannot stand hoodies. To me, the only things worse is some douche wearing his pants pulled halfway down his ass...LOL!
    Anyway, it is nearly impossible to find clothing that fits me property. I'm not a youngster, but I maintain my appearance in that my chest is 47" and my waist is 33"...so I cannot find much to fit property since now all men's clothing is now made for fat-fucks with moobs and 12" inch arms OR men that have anorexic bodies with not a single ounce of muscle. What and the hell has happened to our society? Ugh!
    I would love to see you review tuckless/untuck shirts because they look promising...but I'm afraid they will too will fit like crap and/or aren't worth the money.
    Would also love to find some beastmade clothing for men who look actually look like men: 10+ inch taper, muscular arms/back/shoulders. Where can I get beastmade shirts made from scratch and that actually fit? Thanks!

    • @BeastMadeReviews
      @BeastMadeReviews  6 лет назад

      I have a similar problem. While my chest is smaller than yours, I find it hard to get clothes that look great off the rack most of the time. Ultimately, if we want the best fit, we just have to get them tailored. As for the untucked shirts, I do need to make a review of those. I have had good luck with the brand Untuckit.
